The Twins would not be panicked if they were 4 games out

I'm on board. -
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 20, 2010 -> 02:27 PM) As soon as I win the Powerball Lottery I am buying the Sox and then I will make the decisions. You all just wait!
-
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 20, 2010 -> 02:23 PM) Not only that, but, it appears you cannot remove Places from Facebook at all. Your only options for who sees your "Places" are Friends, Friends of Friends and Everyone. How about "no one"? How about, don't let that application even go near me? You can change the setting to "only me" which I just did.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Aug 20, 2010 -> 01:32 PM) ...but then I'm wondering what his prediction is for the final 8 or 9 games. To poop on people perhaps?
-
QUOTE (T R U @ Aug 20, 2010 -> 01:29 PM) yeah thats because it was awesome Actually it's because the critics giving it poor reviews are being killed off by those same piranhas.
-
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 05:58 PM) Cubs keeping it "fun-bad" Oh come on now. It's like making fun of a retarded person at this point.
-
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 20, 2010 -> 12:31 PM) I just want him to do it over the course of the entire season, not take off the first month or so like this year. Yeah we have enough April no-shows as it is on this roster.
-
And for whatever reason don't we typically play the Yanks and Red Sox pretty well for the most part?
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 20, 2010 -> 11:44 AM) That was just CGI. That's some dang good CGI. Even fooled the Twins announcers who were scratching their heads.
-
QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Aug 20, 2010 -> 06:54 AM) Yeah there's only video footage on The Club of Coop in a room with the pitchers going over batter tendencies. That must have been CGI. So you’re saying they look at things like Kotsay’s 0 hits against LHP and terrible numbers with RISP and decide to just let him bat anyway with the bases loaded against a lefty….in a critical game? Weird.

PTC Saturday August 21st, 2010 - Game 2

Rios -
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 20, 2010 -> 11:24 AM) Its possible they asked about him, and the price was too high. But since he cleared waivers, that seems unlikely. I'm not sure what the reason would be to NOT go get him, since he'd be such a massive upgrade over Kotsay. According to someone with inside info in last night's game thread, there has been no interest on our side for him.

Have a good one fellas!

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Aug 20, 2010 -> 09:31 AM) Wow Rios def not having a great second half, what can I say, nothing will surprise me anymore when it comes to this org infatuation with Mark freaking Kotsay It's such a logical and obvious upgrade.
-
Just in case this gets buried in the waiver wire thread I want everyone to see this. 2nd half: Laroche: 8 HR 22 RBI .317/.360/.579/.940 Rios: 2 HR 19 RBI .264/.290/.349/.639 Why are we not trying to get this guy to replace Kotsay as the lefty DH and backup to Paulie???? Someone in the game thread last night with inside information stated we had no interest in this guy and I am floored as to why.
-
QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Aug 20, 2010 -> 09:23 AM) Has he cleared waivers? Yes and check out my edited post above. Need more proof?
-
Still don't know why there is no interest in Laroche. He's having a great 2nd half like he always does. He'd be a perfect left-handed DH to rotate with Carlos and Jones and can spell Paulie at 1st. What am I missing here? Just compare him to what Rios has done in the 2nd half. Laroche: 8 HR 22 RBI .317/.360/.579/.940 Rios: 2 HR 19 RBI .264/.290/.349/.639 It's pretty obvious he could give us a boost and we could finally remove Kotsay from this roster.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 20, 2010 -> 08:04 AM) Prove me wrong, Edwin. Oh he will. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 20, 2010 -> 08:42 AM) 15 I'll go with the over. -
The guy wants to end his career here. Can't fault him for that.
-
Hasn't it been well known that AJ has been a great clubhouse guy for us for the last 5 years?
-
QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 11:26 PM) Amen to the first post! Didn't Kotsay go 3-for-5 with two ribbies and two runs scored just a couple days ago? How come I was pretty much told to quit beating a dead horse and mentioning Jenks a couple weeks ago, yet this Kotsay stuff goes on and on and on. People told me they very well know my position on Jenks. Well we know your position on Kotsay. Kotsay sucks. He is pure horses***. He should not be on the roster. Pretty much everyone on Soxtalk including me does not want him on the team. Do you ever tire of writing this? I stopped on Jenks to give people a f***ing break but this Kotsay stuff is a f***ing broken record and won't stop. He stinks. We know already!!!! He also isn't going anywhere the rest of this season unless he gets hurt. He won't be on the team next year. Fast forward to then if you would. I will continue to talk about it because it needs to be addressed. There is no reason for him to get any more playing time save for a once every 2 week break for Paulie at 1B and that's it. He is not a major league baseball player. No team would be giving him this many starts. Teahen is leaps and bounds better than him at the plate so I will continue to complain when Kotsay gets more starts than Teahen. Maybe you need to take the Kotsay and Wise Fatheads off of your wall and start rooting for actual major league players.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 09:54 PM) Billy Butler. And Alex Gordon has been swinging a pretty hot stick. Besides that? Yeah, it's bad. Anything but a sweep would be a major failure. -
I know I keep piling on but 21 hits and Kotsay with an 0-fer. Keep starting him Ozzie. *shakes head*

QUOTE (BearingPro @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 09:49 PM) The WS don't fare well against bad teams (see Orioles and Cleveland)....this KC series is pivotal! No DeJesus, Guillen or Pods. Do they have anyone left that can hit?
