QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 3, 2013 -> 01:53 PM) Well, he did retire twice. You automatically assumed I meant after '98. But I still don't consider them to be from the same era. That would be like lumping Dr. J and MJ into the same era. Or Bill Russell and KAJ.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 3, 2013 -> 01:48 PM) c'mon now. I know michael was still in the league when kobe arrived, but i don't consider them from the same era. You considered KAJ and Bill Russell to be from the same era and Russell retired before KAJ debuted.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 3, 2013 -> 01:41 PM) Point is the way everyone attacks the C position today, it's just as easy to attack perimeter players back in the 90's. Jordan retires and your next best sg is who? Mitch Richmond? Reggie Miller? Pg, you had gary payton, stockton and um? SF you had pippen, hill and then, um? Yeah. It was pretty thin back then. Your point? Look at the league today!

QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 3, 2013 -> 01:43 PM) Gibson said "That's what happens when you rush back and try to help your team win" about his injury. I know someone reading that might be tempted to make comparisons to Rose, but really stop. Rose's surgery was almost 11 months ago, he's finished healing, finished rehab, and doing intense 5-on-5 practice in which, by all accounts, he looks great. That is hardly "rushing back." Taj sprained his MCL (no surgery required), came back a couple weeks too early, and aggravated it. You could also read it as "look I care". I'm sure his teammates are pretty sick of Rose and his entourage right now. If he is indeed kicking their asses in scrimmages and then letting them go out there and play while he continues to "rehab" longer than any professional does from an ACL injury.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 3, 2013 -> 01:35 PM) Your source contacted me and said otherwise. Hey, at least I can take a licking and not resort to this type of post, but that's cool. No problem. Rose is a p****.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 3, 2013 -> 01:31 PM) Those are all good players in some form or another. I counter you with Zach Randolph, Luol Deng, Joakim Noah, Kevin Garnett's old busted ass STARTING, Jrue Holiday It's not like the all-Star roster was packed with Hall of Famers every year. You beat me to this post.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 3, 2013 -> 01:22 PM) Whatever. It was supposed to be enforced in I believe '95 because everybody was tired of thug ball (pistons/knicks) that had taken over the nba. This along with shortening the 3-point line to boost scoring. Just stop. Your arguments are all pretty much wrong. You have a problem with 60s era NBA? Ok, that's fine. Bunch of white fools with short shorts who sucked and no three point line to leverage them. Beyond that, you're making a fool of yourself.

QUOTE (Joxer_Daly @ Apr 3, 2013 -> 01:18 PM) MLB.TV is not letting me access, saying I'm in a blackout area. It's asking me to verify with all my credit card details... Is that normal? Looks to be coming from the MLB site alright, but I don't see how that info verifies my location. It's accurate. You put in that info and your home address and you'll be in - that's how they do it.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 3, 2013 -> 01:11 PM) Gmab. Defensive 3 seconds were like handchecking rules during the 90's. Everybody talks about handchecking today. Handdchecking was implemented back in '94 or '95. They just didn't enforce it. Handchecking has been guarded against in various forms since the 70s. That said, it was further clarified and became the present day force it is with regards to changing the game in 2004.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 3, 2013 -> 01:03 PM) Mutombo would not average 4.5/5 blocks or whatever it was a game if he were in his prime today. Defensive 3 seconds alone wouldn't allow it. Hey genius. Defensive 3 seconds was always a rule, it was just considered an illegal zone back then.

At least Lucas got paid.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 3, 2013 -> 01:00 PM) Whatever. The 60's and 70's were the same s***. Dwight would obliterate either decade. And the 80s?

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 3, 2013 -> 12:51 PM) You didn't need it back then. There's this one guy, I won't mention his name, but it rhymes with Jill Tussell, that is considered to be one of the 10 best players of all time even though he's really not. Hey genius. Bill Russell 1956 - 1969 KAJ - 1969 - 1989

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 3, 2013 -> 12:37 PM) Was Alford at this fake prayer meeting and who is the source regarding the info ? From the official report on the matter. sick f*cks

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 3, 2013 -> 12:28 PM) And now with the better ped testing, the 40 homerun season is becoming less prevalent, isnt it? The best way I've found to understand how much offense is changed is to have a fantasy draft. My mind still has to wrap itself around what a "good" fantasy season is these days. If you can get .270/15/60 out of a second baseman with 10-20 steals, he's a starter. It's entertaining. Third outfielders used to be a lock for 30/100. Now that's your top outfielder on a fantasy squad.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 3, 2013 -> 12:30 PM) One other thing to consider is the girl was a student/athlete. The athletic department probably was more involved because of it. I don't find his actions legit, I believe he should have stayed out of it, let the others handle it,but he cared about his player and knew if he was convicted of this crime he didn't believe his player committed would ruin the guy's life. If you think a person close to you is being falsely accused of rape, wouldn't you think the person accusing them is lying? But again, it all came down to trusting what Pierre Pierce had to say. If he truly thought he was lying, he would have thrown him off the team. Why isn't Bernstein going after the University or the AD? They didn't even throw him out of school. How does the girl being an athlete have anything to do with a fake prayer meeting?
-
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 3, 2013 -> 12:15 PM) And why did he pressure the girl? Because he trusted and believed Pierce which turned out to be a huge mistake. Pierce was immediately suspended after he was charged and did sit out a season. Why did a grown man ensure that a college girl who was sexually assaulted kept her mouth shut? Because of trust? He could have had video evidence that nothing happened and still been outside his duties and rights by strong-arming that girl, through a religious outfit no less. That's despicable. What's more despicable is that people so quickly shrug it off as no big deal and would say he was duped by Pierce. Alford had no right to arrange any sort of confrontation with the abused girl in this situation. It's not that hard a fact to understand.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 3, 2013 -> 12:12 PM) Is Blake 7"? If he is, he should be on that list. Love isn't 7" is he?
-
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 3, 2013 -> 12:08 PM) Kevin Love -injured Dwight Howard - injured/disinterested Andrew Bynum - bigger vagina than Rose That's three guys right there that would easily be 20-10 if healthy. Yeah, it was just a rough season for the league's best big men.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 3, 2013 -> 11:41 AM) I am? Everything that comes out of your big mouth is made-up. Do we have to provide links for everything we post if you happen to disagree with us? Well, this is made up. You don't even know the size of my mouth.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 3, 2013 -> 12:01 PM) The Bulls are like a wounded animal, still dangerous if you get too close, but you feel pity for it and wish someone would just take it out back and shoot it. This is perfect.

QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Apr 3, 2013 -> 09:48 AM) What does this MEAN? There's been so many perfect games lately that they are becoming less meaningful.
