From the Trib: While manager Ozzie Guillen won't make a final decision until Monday, he's leaning toward starting White Sox right fielder Jermaine Dye in place of Manny Ramirez in Tuesday's All-Star Game. Ramirez, Boston's elected starter, is skipping the game with a sore right knee, which didn't prevent him from playing 19 innings Sunday. I hope Dye gets the start but what a tool Manny is. Plays 19 innings but is apparently injured.

Ozzie's decision to choose Mark over guys like Liriano is looking worse and worse. Liriano manhandling a good Texas offense on the road. Through 5 innings he has given up 2 hits, 0 ERs and struck out 7 while lowering his ERA to 1.88. EDIT: I'm not one to believe in jinxs but hopefully my post just did that to Liriano. He just walked 2 guys to start the 6th.

The Sox have been an average to below average team in the 2nd half of the season for the past 5 years.

I can think of at least 5 pitchers more deserving of an all star bid over Mark and his 9-6 record and 4.02 ERA. It'll be fun listening to the announcers question his all star credentials during the game.
