  1. Thome should have been traded at the deadline last year. There was no reason to keep an aging DH getting paid a gazillion dollars
  2. Am I the only one that thinks that an Edwards endorsement right now isn't that big of a deal? Where was he before NC and WV? I mean the race is 99.9% over so who cares.
  3. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 14, 2008 -> 01:46 PM) Thinking out loud... might it be Jim Webb? I hope not. The more i read about him the less excited I get.
  4. Dana Milbank just made me laugh out loud... Full Article
  5. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 14, 2008 -> 01:12 PM) Does Halperin know something we don't? Marc Ambinder says that the Obama campaign will be unveiling a big endorsement tonight.
  6. Does Halperin know something we don't?
  7. Another sign that it's over for Hillary, NARAL Pro-Choice America Endorses Obama.
  8. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 14, 2008 -> 11:02 AM) that's just creepy. You should have seen the looks I received at the Obama victory speech on Super Tuesday.
  9. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 14, 2008 -> 10:52 AM) hahaha Several months ago I thought about buying some Obama gear. Maybe a hat or something. Then I though, this is still wide open. If he looses, I look like a real ass wearing this. It's like buying the championship shirt of the team that LOST the super bowl. I'm still wearing my Obama thong.
  10. QUOTE (lostfan @ May 14, 2008 -> 09:41 AM) Didn't she win by a pretty big margin in OK? She received 55% of the vote. Obama had 31%.
  11. Attention Hillary supporters! Get a free Hillary tattoo!!
  12. For those that found Clinton's win impressive yesterday:
  13. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 14, 2008 -> 09:23 AM) When it comes to "who can beat McCain" I am not. That doesn't make sense to me. So which polls are you ignoring until July?
  14. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 14, 2008 -> 10:16 AM) New Poll Deflates Clintons "White Vote" Argument I thought you weren't worrying about polls regarding November match ups until July?
  15. Looking forward to next Tuesday, Obama with a 55% to 35% among likely Democratic voters in Oregon according to the Portland Tribune Poll.
  16. Obama already with 2 superdelegate endorsements this morning (One worth only half a vote since it's from a Democrat from abroad). I wonder if he'll surpass Clinton's pledged delegate victory from last night (estimated to be +12) in supers today? EDIT: Just found out that 2 more supers endorsed him last night.
  17. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 14, 2008 -> 07:53 AM) I am not exactly sure what he meant by that. I think he was implying that Clinton's constant use of "whites" is similar to Sharpton throwing "blacks" into the conversation all the time.
  18. Ouch! (from Politico)
  19. QUOTE (mr_genius @ May 13, 2008 -> 06:22 PM) actually from what polls i just saw on tv, Hillary beats McCain by close to 10 in WV. Bill Clinton won WV. I don't think a Dem has won the White House in like 100 years or something without winning WV. Seems kinda important, or at least it has been in past elections, for the Dems. Just as important as Missouri, which Obama won.
  20. Read on Ben Smith's blog (Politico) that a big win by Clinton tonight could net her 10 more delegates than Obama. Whoopty doo.
  21. Interesting to see how different news organizations are covering today's primary. CNN.com's front page is all about today's race, complete with delegate graphics and charts. The main story also includes: While MSNBC.com barely even mentions today's primary. NOTE: This observation was taken at 4:30PM CST
  22. Guess I'll stop watching Conan once this happens.
  23. QUOTE (kapkomet @ May 13, 2008 -> 02:51 PM) In addition, if you look at California, it's in play, which speaks VOLUMES about the volitility of this election. I think it's safe to say that California won't be in play anymore once the MSM starts reporting McCain's views on supreme court replacements.
  24. QUOTE (kapkomet @ May 13, 2008 -> 02:48 PM) That's right. But let's look at the reality of this country and how people think. People don't like change. Barack and Hillary are the biggest change that anyone in this country has ever seen running for president. For all the "CHANGE" talk that BOTH campaigns discuss, it's not the change of IDEAS that people will balk at, it's the CHANGE of the gender/color that people will balk at. Again, PERSONALLY, I think it's deplorable, but it's America, and why it will be difficult for either Hillary or Obama to win THIS election. Next time, not so much. I think you greatly underestimate how awful GWB has been and how closely many of McCain's ideas mirror his.
  25. QUOTE (kapkomet @ May 13, 2008 -> 02:42 PM) And that, my friends, is why Obama will not win in November. This coming from the person that guaranteed several times that Clinton would be the nominee.
