  1. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 04:43 PM) It is really amazing how lucky Bush got with that...as the moment CBS was proven to have run forgeries, suddenly every single question about Bush's guard duty dried right back up, as no one wanted to be connected with that embarassment. From that moment on...it was totally off limits...it couldn't even get used in response to the Swifty lies. there was as much evidence pointing in the direction of "he did serve in the guard" as "he got special treatment, didn't need to show up".
  2. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 04:23 PM) First, the story wasn't fake. The letter may have been, but there was other evidence besides the letter. And having seen the other evidence, I'm not sure Bush didn't in fact skip out. whoa...i know you aren't defending the use of forged documents, in an attempt to sway public opinion, on a national news telecast directly before a presidential election? the "well it was probably true anyways" argument is a very bad one.
  3. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 01:23 PM) This is going to fillibuster now for obvious reasons... enjoy. suprised it wasn't just started there

  5. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 8, 2006 -> 08:18 PM) But then again he wants more money than Urlacher and his agent is Mr. "Next Question". really? i didn't know that, kinda sucks. and by 'kinda sucks' i mean 'really sucks'.
  6. QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 8, 2006 -> 07:50 PM) Balta...I think the bullpen will be weaker because guys like Cotts and Politte won't be able to match their numbers from last year, even if they have a terrific season. They were two of the best set-up men in baseball. I don't think we can expect them to match their numbers. I'll be content if they're both in the 3.5 ERA range. Hermanson is a huge question mark right now, and I think it's safe to say that no one, not even the organization, knows what stuff he'll have this year. good points, but i still think the addition of McCarthy makes our pen in 2006 better than 2005. Also, Jenks gained valuable experience last season and could be even more dominant this year. Hermanson's health is a question mark, but I have confidence in Cotts and Politte having fairly similar seasons this year as last (maybe not as good, but your evaluation of 3.5 ERA's for both sounds pretty good... i'll be happy with an era in the low 3's for both).
  7. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Mar 8, 2006 -> 07:48 PM) I still say Morgan Freeman was the WORST President in history. He sent Robert Duvall to blow up the meteor and not Bruce Willis!! uaually i totally disagree with everything ribberubarb says... but this time he is right.

  12. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 8, 2006 -> 12:25 PM) What I've heard sounds a lot like Interpol. It's too soon to be ripping off Interpol. interpol = joy division ripoff lol na, interpol is alright
  13. QUOTE(bmags @ Mar 8, 2006 -> 12:45 AM) what if it knocks the moon out of orbit!?!?!? doesn't matter, global warming will knock the moon out of orbit anyways.
  14. I think Gload is a lock to make the team, Borchard I'm not too sure about. I do think Borchard is more MLB ready than Owens, Sweeney or Fields but I don't think Ozzie likes his "all or nothing" approach to hitting.
  15. QUOTE(Soxy @ Mar 7, 2006 -> 09:15 PM) That sounds like a challenge. . .
  16. I don't know, i've never been offended by anything someone said here. but i'm kinda hard to offend.

  21. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 6, 2006 -> 12:17 AM) Then there's that Pudge guy. He had an off year last year. But if he can repeat what he did just a couple seasons ago if they stop testing for steroids pudge will be fine
  22. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Mar 6, 2006 -> 12:17 AM) That quote's just plain erroneous. Anyone who knows Brokeback knows it's not about front running... It's about coming from behind. :puke
