  1. QUOTE (G&T @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 04:04 PM) That's not true at all. Maybe I'm wrong about the booing but there's so many people that stick up for him and I just don't see why.
  2. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 04:05 PM) Sqwert, I'm glad you edited that post, it was just a jumble of words. My head hurt trying to re-read it.
  3. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 04:03 PM) by who? Fans. The guy was a complete bust and wasn't even booed.
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 04:01 PM) ... but the way that statement was written, as fact, without anything to back it up, was a joke. Or an illusion. *queues 'The Final Countdown'*
  5. QUOTE (sircaffey @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 03:59 PM) Joe Crede. He actually produced for quite a while.
  6. Swisher might be the most overrated Sox player since I started following the team in '83.
  7. QUOTE (LVSoxFan @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 03:49 PM) The other half remembers his big move last year was... Griffey. You forget we acquired Quentin last year?
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 03:44 PM) Do not count out Brian Anderson yet. KW has traded to open room for him before, and that was before he learned how to hit the occasional major league baseball. I think you must have mistaken him for someone else since he still cannot get an occasional hit.
  9. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 03:32 PM) THAT'S my contribution to this thread... Looks like Super Mario Bros.
  10. QUOTE (jasonxctf @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 03:12 PM) on mlb.com player search... Player Team Position Wilson Betemit CWS 1B Very interesting.
  11. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 02:52 PM) Its amazing how bad Swisher was and how much slack he continues to get. He hit .219. He fanned at an incredible clip. He hit below .200 after the AS break. He couldn't beat out Wise for playing time when Quentin went down. ^^^^
  12. Just because there's seldom an occasion to post this....
  13. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 02:19 PM) Obama will step-down from the Senate on Sunday Whatever. He was never around anyway.
  14. QUOTE (Texsox @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 02:10 PM) Because the poster mentions God, it would seem they are targeting a Christian deity. And because we seem to be debating atheism here, which is an outright rejection of any sort of higher being, I did not think it was too much of a generalization. The poster is the one promoting goodness and rejecting God. So which is goodness for goodness sake? But you're using some strong words here: You make it seem that all atheists wish ill will towards Christians. I'm sure a large portion of them find the topic of heaven as irrelevant and wouldn't proactively "hope" that it didn't exist.

    Go to Paddy's Pub.
  16. QUOTE (Texsox @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 02:00 PM) Let's recap. If you believe in an afterlife, and you promote your beliefs, you are hoping that other sget to heaven also. If you do not believe in an afterlife, and you want to promote your beliefs, you are hoping they don't have a heaven to get into, and they share your nothing else attitude. Which is good for goodness sakes again? Talk about generalizing. Sheesh. I don't think everyone who believes in an afterlife hopes that others get into heaven also. Just look at radical Islamists. Likewise, people who don't necessarily believe in an afterlife wouldn't automatically hope there isn't a heaven.

  19. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 09:57 AM) I think he was referring to atheists going to hell. I could be wrong though. I know. I was being snarky. He made some anti-gay comments not too long ago.
  20. You guys should all try being vegan for 30 days like Oprah. I guarantee you will lose weight. I lost 20 lbs in no time when I became vegan.
  21. QUOTE (BearSox @ Nov 12, 2008 -> 08:12 PM) I don't give a crap, they could go to hell for all I care. Actually, they will go to hell, HA! Do people who hate gays go to hell?
  22. QUOTE (TheBlackSox8 @ Nov 12, 2008 -> 11:06 PM) anybody have Little Big Planet? Just ordered it along with an 80gb PS3.
  23. He's like George Costanza.
  24. 50 things about Barack Obama that you didn't know:
  25. I'm amazed at home much detailed bashing there is of a proposed program that's not even in its infancy stages. There are virtually no details in place for this yet so many in here are acting as if they have the entire blue print of what will be rolled out.
