QUOTE (Felix @ May 10, 2008 -> 10:46 AM) The real question is how could you have expect anything else? That movie looked terrible, despite having Tina Fey. I never even saw the preview. We intended to go see Sarah Marshall for $5 but they had some bank handing out free vouchers to any movie in front of the theater. My girlfriend said Baby Mama was supposed to be very funny and I heard mixed things about Sarah Marshall so figured what the heck. I typically like Fey and Poehler.
  2. QUOTE (Texsox @ May 10, 2008 -> 08:12 AM) Because there are actual people in Michigan, hundreds of thousands who took the time to go vote. Good honest Americans who decided on that day to be part of democracy in America, regardless of what a handful of party officials did. In this country we have a deep respect for each person's vote, and will leap over any hurdles to make each and every vote counts in some way. It truly is one way we are so different than most other countries, we'll move heaven and earth for even one voter. Some states have all or nothing primaries, so that option is not without precedence. Assuming a vote for "A" is really for "B" is tenuous at best. It is a long shot strategy, but W. Clinton was a long shot and won. But the results in Michigan are not a true representation of how the people would have voted. How many people stayed home knowing or at least thinking their vote would not count? Allocating delegates based on their results just doesn't jive for me.

    Baby Mama was disappointingly mediocre.
  4. QUOTE (shipps @ May 9, 2008 -> 02:43 PM) The word of mouth on them has been going around for like a year now.I know crappy groups that have been out for a far less period of time and are better marketed than they are. There is no excuse for them to not be banking on that. Agreed but they do play a lot of shows. I'll give them credit for that. They even played that Obama gig at the Aragon earlier this year.
  5. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 9, 2008 -> 02:43 PM) So, everyone is talking about 5/20 as the next big date (OR, KY), but West Virginia has a primary in the meantime, this coming Tuesday. Its only 21 delegates, but its still worth noting. Of recent polls, the only one taken since the NC/IN results was done by notoriously inaccurate ARG. The most recent before that, by Rasmussen (5/4, 840 LV) shows Clinton with a 29 point lead. That may drop a bit after the recent results, and when Obama actually arrives and campaigns in the state this weekend. I'd guess a 20 to 25 point Clinton win in WV on Tuesday. This would be comparable to a team scoring a safety in the final 2 minutes of a football game and still being down 3 scores.
  6. QUOTE (shipps @ May 9, 2008 -> 08:34 AM) Its funny because I hear so many people saying how much they like them (including myself) and its hard to find their stuff. They have a bad manager or no manager. They're a local indie hip-hop group just breaking in.
  7. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 9, 2008 -> 01:44 PM) Obama picks up 2 more superdelegates. 7 in total today. I think the wave is starting. MSNBC.com has Obama +9 today.
  8. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 9, 2008 -> 02:19 PM) That leaves pretty much nothing that Clinton leads in, except snide remarks and talking to crowds of adults like they are 12-year-olds. And remaining the Queen of people with no money or education. Sorry but I'm tired of feeling like I'm not a true American because I make a decent wage and have a good education.
  9. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 9, 2008 -> 02:44 PM) Obama picks up 2 more superdelegates. 7 in total today. At this pace all news sources will have him surpassing Clinton in superdelegates by the end of the day. Not just ABC.

    LOST!!!!

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ May 9, 2008 -> 12:41 PM) There are an awful lot of biblical references in this show. Somehow I think Hurley isn't one of them.
  11. The most recent superdelegate endorsement from Vernon Watkins (CA) sums it all up nicely:

QUOTE (Brian @ May 9, 2008 -> 11:46 AM) 325 was what Ben gave Michael and Walt to find rescue, correct? Do you think the freighter is what rescued them? I'm curious if we have seen the last of Walt. 305 could be from a different spot. I'm not familiar with how all that works. The last thing that Abaddon said to Locke was that he would owe him in the future, or something to that effect. After tonight's episode and the previews for next week, I'm pulling a Mariotti and flip flopping. I think Jin will be killed by Reamey. That guy is relentless. Who's Abaddon?
  14. QUOTE (lostfan @ May 9, 2008 -> 08:54 AM) Every media source keeps their track of superdelegates differently because it's not like there is an official list or scoreboard with everybody's name on it. They just go off what was said in public or what have you so there is margin for error. I've been following mainly CNN's delegate count since the beginning and they have Clinton +7. DCW is pretty solid since they have a link to every single endorsement.

    LOST!!!!

I wish I hadn't read that "Theory on Lost" website yesterday. Kinda ruined the mystery of the show. I felt less enthused as I watched last night.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ May 9, 2008 -> 08:28 AM) Pictures of the actors in their GI Joe outfits Sorry but that movie looks terrible.
  17. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ May 9, 2008 -> 08:50 AM) yeah, it sucks. Of course I have a ridiculous amount of driving to do today. Villa Park to Crystal Lake to Wrigley to Woodstock to Villa Park.... awesome. I suggest investing in a hovercraft or helicopter.
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 8, 2008 -> 05:12 PM) It's been 3.93 or so for the last week here at the cheap stations. 3.99 at others. 3.99 at the BP a couple blocks from my house.

    Bikes

Bought this hybrid in 2005 and it's treated me quite well. Great for the city. Aluminum frame.
  20. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ May 9, 2008 -> 08:33 AM) maybe i was hearing/seeing things this morning because I was in a rush, but I swear ABC had a story at the top of the hour, actually more than a story they had the "breaking news" label on it, that Obama took over the superdelgate lead. Was I just half hearing the story that he's narrowing in? I haven't seen anything on the net about it It's on the front page of Huffington. DCW, CNN, AP, and NBC still have her barely leading. (Check out the 2nd chart on the left side of DCW)

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ May 9, 2008 -> 12:21 AM) Sort of on that same topic, what was the book Richard showed Locke as a young boy? It definitely wasn't "Photoshop For Dummies".
  23. Per DCW, Clinton's superdelegate lead now in single digits.
  24. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ May 8, 2008 -> 11:21 AM) Clinton did get 55% of the vote And Obama wasn't on the ticket. I don't see the fairness that she should get an advantage.
  25. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 8, 2008 -> 10:18 AM) Any "deal" that seats delegates at anything other than 50-50 from Michigan is a slap to the face of Democratic voters in the other 49 states. What a joke. Clinton was the only one on the f***ing ballot.
