  1. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Feb 5, 2008 -> 01:28 PM) This has to be my favorite political commercial of all time. I thought it was quite funny when I first saw it air.
  2. You can watch MSNBC live by clicking the link on their homepage that says "Watch MSNBC TV's live coverage of Super Tuesday" along the top of the page.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 4, 2008 -> 08:47 PM) The fact that they had to cut the third season almost in half still pisses me off. A show as good as AD deserves a proper send off, (after say the 12th season or so) hopefully they can get this thing into production and end the story on their terms. Amen
  4. Anyone else going to Obama's Illinois victory rally tonight?
  5. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 5, 2008 -> 09:09 AM) Its American Samoa PLUS other dems abroad - which is 10 pledged according to Wiki, and 11 pledged according to the source I cited. Plus the supers from the pacific rim to make it 22 or 23. I'll take it. Every single delegate is crucial.
  6. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Feb 5, 2008 -> 07:33 AM) I would say the polls in California showing Obama opening up a lead are about worth as much as, say, certain polls in New Hampshire. I don't need to say any more then that. Obama's going to get a Hillarity reality check today. I'm starting to think your real name is Mark Penn.
  7. Guess we'll find out if this is true later tonight.... LINK
  8. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 4, 2008 -> 08:01 PM) Which means...if she doesn't post at least a solid win tomorrow, she's in real trouble, because not only do the demographics favor Obama more later in this month/season...the money will favor him strongly as well. Indeed. I've read many of her supporters have maxed out.
  9. Clinton raises $13.5M this past month compared to Obama's $32M.
  10. I'm confused. If you look at the February calendar on this cnn page it shows a Washington caucus on Feb 9th and a Washington primary on Feb 19th. At first I thought maybe one of them was D.C. but that takes place on Feb 12th. http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/
  11. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 4, 2008 -> 02:29 PM) Another interesting thought for the day... With Obama and Clinton seemingly locked into a 50-50 battle with no end in sight, could the big cash advantage that both of them have over McCain be nullified by a protracted and expensive battle for the Democratic nomination? McCain has the potential with a big super Tuesday to all but bury Mitt Romney. He might not be able to clinch, but he could put a big enough lead up to make it futile for Mitt to keep up the expensive fight. If McCain can obtain early victory he can seemingly sit on the sidelines waiting for the bloodied and well spent Democratic opponent to emerge. That is quite plausible IMO.
  12. QUOTE(Misplaced_Sox @ Feb 4, 2008 -> 12:05 PM) Even if you re-read the link he provided the man you posted the trash from his blog is apologizing. I think people should responsible for the mis- information he spreads. The guy who made that comment does not work for Hillary at all but a group for United Health Care, so because Hillary and John Edwards were working for UHC that means he worked with both, but he is not one of their campaign. It is Obama suporters quick to jump in the lap of a politician they dont know, Obama, and believe the media's misrepresentation of another, Clinton. I grew up on the South Side, I know Obama. A big talker with no results. Those Robert Taylor Homes plans, to make those on welfare and government housing feel "they finally can be fit with regular society" never materialized from him. Instead they get shipped from Chicago to Tinley, Downstate into other projects. I cannot remember one time where he can to my doorstep with big ideas, getting everyone excited and actually did anything about it. Radiation in your drinking water, I will fight for you. Special interests come into equation, Obama backs down and now Exelon is off the hook, because he took the teeth out of his own agenda. Some leader, paper champion.
  13. Sox fan? CHECK Inspiring? CHECK Unifying? CHECK Liked by Robert DeNiro? CHECK Not a Clinton? CHECK

    Food Thread

My favorite fast food chain is Chipotle.
  16. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 4, 2008 -> 10:05 AM) Hillary does "it" again - in Connecticut. Me thinks she is getting desperate. How pathetic. I'm sure the anti-Obama robocalls will start up today as well. Perhaps some emails to smear him as well.
  17. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Feb 3, 2008 -> 09:44 PM) Seriously, that lady could use a big sammich or two. Heh. I was thinking the same thing. Maybe Arnold hogs all the food at the dinner table.
  18. Maria Shriver showed up unexpectedly at the Michelle/Oprah/Caroline event and endorsed Obama. Crowd went insane.
  19. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 3, 2008 -> 07:22 AM) Obama's on the move!!! Obama has a slight lead in California and is virtually tied with Clinton in New Jersey and Missouri The more exposure he gets the better he does. He's the anti-9iu11ani.
  20. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 2, 2008 -> 10:36 AM) YES WE CAN! Wow! Absolutely awesome.
  21. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 1, 2008 -> 04:12 PM) Also in California, Oprah will be campaigning with Michelle Obama. You can add Caroline Kennedy to that one. What a powerhouse of females.
  22. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 1, 2008 -> 04:06 PM) Wow. That's pretty big. Hey, what happened to those rumors about Barack being in New Mexico today with Richardson, and maybe an endorsement? That didn't happen, did it? Richardson was in DC today. Also, CNN.com has a piece in "The Ticker" saying Bill Clinton and Richardson to watch the super bowl together. That's a lot of wings and pizza!
  23. The debate was a draw IMO First half Hillary Second half Obama
