WSF- I agree, I say that we get Pierre and a couple of relievers from Florida over here. Rick White and Gary Glover are not the answer this year, we need to get a couple more quality arms if we want to get back into this race. CWSOX45 If we could get one of Spooneybarger or Looper from them, I'd be all for it. However, I really don't think we need to go shopping for another reliever. I feel that Almonte and Ginter can get the job done for us. If Florida wants to, I'd definately package up White and Glover up along with Rauch for Pierre. Ginter yes, I'm not sure about my boy Edwin Almonte tho. Maybe a change of scenery would do him good in Chicago. CWSOX45

One stat sticks out like a sore thumb at me. His K:BB ratio of about 3.5:1 is not good, and I assume that's in about 235 ab's....that's like 1 K ever 4.25 ab's, and over about 600 ab's, that's like 140 K's, and 40 walks. Some stats mean very little....but he obviously has to work on his plate discipline before he is ready for the majors. Witesoxfan, I also noticed that. Do you think that may be because once he hits a couple homeruns he swings for the fences everytime? You know kinda like he has Ray Durham syndrome. CWSOX45

I doubt it, Garland has done very well against Boston. Remember last year and his spectacular 8 inning shut out? Garland has had some great quality starts and I've been very pleased of how he's performed as of late. He has not gotten ANY run support, much like Mark Buehrle. CWSOX45

I agree with all of your points. I shared some of my feelings earlier on the gamethread. Jimenez is not a player that should be considered in the Sox future. CWSOX45

and the play by the lazy asshole bites the Sox. Boston leads 1-0. I'm sick of seeing lazy ass baseball from Jimenez. CWSOX45

The colors of the message board keep changing color every time I hit the refresh button!!!! CWSOX45

That's one reason why I hate Jimenez, that's a bulls*** play. He makes it if he's paying attention and not being a dumb f***. Trade his ass now, that should not be tolerated on any baseball level. CWSOX45

Oh goody, more Willie. Maybe he's the answer in centerfield?! CWSOX45

Just thought I'd post Khalil Greene's stats so everyone can see what Cali is talking about, this kid is a stud. He was called up June 9th to AAA. Mobile BayBears 04/03 to 06/08 AVG R H RBI HR BB SO SB CS .275 20 63 20 3 16 55 2 3 Portland Beavers 06/10 to 06/15 AVG R H RBI HR BB SO SB CS .357 4 10 9 2 0 10 0 0 Does anyone know anything about this guys defense? In AA in 54 games he committed 9 errors, while in his brief 7 games in AAA he has one error. Does anyone also know how fast this guy is? Any help would be great, thanks. CWSOX45

WSF- I'd love to acquire Juan Pierre, and sign him to a long term deal. He'd be a perfect addition to this team, and then we only have to worry about getting a damn shortstop. CWSOX45
-
Jimenez does not have great range, the shortstop we acquire HAS to be able to cover a broad area of the infield. Otherwise we are going to be weak up the middle....AGAIN. CWSOX45
-
Cool. Let's get him, do you think there is a greater chance of hell freezing over than the Sox signing Tejada? CWSOX45
-
The only way kids should be brought up quickly through the system is if a team is rebuilding. Hell who knows we might see half of these guys in the not too distant future if the Sox don't get their act together. CWSOX45

This franchise blows, right now at least. It also has blown for awhile. It will continue to blow until we begin to contend at a regular basis. Simple facts. CWSOX45

I think Reed will be up here before Webster, Webster is still pretty young isn't he?? Anyway, I would think that Joe Borchard would end up being a DH in the future, because we know Frank won't be around forever unfortunately. Another possibility is if we deal Maggs or he signs for big bucks after becoming a free agent. I wouldn't mind having an outfield of Ordonez, Reed and Webster. Borchard could be a great DH. Let's just hope those two guys get here first. CWSOX45
-
Excellent. I'd like to see Reed up with the Sox next year possibly in September as a call-up. Than let him have his shot to make the big league club. CWSOX45
-
If the Sox take 2 from Boston I'll be satisfied. CWSOX45
-
Hey don't give up yet, we'll most likely turn it on in September and finish at 81-81..........Damn, that still sucks. CWSOX45

With the way some of those hitters described Loaiza's performance I think it would be wise to lock him up for at least two years. Especially if he has success with Miguel catching him. CWSOX45

Knowing the lunatic he is, nothing would surprise me. CWSOX45
