Why wouldn't every single runner try stealing off Freddy? The odds they'll not get caught have to be 95%+

Teahen was something special last night
QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 05:09 PM) I didn't know that Teahen could lift multiple thousands of pounds! Wow! He literally carried the entire team on his back! Why do you think he needed last night off? He's exhausted.

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 15, 2010 -> 03:23 PM) He was 5 for 13 with 4 walks and a HR in pinch hitting situations last year. He also had a pinch hit game tying RBI single in the bottom of the 8th in game 4 of the NLDS. I will note that in my journal.

2010 AL Central Catch-All
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 15, 2010 -> 02:55 PM) No team with Scott Baker and Jon Rauch as their #1 starter and closer is going to run and hide from anyone. They're making it look effortless with said starter and closer.

With the issues Ed Norton had filming the Hulk I think Carlos would be a suitable replacement for any sequels or The Avengers film.

Yay. Jones with the start instead of Kotsay. I want to see this more often than not.

It's going to be a struggle to beat out the Twins this year. Just a solid all around club.

2010 MLB Catch-All Thread
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 15, 2010 -> 12:45 PM) I still find it hilarious that he was kicked out of New York for, well, sucking. Went to the NL did fine. Had an ok season with the Sox but was literally run out of town. Then is great in Atlanta, and New York thinks "Oh hey, let's try that again" and folks actually thought it would work. Vazquez is s*** when it matters. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Apr 15, 2010 -> 01:07 PM) He's had 2 starts. Don't tell that to Steve. We aren't allowed to overreact to the Sox having a terrible first 8 games but he can make an assessment on a pitcher after 2 starts.

Simple Not Ideal Lineup Fix
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 15, 2010 -> 09:19 AM) So far I haven't seen Pierre's speed really affect or change any games. For real. That one game where we needed to bunt him to 2nd come to mind. I thought we acquired him to make it to 2nd without a bunt.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!
QUOTE (hogan873 @ Apr 15, 2010 -> 06:21 AM) What's encouraging is that the Sox scored 11 runs with a vomit-inducing lineup. Obviously Jones needs to play just about every day now, but Mark Kotsay should settle back on the bench, cross his legs, and cram a fistfull of sunflower seeds in his mouth. And Omar Vizquel should be a late inning defensive replacement...although I did like the Podsednik-esque "throw the bat at the ball" move. Fully agree on Jones, Kotsay and Vizquel. It's so obvious to everyone but Ozzie. Hope he "gets it" sooner rather than later.

I'd love a happy middle ground instead of barely no offense one night and something like this the next.
