QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 6, 2009 -> 01:52 PM) Dotel was not fine. Dotel is way overpaid. Some nights he had it, many he didn't and completely sucked. He's not reliable and I hope he is shipped out. Why are you trashing a player that tried his best? Maybe he just had an off year. He can turn it around next season.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 6, 2009 -> 09:26 AM) The vikings have had 1 test, 2 bad teams, and one meh team so far. They beat the teams they should have, and it took a last second TD to win the test, im not willing to say they are the best team in the NFL yet. All of the 4-0 teams have had some weak opponents to date. Can't blame it entirely on schedules.

- Nancy Faust to retire after 2010
I realize Nancy didn't produce as well as other league organists but she helped us win it in 2005. Lets stop bashing her since maybe she was just having an off year. How come there aren't other threads bashing other organists? I appreciate what she has done and think she will have a good comeback year in 2010.- Official 2009-2010 NFL Thread
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 6, 2009 -> 09:02 AM) Jared Allen had 4.5 sacks, a safety, forced fumble, and fumble recovery. It doesnt get much better than that, mullet or not. Patrick Willis says hello. We're having breakfast together.- It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 5 THREAD

QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 11:23 AM) Ari and Matt Damon saved the Entourage finale. They better get back to what brought them to the dance next year. The Matt Damon stuff after the credits was awesome. Curb continues to rock. Dang. What did I miss?- Rotten Tomatoes: Worst of the Worst

QUOTE (elgonzo4sox @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 03:48 PM) One correction: Sox finished at 79-83, which is 4 less wins than the Cubs' 83. AL Central teams were 43-38 versus NL Central, for a .531 win percentage. AL Central teams were 47-43 versus the entire NL, for a .522 win percentage. AL Central teams were 334-386 versus AL teams, for a .464 win percentage. If you play in the NL Central, you not only play the NL Central teams a lot, but also the other NL teams. Sox were a slightly above-average AL Central team this year (.488 win percentage versus the AL Central average win percentage of .470). That's .018 points. So, on average, they would win .531 + .018 = .549 versus the NL Central, and .522 + .018 = .540 versus the NL (unfortunately, the sample size of AL Central teams playing NL teams other than the NL Central is so small this year). Teams play about half their games in their division, so the Sox theoretical win percentage would be in between the .549 and .540. Call it .545. That's 88 wins, if they were in the NL Central. Of course, the main flaw in this analysis is that if the Sox were in the NL Central, they would have played down to the level of their competition in what truly was the worst division in major league baseball this year. There is less pressure to improve, when you are doing well or even mediocre versus inferior competition. You spent way too much time trying to prove something to me that I ultimately could care less about. - Nancy Faust to retire after 2010
