QUOTE(iamshack @ Feb 28, 2008 -> 02:45 PM) I just don't see how that will help Obama in the General Election. Why not someone like Edwards, that may appeal to some of the southern states or red states more? Edwards didn't even help get a win in his home state in 2004.

By "considerably more" I have a feeling it's more than 3 or 4 million.

QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 28, 2008 -> 01:25 PM) http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/020...n_February.html Clinton raises $35 million in February More doughnuts for everyone!!! Is that after repaying the loan?

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 28, 2008 -> 11:26 AM) How is that? Its a primary, not a caucus, so the only complicating factor I can see is the regionality (delegates assigned on regions of the state). It's a primary and a caucus.

As each day passes the polls keep looking better for Obama. Rassmussen has him with the lead in Texas now. 48-44%

QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 27, 2008 -> 08:22 PM) So, i have a REAL hard time believing it would take "some time". All she needs to do is call her tax people and it would take under 24-48 hours. She's been busy watching SNL to do her taxes. Cut her some slack. The writers are back!

QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 28, 2008 -> 09:03 AM) Hillary the Hypocrate... http://www.vertical-politics.com/2008/02/c...on-backtra.html According to Hillary, Barack must renounce a "supporter" who has racist views against Jews. However, when one of HER supports makes a racist comment against blacks... "You know This is a free country. People get to express their opinions. A lot of folks have said really unpleasant things about me over the course of this campaign. You can’ take any of that as anything other than an individual opinion." I guess the post I made earlier (2 posts above) wasn't detailed enough?

QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Feb 28, 2008 -> 09:10 AM) She doesn't see the comparison? I'd say it was an identical situation. One of her unsolicited (I'll give her the benefit of the doubt) supporters made a racist comment. One of Obama's unsolicited supporters made racist comments. Is it that hard of a comparison to draw? Her supporter is a highly regarded Hispanic in Texas. Denouncing/rejecting this woman might lose Clinton some votes.
-
When will Clinton reject and denounce the racist comments of a prominent hispanic supporter in Texas? I'd guess never.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 27, 2008 -> 03:48 PM) The fun part was that after Obama denounced him the first time, Russert decided to press on it harder, so that he could find an excuse to start bringing in some of the quotes to try to smear Obama indirectly. So Obama denounced him again. And again. And again. Perhaps Hillary and Russert were expecting Obama to finally reply "If I ever see Farrakhan in my path I will kill him with my bare hands".

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Feb 27, 2008 -> 03:44 PM) For me, the racist overtones and such is bulls***. His "affiliation" with Louis Farrakan... now that's something I take more issue with, because of what Louis Farrakan stands for. If Obama stands for the same things (by association) then I have MAJOR issues with the man. What affiliation are you referring to?

The Tennessee GOP showing a lot of class. In case they haven't noticed, attacks and smears are not working very well with the voting public this campaign season.

Its amazing how Clinton says the media is against her but isn't the media still pretending like she still has a possible chance at the nomination? Any other candidate in her shoes would have completely been written off by the media after 11 straight blowout losses. She can't have it both ways.

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 27, 2008 -> 10:52 AM) If Clinton doesn't pull a pretty big win on 3/4.... At this point that looks impossible.

Race also tightening in Pennsylvania.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Feb 26, 2008 -> 05:22 PM) Check out Macy's once in awile though, they will have good designer ones on sale. They had a ridiculous clearance sale last year. I bought 2 designer suits there for under $500 total.

A little comic relief regarding the Democratic race.

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 26, 2008 -> 08:11 PM) Its actually wired in this case, and its not even doing the hitching thing - just saying "loading video, please wait". Crap. How does this TV not have MSNBC? Try www.cleveland.com

A possible Richardson endorsement by Friday?

Tonight's debate should be interesting. Could be Clinton's last chance to do something to somehow change the momentum. Judging by the movement of polls in March 4th states Obama will probably just play it safe.

QUOTE(Reddy @ Feb 26, 2008 -> 09:38 AM) well guys, as much as i hate to say it (and i do) i think i'm officially on the Obama bandwagon - but for no other reason than that he can beat McCain, and that's really the most important thing at this point. so... yeah... doesn't mean i still won't argue about him though. gotta keep some shred of fight in me. Welcome aboard. I agree he's not perfect but which candidate is?
