  1. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Jun 2, 2009 -> 07:28 AM) The RSCC has given Coleman $750k to fight. seems like this battle would have cost a lot more than that. maybe some of his attorney's are working pro bono
  2. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 10:46 PM) Coleman will follow to the Supreme Court. Pawlenty may end up seating Franken, because a 2012 run is harder if not seating Franken makes it harder to win in 2010. If Pawlenty thinks Coleman has not shot in federal circles, there's no point to stick with him for 2012 aspirations. It's a dodge that will be forgotten in two plus years. Coleman needs to give it up. I wonder how much money has been spent on his legal efforts?
  3. QUOTE (BearSox @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 11:00 PM) Or are we possibly thinking about trading Jenks? I'm probably looking to much into this, but whatever. probably?
  4. http://www.usatoday.com/news/military/2009...ed_N.htm?csp=34 another terrorist attack
  5. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 09:41 PM) That's what made the comedy comedy. ^^
  6. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 09:31 PM) The Sox will be in first place at the end of this homestand. f*** yea they will
  7. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 08:56 PM) Bullying and intimidation to get something they want (a favorable outcome for themselves)? Just because there is violence and coercion involved doesn't make it "terrorism." It's a slippery slope, but it really isn't that slippery. If I call your house and say "you will let me have sex with your wife or I'll put you in the hospital" is that terrorism? No, it just makes me a douchebag who should go to jail, but not a domestic terrorist. according to the definition of terrorism that i've been reading, a concentrated group effort using violence and threats to acheive a goal, is terrorism. now if you want to raise the bar to killing people is required for terrorism, thats fine. i'm just saying that his argument is not really off the mark from a certain consensus on what the definition of terrorism is.
  8. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 08:52 PM) Cunningham has one hit in like 20 ABs. Watch him get one here. your pick to click?
  9. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 08:10 PM) Yeah let's please not start talking about ordinary criminal activity and call it terrorism... god I hate that. You don't just arbitrarily drop the "t-word" into something you don't like to make it worse, it's intellectually dishonest and a copout. now i'm not as anti-union as 2k5 and believe they can serve a good purpose, but what he is describing is text book terrorism. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/terrorism
  10. what the f***. that play was messed up
  11. QUOTE (Wanne @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 07:42 PM) Why do Hawk and Stoney sit so far apart?!? haha i noticed that too.
  12. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 07:36 PM) we will hit this pitcher. totally
  13. i hate that U.S cellular commercial with the robot
  14. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 07:27 PM) entered word for word: "a.g. spaulding text guide" received 0 results in a Google search.
  15. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 05:46 PM) It's not just a baseball rule, guys lose their spots all the time in the NFL if they aren't that good and the guy that replaces them is clearly better. Biggest example, probably Tom Brady over Drew Bledsoe (and at that point Bledsoe was still pretty damn good). yea that always comes to mind when i hear that saying
  16. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 05:23 PM) It is a dumb rule. And I don't know how old of an idea it is either. Just ask Wally Pipp. haha good point
  17. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 03:24 PM) Like Ozzie said; a player should not lose his job due to injury and regardless of what Brian did while Wise was out Dewayne deserves to have the starting job handed back to him. It's Wise's job to lose. Sure Brian hit .282 with a .365 OBP in a starting role and his hitting .323/.382/.484/.866 over his last 10 with four multi-hit games, not giving Wise the majority of the ABs would be unfair. the old baseball idea of "can't lose your job to injury" is very stupid. if Ozzie just puts Wise back into the starting lineup day in and day out i'll be surprised and pissed.
