  1. Now I remember what pre-Kenny Williams offseasons felt like.
  2. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 25, 2013 -> 12:32 PM) I also can't stand running on treadmills either, which is why I prefer the elliptical if I'm focusing on cardio. Buy tablet. Watch whatever you want on said tablet while running on treadmills.
  3. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 25, 2013 -> 10:59 AM) I assume someone else is Brian. I'm too passive aggressive for the job. badger
  4. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jan 25, 2013 -> 10:57 AM) It takes longer than that. Yer doin' it wrong.

    2013 TV Thread

Workaholics is so god damned funny. Adam - totally serious: "I just love tits you guys."
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 25, 2013 -> 10:13 AM) He won't. He's already come close. I think it's safe to say that if the Hawks can win the Cup with Antti Niemi in the net that Corey Crawford would suffice if everything clicked.
  7. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 25, 2013 -> 10:17 AM) So I usually use the large stair machine, where the stairs are like 4 feet high and it's like actually walking up stairs. Sometimes those are full and I try to use the smaller machines, where it's more like your feet are on pedals so to speak. I can never figure out how to use those. Every 2-3 steps, my feet hit the ground and it can't keep the machine going. Am I going too fast or too slow? Do I need to change a setting? I've never used the ones you speak of at the end of your post.
  8. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jan 25, 2013 -> 10:30 AM) Wait...not so fast. Mine also kicked in, so I countered your counter and was able to create a stand off...when we both realized Jake was standing there laughing at the whole thing, so we decided to throw him in, instead. Laugh at that, Jakemeister. Yeah, but you like boys.
  9. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 25, 2013 -> 09:07 AM) According to the brochure, we don't start putting cyanide in until week 3 That may be substituted for arsenic, it's all personal preference.
  10. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jan 25, 2013 -> 09:13 AM) IIRC ss2k5 said that Deng is a better defender than Pippen was at one point That's just asinine. So is comparing Melo and Pippen given they are such completely different players.
  11. QUOTE (Boogua @ Jan 25, 2013 -> 09:08 AM) Because the rule changes make it a guards league. People loved watching Allen Iverson so the league said "why don't we make everyone able to play like Iverson?!" Allen Iverson put up two of the best years of his career after the rule changes from the ages of 29-32. Pretty strange considering his game was almost completely reliant on his athleticism and ability to get to the rim. He was steadily declining the years before the changes and then BOOM! These things you state are obvious. Also, the league has done a great job in marketing it's stars - it's almost like a soap opera. KG talking about Melo's wife's twat, Dwight/LBJ drama, team "doing it right" in OKC, Kobe bein' Kobe, etc etc. It's a star driven league and the league is just littered with stars who have the personality and the want to get their faces out there. I love it so much it makes my heart pitter patter.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 25, 2013 -> 08:02 AM) Exactly. With a goalie who could have games like that, the Hawks would be a cup favorite. Hey, I like s***ting on Corey Crawford, it's one of my favorite pastimes, but he's been fantastic so far this season. 3-0, .923, 1.98. I'd poo my pantaloons if he could keep that percentage around .920 all year long.

  14. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 11:13 PM) 90's basketball > 2000-2013 basketball. 2008 - 2013 basketball is more fun to watch and a much better product than any era in the history of the game.
  15. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 10:23 PM) They aren't beyond comparison, but they also are not a shadow of the current player mold that you are making them out to be I may or may not have been trolling to ignite some fun conversation. Come on guys, Jordan's the f***ing bomb. I could see LeBron getting to his level at some point, but it's Jordan.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 10:10 PM) Scottie is a twig compared to Carmelo. Seriously. Scottie has some length but Carmelo has the same level of speed as scottie, maybe more, with vastly more power than Scottie had. Eh, it's useless. The 90s Bulls are beyond comparison apparently.
  17. Kyrie Irving deserves all of your loves and then somes.
  18. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 03:52 PM) J.J. Abrams is directing the next 'Star Wars' film!!!!! Wow.
  19. QUOTE (Boogua @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 04:51 PM) And you've provided what again? Kevin Johnson's highest PER was 23.7, and his career mark was 20.7 Chris Paul's lowest mark was 22.0, and his career mark is 25.5 (high of 30). In his second year, Kyrie Irving's PER is almost as high as KJ's best mark.
  20. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 03:53 PM) You also have to consider how physical the game was back then. Do you think Wade would be so tough if he got body slammed by the Bad Boys? Jordan dealt with that s*** all the time. Thef*ck's comparing Wade to Jordan? I think LeBron would hold up just fine.
  21. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 03:46 PM) Yikes, maybe. There were some great PG's back there, but they are obviously more physically gifted nowadays. I would still take Isiah Thomas and Magic over pretty much anyone these days other than D Rose. Wait, you'd take Rose over Magic? I'm a homer and I love me some D, but prime Magic?
  22. QUOTE (Boogua @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 03:47 PM) Solid argument. KJ was extremely athletic with a fantastic midrange game. He was also lightening quick. He couldn't be as successful as an athletic freak like Steve Nash, who was one of the better PGs in the league just last year. He's no Greivis Vasquez (who's averaging 14 pts and 9 ast). Yeah, today's PGs are just FREAKS!111! If assists are the only numbers you use in your argument of good point guard, then your scouting of points guards is pretty awful.
  23. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 03:44 PM) Im not sure anyone is killing Magic. But then again we are talking about 1 freak player who was a combination of size/athleticism that still has not really been replicated. You mean aside from the bigger/better guy playing for the Heat right now with #6 on his jersey, right?
