  2. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Feb 20, 2006 -> 10:10 PM) More importantly, science degrees from Tennessee will come with and asterisk.
  3. QUOTE(bmags @ Feb 20, 2006 -> 09:40 PM) the new Ghostface , and also the Ghostface MF doom official collaboration. ^^^
  4. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Feb 20, 2006 -> 02:24 PM) I'm not sure, but I thought he wanted cameras outside of those bars?? I have no problem with them in public area's. If by apartment complex's he means in the parking lots or cameras facing the doors....then I'm all for it. If he means inside the halls and such I'd say no. From what i've read it isn't clear if the cameras would have to be in the bar or not. One thing that does seem clear is that the bar owner would be responsible to purchase the equipment (which is nonsense). Hey, if they don't want a camera on their building they should be able to make that choice. This is WAY too much government control for my taste. http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2006-0...o-cameras_x.htm
  5. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Feb 20, 2006 -> 05:11 PM) I think ID is going a little far. Its place is in Sunday school not regular school. Im a very vocal proponent of allowing prayer and other religous displays in schools but I think thats going a little far. i agree there is no scientific proof of God, just questions that cannot be answered. a science class has enough to cover without getting into theological discussions.
  6. i'd like to see the GOP nominate a reformer/moderate McCain or Tom Coburn (Coburn is new to the senate so he pretty has no chance of getting nominated).
  7. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 20, 2006 -> 06:05 PM) From Mac experts I have heard and talked to, Mac is safer, but not impenitrable. It has a lot to do with the permission and the way you instal programs. on Windows, a lot of stuff can be installed without you knwoing about it. on Mac, it requires you to enter a password. If you dont knwo what a program is, why would you install it? Not exactly true. Have you ever launced an mp3 on your computer? A virus can run on a Mac through many media forms and the user will never be prompted to accept an install. That is just one expample, but there are many more ways to install a virus on a Mac without the user knowing. Also, they're are many vulnerabilites in it's protection from a direct hack. Mac has the largest number of extremely critical security violations of any large OS system.
  8. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 20, 2006 -> 12:51 PM) OS X is more secure than Windows, but not totally impenitrable. oh really? please explain... i like macs, but they are less likely to have a virus directed towards their OS because of apple's smaller market share. (ps. this is a weighted question, i have a masters in computer science)
  9. QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Feb 19, 2006 -> 11:39 PM) Daley wants em in bars and other businesses open til 4AM. It won't really stop crime. And its a bad way to do it. yea, that sounds very intrusive. if the bar owner wants to put cameras in his/her own establishment that is their right, but to force it is bs
  10. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Feb 19, 2006 -> 09:54 PM) Read the article in the first post of this thread. It's a must-read. "He's got a Teddy bear named 'Mr. B'?'' a somewhat shocked A.J. Pierzynski asked, when told of McCarthy's longtime travel buddy. "I didn't know that -- and I wish I still didn't."
  11. wow, i guess he doesn't care about his career or money
  12. QUOTE(The Critic @ Feb 19, 2006 -> 10:19 AM) He's gonna take so much s*** over Mr. B! what's the story behind him being Mr.B?

  14. QUOTE(samclemens @ Feb 19, 2006 -> 07:27 PM) ah but then we would lose our position as one of the big 7, and would lose our power to veto anything passed by the assembly. we shouldn't completely cut funding, just pay as much as the other big countries.
  15. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 19, 2006 -> 06:47 PM) Bad idea, and it will only cause a further split between the US and the rest of the world. i don't really care if things get a little worse before they get better. our standing in Europe is already at an all-time low, perfect time to cut our funding of the UN cause hey, it was evil George Bush that cut the funding... the next president can just give the UN a bunch of lip service and pay about as much to the UN as, lets say, Germany or France.
  16. QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ Feb 19, 2006 -> 06:42 PM) Pffft -- the Constiution? That's so last century. Conform or die, you America hater.
  17. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Feb 19, 2006 -> 06:28 PM) http://www.heralddemocrat.com/articles/200...ews/state01.txt Houston’s police chief proposed Wednesday placing surveillance cameras in apartment complexes, downtown streets, shopping malls, and even private homes as a way of combatting crime with a shortage of police officers. “I know a lot of people are concerned about Big Brother, but my response to that is if you are not doing anything wrong, why should you worry about it?” -- Um...I worry about it because of the UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION, you soft-headed moron. If you want to intrude into peoples' privacy, get a f***ing warrant. yea, that is bs. i can understand having cameras in public areas (even though i don't like the idea) but private homes is way too much. chicago has those police cameras all over in bad neighborhoods
  18. QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Feb 18, 2006 -> 11:52 PM) Hard to see, but the new gold medal winner, Shani Davis (a south sider), was wearing a Sox hat shortly after he won... and in true form, Mariotti wrote a 'hatchet job' article on him afterword.
  19. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 03:02 PM) Could we get our GM a better hat? Looks like he got it at Walgreens for 5.99 no way, that hat is perfect for KW
  20. QUOTE(bmags @ Feb 19, 2006 -> 05:44 PM) i saw nada surf/rogue wave on valentines day last week. saw Secretariat and the Bad Touches on valentines day no correlation
  21. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Feb 19, 2006 -> 05:15 PM) It's post like this that make you deserve all the s*** you get, Jabroni. I don't even like Bonds. I hate the guy, but I hate you fabricating BS too. i thought the fake bonds quote was hilarious and called for.
  22. QUOTE(The Critic @ Feb 19, 2006 -> 05:05 PM) Naked Raygun i haven't heard that name in a while! great band
  23. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Feb 19, 2006 -> 04:44 PM) Prior isn't really an injury risk. He just has fluke injuries like getting run over by Marcus Giles and getting hit by a line drive. those injuries were fairly flukely, but i still think being injured often points to a player being injury prone. collisions and line drives happen in baseball, some players get injured when it happens to them others don't.
