QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 7, 2008 -> 04:33 PM) Another one of those is due to a flip today. I know there have been a handful of Clinton supers that flipped over the course of this campaign. Has there been even 1 that flipped to her? BTW - I wonder what Carville will call McClellan.

QUOTE (kapkomet @ May 7, 2008 -> 12:20 PM) No. The demographics - even if Hilldog oficially quit today, she'd still win. I'm not kidding. Heh. You might be right.

All Things Pro-Obama
Anyone else think Clinton's margin of victory take a huge hit in West Virginia and Kentucky now that the MSM is basically calling her toast?

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 7, 2008 -> 08:39 AM) You are right it is a big difference. The chance for an inuagural visit is WAY more important than seeing someone speak locally. If you have the means, I don't see why you would pass it up for partisian reasons. If I had the chance to go to a Hillary or Barack inuaguration, I wouldn't pass it up, that is for sure. To me it isn't "supporting" them. It is being a part of a historical event. I'd rather spend the $1.5K to $2K on something else to be honest. I'd be rolling my eyes as he stood there and spouted off all the policies he'd like to instill that I completely disagree with. I'd go hear him speak locally since it wouldn't cost me anything.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 7, 2008 -> 08:24 AM) That's kinda sad actually. No matter who it is, it is still the President of the United States of America. You don't pass up that kind of a chance just because you don't like the person elected. I couldn't stand Bill Clinton and almost everything he stood for, but I still took the chance to go see him speak in person. Its something that should be bigger than politics if you ask me. It's my personal choice. I have zero interest in John McCain. I am not going to spend hundreds of dollars and take time off work to support a pro-war, pro-choice, Bush surrogate. I can go visit D.C. some other time. EDIT: It's a big difference going to see a politician speak at the local university and flying your family to D.C. for 5 days to see a politician speak.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 7, 2008 -> 08:14 AM) So here is a question for you. If McCain should beat Obama in November, will you still go to the inauguration? Nope. I'll probably change my tickets for a Miami trip.

For Dems only.
McCain had some issues last night.

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 7, 2008 -> 08:05 AM) I think with Obama with such a massive lead, a deal will be struck now. MY proposal is count FLorida, but cout the delegates in half. In MI, Give Clinton a 55-45 split, but also cut them in half. I still don't understand the logic in giving Clinton an advantage in MI when Obama wasn't on the ballot. Why should she get more than 50%?

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 7, 2008 -> 07:34 AM) No wonder she had to ask for donations during her "victory" speech. BTW, when you loan your campaign approximately $10M how can you call your opponent the elitist?

Indiana / North Carolina primary election thread
QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ May 7, 2008 -> 07:57 AM) that's what I see too, with a major spin on Indiana being close to Obama's home base and how she won it. Also, she probably will start severly pressing the Michigan and Florida issue, in any pipe dream scenario she has they have to play into it FL and MI are almost, if not already, irrelevant.

All Things Pro-Obama
Glad I booked a hotel in D.C. for the inauguration before the prices skyrocketed.
