QUOTE (SteveB23 @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 09:10 AM) IMO, most of what Ozzie says/does is to take the pressure/focus off of his players. This is a good thing. There are smarter ways of doing that.

4/14 Gamethread: White Sox (3-5) vs Blue Jays (6-2) 6:07 PM

QUOTE (beckham15 @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 09:10 AM) the sox were just flat out overmatched yesterday....lets get things back on track! The offense has been overmatched 5 out of 8 games now. Time to turn that ratio around. -
QUOTE (SteveB23 @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 08:54 AM) Yeah, who cares what Ozzie says to the media? It doesn't matter. What matters is how the team performs, not what Ozzie says about a youtube video. Then ignore this thread and go sit in your baseball cave. Lots of people care what he says.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 08:46 AM) I like those ideas Matt, but I'd also like to be able to integrate my phone navigation directly into my car as opposed to needing two separate navigation (I don't actually have nav in my car, but I don't see the need for having two). In addition, I should be able to listen to the radio via my cell phone, opt for satellite radio if I wanted, and be able to stream baseball and football games on my phone if I so choose. Sounds like the EVO covers the highlighted. http://www.devicemag.com/2010/03/24/sprint...ate-full-specs/

QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 08:37 AM) Sqwert of all people didnt get it. WTF? Honestly I only read the thread title until now.

This is what happens when you have a league full of people with very little education. You get players, managers, etc who act like 16 year olds in their adulthood.

Are you a member of the White Sox offense?

We are 0-5 when scoring 3 runs or less. I thought Ozzie ball was designed to win low scoring games based on pitching and defense.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 12:25 AM) Basically all that, with improved speakers and a webcam. Netflix on my iPhone would be awesome. Demo of netflix streaming on a windows 7 phone. Gotta say it's quite impressive. http://www.windowsphone7series.com/multimedia/Media13/

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 08:09 PM) I'm sure glad Omar Vizquel is leading off and getting his ABs. For all the people that booed Wise last year for leading off on Opening Day not even a peep about Vizquel doing it today. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 08:05 PM) I think it's great that Toronto is giving Rios a standing ovation for that homer. -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 07:58 PM) And it's certainly not going to make KW jump up and say, "AHA! I've seen the light! We need to upgrade the offense now." Maybe the 12K fans per game the rest of April will though. -

I know it seems like a lot of people are whining but 2 good offensive games out of 8 is not cutting it. That wouldn't be competitive in the NL. -

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 07:30 PM) Game threads these days are a delight. You expecting people to be popping champagne with a 3-5 start? -
QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 04:51 PM) Being able to drive is one of the nicer things IMO. I like being able to tailgate outside the park. This conversation deserves it's own thread but they tried making a small town suburban layout for a ballpark in Chicago. It's no wonder it's not a destination place for out of towners. If they did it right they could be in the same conversation as Wrigley, Camden, Fenway, etc. The potential revenue lost from doing it the way they did is mindboggling, regardless of how many beer tents they throw in the parking lot on weekend nights in the summer.

QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 04:42 PM) I wish they had integrated Comiskey into bridgeport the same way, and hadn't encouraged so many people to drive there. For real. Talk about bumbling a potential goldmine of an opportunity.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 03:57 PM) That was just from you sweating. Well I did work up a sweat from chewing on those granules of limestone or whatever that crap was made of.

I always hated Captain Crunch as a kid. It seemed like it had some weird residue on it. Possibly petroleum.

It's too bad we're handcuffed with Linebrink's contract. Sure would have been nice to be in the running for Valverde.
