QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Nov 26, 2008 -> 02:45 PM) Carry out I dont tip on, I dont tip unless there is a person providing service and you are tipping that specific person. If a single person prepared the entire carry out order and the tip was just for them, I would maybe tip. But usually it just seems like youre tipping the restaurant which is the exact opposite purpose of the tip. At most places I worked the host or hostess received the tip.

QUOTE (YASNY @ Nov 26, 2008 -> 01:51 PM) I'll go with the flow on that scenario, either way. I don't want to judge someone because I don't know what their situation is. And yes, maybe they should have stayed home but if the wanted the pleasure of the group of friends and were willing to do so and be frugal, why should they be expected to pick up a more than their share? I should have been a little more precise. It's when everyone needs to put in a $10 and there's that one person that pulls out their calculator that says they only owe $8.25.

I hate going out to eat with a very large group because you'll always get that one ass clown that isn't ok with splitting the check equally. If you only had a salad and no drinks then maybe you should have stayed home.

  5. I get it. I've been reading a lot about this topic but would have preferred a little sprinkling of progressive minds.

I'll have to avoid this thread until after Saturday.
  7. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Nov 24, 2008 -> 04:15 PM) Well apparently he's working on a deal to resign with the Nationals.
  8. QUOTE (lostfan @ Nov 24, 2008 -> 03:33 PM) You say "we" and you're only speaking for the hard left, which is a minority. But a majority of Americans voted for the most liberal Senator in Congress to lead us. So yeah, we.

This Kanye re-mix mixtape is sick.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 24, 2008 -> 03:15 PM) Like I said, I just want to make sure there is an actual couple of voices from the left in there to actually piss off the moderates. And I want to see his pledge fulfilled to completely ween us off foreign oil within 10 years, get us incredibly close to universal health care, and pull out of Iraq.
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 24, 2008 -> 03:11 PM) I don't have a problem with his cabinet being mostly centrists, Richardson, Clinton, Gates, etc. But it would be very nice if they could occasionally be challenged in their thinking from the left rather than just from the right. Things like "What exactly are our goals in Afghanistan" and "Couldn't we be even more aggressive on alternative energy mandates" and "Maybe we should give $7.4 trillion to the banks" or other nearly communist ideas like that. Well that's my problem with this. America didn't resoundingly elect a Democratic executive and legislative branch to make incremental change. We want sweeping change.
  12. The people have spoken. We elected a liberal president. The most liberal person in history if you ask some of the conservatives on this site. And we also elected a majority of liberals in Congress. That's why liberals are annoyed that the president-elect is creating what appears to be a not-so progressive looking cabinet.
  13. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Nov 24, 2008 -> 02:39 PM) A big-ass interstellar space ship spit the Great Pyramid out, everybody knows that.
  14. QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 07:49 PM) Why the hell would we want to do that? My bad. I though the goal was to lose weight and be healthy.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Nov 24, 2008 -> 09:55 AM) Did they really give a standing O? We went to a 1pm show yesterday and the place was only 40% filled. I didn't see a standing O but there was a lot of cheering and clapping.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Nov 24, 2008 -> 09:22 AM) Ha, my brother in law took my 13 year old niece to see it and she was just bubbling over with praise, "it was the best movie ever", "there was a standing ovation before and after the movie" LOL, my BIL didnt seem as impressed as she did. I need to go see an ophthalmologist today after rolling my eyes for 48 cumulative minutes during the movie. It just seemed like a made for tv movie geared towards 13-17 year old girls. Was a bit difficult for me to connect.

Went to see "Twilight" with my daughter yesterday. Painful. Luckily I was able to access my fantasy football scored on my blackberry.
  18. It takes a sick mind to torture and kill animals. A mind like Jeffrey Dahmer.
  19. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Nov 22, 2008 -> 09:32 AM) There is STL style pizza? who knew? Yeah they use ketchup and grated american cheese.
  20. Watched the repeat last night and laughed even harder.
  21. Looks like Richardson will be the Commerce Secretary.
  22. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 21, 2008 -> 03:15 PM) So anyone know why the market decided to go up 6% today? Because of this
  23. If we're getting a load of talented young guys I sure hope some of them can actually contribute in 2009. I'd hate to win a division and then battle for 4th place the following year.
