    LOST!!!!

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 2, 2010 -> 07:40 PM) Weren't you the one who was asking who Jacob was like a week ago? Yes but that's stuff you can look up online and catch up on in 5-10 minutes. Why waste a full hour on it. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 2, 2010 -> 08:22 PM) I like this so far. On island stuff interwoven with a "What If" timeline. I don't think it's a "What If" scenario. I believe it's a parallel universe where they live simultaneously in both time lines.

    LOST!!!!

What's the point of this remedial 1 hour episode? It's so ridiculously basic I'm not sure who it's intended for. They expecting people to start watching for the 1st time tonight?
  3. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 2, 2010 -> 04:26 PM) Politics aside, its never true that they aren't lending to ANYONE. Its just harder. It wouldn't hurt you to look into it, before being sure its not possible. I know it's possible to get a loan but I don't think it's the right time in my life to take that plunge.
  4. I guess you can ignore the fact that this particular circumstance kills the mother in many cases too.
  5. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Feb 2, 2010 -> 02:39 PM) You should open a vegan bakery. I'd like to open a business but I don't have enough capital and banks aren't lending to anyone.
  6. QUOTE (vandy125 @ Feb 2, 2010 -> 02:29 PM) Um, the whole not wanting to pay off your loans, or thinking that someone else needs to do it? When I get a loan, I make darn sure that I know what I am getting into. If things don't go the way that I plan, I work with the loan company to see what I can do. Not once did I go looking to pawn it off on someone else. This included a few times where I could not find a job. I was able to call up the loan company and they worked with me on it. I still have a lot of loans from college. Sure it would be sweet if I suddenly didn't have to pay them off, but I would never try pushing for anything like that. They are my loans and my responsibility. Perhaps you haven't noticed but there are tens of thousands of students, if not more, that graduated in the last 2 years with absolutely no hope to land a decent paying job any time soon.
  7. This is from the bake sale organizer. I might have to quit my day job.

Agreed. I don't recall an abundance of violence.
  11. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Feb 2, 2010 -> 11:49 AM) I'm interested to see how exactly this article is changed and what is wrong. Obama pledges to do certain things, that doesn't mean it's been done yet. As of right now the 4k lifetime education credit or whatever its called WILL end. Just because he's proposed to double that doesn't mean it's going to happen. She admits that pending legislation, these cuts will end. How is that incorrect? So you're blaming him that the 4K credit is expiring? How is that his fault?

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 2, 2010 -> 11:37 AM) I really really liked "Up In The Air", but "The Hurt Locker" is a masterpiece IMO. I don't know about masterpiece but there was very little I could find to criticize.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 2, 2010 -> 11:35 AM) I haven't seen Hurt Locker, but of the ones I've seen on that list, Up in the Air was the best. What are you waiting for? Good stuff.
  14. I see you received your daily edition of Fox news talking points.

retweet from Ebert: Tradition has it that Best Pic Oscar winner needs noms for director, screenplay, acting, editing. Only "Hurt Locker" has all those.
