QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 9, 2013 -> 08:28 AM) Yeah, I wasn't sure, but then that last scene with Fiona made it clear they have no plans to bring him back. Anyways, great finale. Although it felt closer to a series finale. I had to check to make sure it was renewed. I felt the same way, and it seems a lot of people felt it was a series finale. I knew it'd been renewed, but it seemed to cleanly wrap up a lot of storylines. Of course, with a bigger budget due to the fact that so many people love the show, it makes some sense that the show will expand even further beyond Chicagoland. There's so many writing opportunities (Ian likely getting kicked out of the Army, Lip "integrating" with regular people at MIT - they thankfully wrapped up Karen/Jody/baby storlyine. Be gone with anything Karen. We're set up for some solid office politics (and likely a romance with the funny boss). Kevin and V with a kid and hopefully the awkwardness of mom hanging around... will Frank clean himself up? Lots of good stuff.
  2. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Apr 8, 2013 -> 11:30 PM) My current facebook status. Don't know why I felt the need to post it here, but I did. props to pops
  3. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 9, 2013 -> 08:25 AM) You can beat up a vagina pretty good and in most cases it's as good as new within a couple of days, tops. You could even push a baby out of it and it's back in "game shape" within a few weeks, maybe earlier. That can't be said about certain people. Good point.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Apr 9, 2013 -> 07:35 AM) I hated that Jimmy's fate was basically not touched upon at all. And I'm also worried the show might be losing characters. I haven't seen or heard anything but with Ian, Lip, Jody/Karen all leaving Michigan it sets up an exit plan for them. I think we're supposed to read between the lines. Jimmy's dead.

    Shameless finale was f***ing superb.
  6. The NCAA's has just been about chucking bad threes and being lucky this year.
  7. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 8, 2013 -> 03:05 PM) David Stern should fine the Bulls 250,000 The Heat are due first.
  8. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 8, 2013 -> 02:37 PM) If the team keeps this up, it will be a likeable team. Home runs flying out of the park in mighty cold weather. Wait til it heats up. If we keep winning home series like that and play .500 on the road, we'll be in the pennant race all season again. Only to fall apart in the final month again.

  11. I'd much rather watch the game at a bar where beer is of bountiful choice and much more affordable and watch the game most of the time.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Apr 8, 2013 -> 09:57 AM) I'm a huge fan of the show but last night was a little dull. But it was a "catching up" episode, so I expected that. I feel like it being two hours made it pretty horrific. If that's broken up into two episodes, it doesn't come off as as boring. That said, there was still plenty of good s***.
  13. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Apr 8, 2013 -> 09:37 AM) Not necessarily disagreeing with you, but pointing out that Jordan's double-nickel game was in his fifth game back. Nope. Didn't happen.
  14. Rose not playing today. 6 games left in the season. Vagina.
  15. QUOTE (Andrew @ Apr 6, 2013 -> 01:58 AM) I think we can all agree that whether you're a Hawk fan or not, he's DEFINITELY done more for us over the years and years as SOX fans than...well anything, stupid Steve948...675, 3-Oh 9eee9iiiee9in.. has done..including this dips*** thread. It must be said - Steve must go. Why? Cuz f*** STEVE for dissing the Hawk, that's why. Hawk rulez!!! LOL
  16. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 5, 2013 -> 03:22 PM) Oh, speaking of negotiations. That seems to be what NK's beef is. http://www.salon.com/2013/04/05/north_kore...ally_happening/ Here's the cliff's notes if you don't want to read the whole thing: the Clinton Administration had high-level talks with them back in '94 and those talks were making progress, then before that finished the Bush administration came in with a totally different approach to diplomacy (i.e. no negotiations, "axis of evil," etc.) and scrapped the '94 agreement. NK responded by saying, in effect, "f*** this" and left the NPT went ahead with its nuclear testing. A few years later they realize they were f***ing up and went ahead with the 6-party talks per Condi and extended the '94 agreement. The Obama administration comes in and more or less waits for Kim Jong-Il to die because they thought his regime was going to collapse - it didn't - and NK tried to negotiate and offer steps to shut down its nuclear program in exchange for a declaration that the US has no hostile intent to NK. They ignored it (dumb). So that leads us to now. Thank you.
  17. I hate games against the Mariners for some reason.
  18. QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 5, 2013 -> 11:32 AM) This is how I am with Abercrombie & Fitch...I worked there for about 4 years when I was in college, eventually running my own store...still have friends from there that I've kept in touch with for almost 15 years now....and man, did I take for granted to access to hot college chicks I had... You were the shirtless model greeter, weren't you?
  19. QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 5, 2013 -> 08:31 AM) Worked at Blockbuster for two years in high school. Can still smell it. Despite the rude customers, worked with a lot of cool people and had fun times hanging with them outside of work. You guys got me all nostalgic. I worked at Blockbuster for about 4 years, while I was a senior in high school through most of college. I loved that place.

Let's just assume that you can safely talk, spoiler-free, without any worries, by simply using the books thread. It's not that hard to understand, actually.
  21. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 5, 2013 -> 10:25 AM) Seriously. Is this to just rile me up. Noah is a tough dude. Remember the ankle injury he tried playing through during last years playoffs. I think he was being sarcastic and defending Rose despite the fact that the two situations could not be more different.
  22. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 4, 2013 -> 10:46 PM) Did someone actually take the time to replicate the OSFM 2013 roster for MLB 12? I can't imagine the file works for both, considering how they changed the attribute system in 2013.... Joe, I'm not sure if they bothered to "replicate" it - they may have taken the last update from last year, and updated it for this year. It's money, though. I highly recommend it!
