QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 10:09 AM) Take the train. You can't hold yourself back at your age because you're afraid to make a little commute into the City. Of course, this is coming from a psycho... It's reasons like these that I participate in such a well-structured, online community. I know I should stay career-oriented, I'm just being a b****. Add to that a couple other interviews coming up closer to home. We'll see what happens.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 08:08 AM) This is totally, 100% a personal judgment call about how much the extra time on the commute is worth to you. Yeah - I'm struggling with the decision. Comfort zone, set workout schedule, flexibility vs career goals. The latter will likely win out, but we'll see.

He's been a huge waste of talent for quite some time, but it looks like Michael Beasley might actually work himself into an at least somewhat useful player under a new coach in Phoenix. Thoughts?

Jones should have been MVP.

QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 09:23 AM) I think Thibs has avoided Teague recently due to his play. He had a nice stretch, but recently when he has come in in garbage time situations he's immediately turning the ball over. I think we'll see a 40+ minute game from Nate Robinson again, and basically just wear out robinson, butler, deng, and gibson. Yeah, Teague's been pretty terrible. It's weird that I can definitively say that in 15 days Derrick Rose will be on the court.

Quick question to all out there. I have a job right now with a 5 minute commute and tons of flexibility. I'm looking at a position that would pay about 50% more, but include a train ride to the city, then the bus. Worth it?

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 2, 2013 -> 07:11 AM) Two straight shootout defeats. The Hawks are getting too cute with the puke in front of the net. This turned into a funny auto correct. -
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 2, 2013 -> 11:29 AM) So I took your advice steve and started watching Downton. Through 2 episodes it looks like a show I'll really enjoy. I've never met anyone, male or female, who gave it a shot and didn't wind up thinking it was great. I'm glad you are enjoying it!

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Feb 1, 2013 -> 05:00 PM) I think the bigger issue is the fact that he claimed to be waiting for his dad to get ready in a hotel room in NOLA and his ip address was in Illinois. Either way I find it hilarious. There might be some ridiculous explanation but if there isnt I hope hes too embarrassed to continue to post here because he brings absolutely nothing to any discussion and its been clear for a long time the only thing he is interested in doing is trolling. Wait. THE FORTY NINERS ARE GOING TO WIN SUPER BOWL 47 AND COLIN KAEPERNICK WILL BE MVP That doesn't bring anything to discussion? What about THE NINERS BEAT THE PACKERS TWICE Does that?

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 1, 2013 -> 04:42 PM) Rose tore his ACL in late April. He's been out 9 months so far, probably ~9.5 will be close to his total missed. Peterson tore his ACL at Christmas. His first real game was September 9. He missed ~8.5. And just to note, only topped 100 yards once in his first 6 games. And if he hits the ground running, and averages 30ppg, 10apg, and shoots 50% from deep, then we can compare him to what AD did. Also, all this deer antler s*** is hilarious. Of course Ray Lewis f***ing cheated. From same article.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 1, 2013 -> 04:22 PM) But he tore his ACL. Didnt ptatc say that HGH and PEDs dont affect tendons and ligaments? I'm no doctor - but I would think such things would affect one's ability to rehab those injuries and work out harder to get back quicker?

QUOTE (Jake @ Feb 1, 2013 -> 10:48 AM) I thought the first Michael Scott-less season of The Office was great, but I really don't know what the f*** they're doing this year. I've laughed some, but it has so far been a really unsatisfying final season. I suppose some of it is necessary work (Jim leaving) to close up the show, but what the f*** are they doing with Andy? It's asinine. I think this season has actually been hilarious - while I'd dropped it previously. I actually wish they'd stay around now that it's funny again. Andy is out on some boat I'd guess because Ed Helms is really busy in real life. They should kill Pam off, though, what a whiny b****.

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Feb 1, 2013 -> 09:06 AM) It needed to go...show wasn't all that great the last few seasons...it's like they were phoned in because they were out of ideas. I agree with this - we dropped 30 Rock about 3 seasons ago as it was just lather, rinse, repeat character storylines. It just got bad.
