  1. You're right. Our rotation is looking pretty damn good right now, there is no reason to trade on of our aces when we are contending. CWSOX45
  2. Yes, that and Aquafina water bottles, lol. CWSOX45
  3. I was sitting in 531 and there were some girls throwing punches. Either that or some people skipped the parade yesterday for the game. No way! Section 531? What row were u in? CWSOX45
  4. I did. I was sitting in section 531, It was a couple of sections over close to the Sox dugout. The first fight involved a couple of chicks that started throwing eachother down the stairs. Security got up there pretty quickly. Than a couple minutes later about 5 or 6 guys started throwing fists at eachother. One person picked up another fans glove and threw it down to the main concourse level. I really didn't hear anything that was said, since I was kind of far away. Hope I helped a little. CWSOX45
  5. I saw it on the SportingNews website.....not exactly sure who wrote it.. CWSOX45
  6. Mariners are contending, they won't give us Cameron unless we give them something they need in return.....which is basically....NOTHING. The Mariners are the best team in baseball right now and probably have no interest in trading Cameron back to the Sox. CWSOX45
  7. Cotts isnt that great. Im not a minors expert but I believe hes has no control. If its Lawrence, a proven MLBer, for Cotts, a minor leaguer with no control, Ill take Lawrence. Reed could be good but hes still not a proven MLBer like Lawrence is... Trust me he's the real deal. Especially if he's named to the Future All-Star game. Let's just hope he keeps it up. CWSOX45
  8. I saw an article earlier on the places he might go, Sox were 10th on that list for some reason. Cubs were second..... CWSOX45
  9. No idea, maybe someone from Colorodo? That GM gave us Pacheco for Sandy Alomar, even though Colorodo wasn't even close to contending. That move had no logic to it what-so-ever. CWSOX45
  10. LOL. He wont be underrated after this season, he'll be makin the big bucks. CWSOX45
  11. The Padres won't give him up unless we give them some of our young talent, Towers isn't an idiot. He's probably ask for Jeremy Reed or Cotts or something like that. CWSOX45
  12. Right on Steve. CWSOX45
  13. If this team is to contend and make the post-season Jimenez and Harris will not cut it, we're going to need Castillo. CWSOX45
  14. Hitchcock would be okay, we don't need anymore young pitchers over here. I'd prefer Ponson if we're going to add a starter. CWSOX45
  15. The only change in our line-up is Nixon, and we don't even get the lead-off hitter we need so badly. Our starting rotation is actually worse off than it started. We're trying to contend here Roman, not deal away an ace and a potential all-star. CWSOX45
  16. Alex Sanchez, u mean Freddy? You were close enough tho. CWSOX45
  17. Allow me to clarify what I meant by "always knew." The Marlins organization believed that if Renteria developed in the big leagues, then they were positive he could put up these numbers. Edgar Renteria is the most underrated shortstop in the entire game, at least in my opinion he is. CWSOX45
  18. You're correct, it's been a career year. Yet I'm just saying from the people I've talked to they always knew that Renteria would eventually have a season or two like this in his career. I'm not that surprised, even with his extraordinary OPS. CWSOX45
  19. If we give up Borchard too we better get Shoppach, Nixon, and Sanchez for that deal. Benson? No thanks. They can keep him. CWSOX45
  20. Steve I agree with you. Aaron Rowand can play at the major league level. We need a lead-off guy, and I hope Kenny realizes that he's in Florida. CWSOX45
  21. Now Byrnes is the guy I would be sceptical about--he is not as good as the stats suggest. Better than Singleton OBP-wise, but is playing over his head even more so than either Lowell, Renteria or Mora. He is Jeremy Giambi of last year/Bill Mueller of this year but with better defense, younger and cheaper. There is no reason to doubt Eric Byrnes. After seeing him play in the minors a couple years back I knew he was going to be a good player. Byrnes works and hustles his ass off every play. He's the type of guy I want on my team. As for Renteria, he's always been a solid player. I'm not quite sure what you mean by playing over his head, the Marlins organization always believed that he'd put up the current numbers that he's putting up this year. CWSOX45
  22. We don't need a whiny baby like Weaver. Jon Garland is just as talented if not more, and is only 23 I believe. Danny Wright is also younger than Weaver. Weaver would be a cancer in our clubhouse, we don't need to waste money on a cancer.
  23. LOL. I was just about to comment that Jeremy Reed was NOT STRUGGLING. Thanks for the laugh, maybe we'll see Jeremy up in Charlotte soon?! CWSOX45
  24. We know all that already, the only player you do support is Frank. CWSOX45
  25. Molto, I agree. However since the Sox are gaining ground in the AL Central it wouldn't be a bad idea to acquire someone else to play second base. (Luis Castillo). Now if the Sox for some reason fall flat on their face before the trade deadline then there's nothing wrong with letting Jimenez grow and learn to play at the big league level. However I feel that if this team wants to win the division they need a guy like Luis Castillo. CWSOX45
