http://www.scribd.com/doc/75786026/Hurd-Complaint "HURD stated he was interested in purchasing five to ten kilograms of cocaine and 1,000 pounds of marijuana per week for distribution in the Chicago area. HURD negotiated to receive the aforementioned amounts of narcotics at $25,000 per kilogram of cocaine and $450 per pound of marijuana. HURD further stated that he and another co-conspirator currently distribute about four kilograms of cocaine per week in the Chicago area, but that the supplier could not supply him with enough quantity" Ten kilos of Coke @ $25,000 per x 52 = $13,000,000 in annual transactions. 1,000 lbs of marijuana @ $450 per x 52 = $23,400,000 in annual transcations. This was set to become Hurd's SECONDARY drug source. Holy crap. -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 12:24 PM) I'd say I was more illustrating how riduclous the idea that Kobe might get traded to the Lakers is. But whatever works. Yes, Kobe getting traded to the team he currently is on is quite the ridiculous idea.

"Sam Hurd was one of the top few drug dealers in the city of Chicago" - on The Score just now. -

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 11:07 AM) @skjensen:Sam Hurd told undercover agent he wanted to purchase 5-10 kilograms of cocaine & 1,000 pounds of marijuana a week to distribute in Chicago. Wow. He wasn't messing around. Christ in a dumptruck that's nuts. -
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 09:54 AM) But I eagerly await the Lakers decline. The Lakers will spend until they are relevant very quickly.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 10:30 AM) Damnit (in regards to NIU player, don't really care about Hurd) Exactly. This coupled with Wolfe's offseason arrest is annoying. -

Rip is obviously an improvement. I, however, wish the Bulls had set their sights larger when looking to upgrade the 2. We're now locked into Rip until the end of the 2012/2013 season.
-
Rip deal is official. 2 for 10 with a club option for a 3rd.

QUOTE (Cali @ Dec 14, 2011 -> 05:10 PM) 1/3 of the Sox starting line-up (Beckham, Dunn, Rios) are these seemingly fragile head cases. You missed Quentin... he's the most notorious head case of them all.

QUOTE (VictoryMC98 @ Dec 14, 2011 -> 04:35 PM) Or to quote Hawk.. and I rarely do.. Nonsense. You are a Hawk quote machine.

A source told Yahoo! Sports that "Dwight’s not a happy camper," and Howard has told the Magic that he'll leave via free agency if not dealt by the March 15 deadline. In other words, though trade talks have quieted down for the moment, we certainly haven't heard the last of Howard being traded. And it wouldn't be remotely shocking to see trade talk ramp up well in advance of the March 15 deadline. Apparently, Dwight Howard is really interested in making people dislike him.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 14, 2011 -> 04:21 PM) so I just saw a bootleg of the prologue. HOLY s***. quality was horrible, but wow That was the worst pirate job in the world, but I still am very excited. Poor Bruce.

The Lindsay Lohan pics are terrible and airbrushed to s***.

QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 14, 2011 -> 03:49 PM) Norm Van Lier is a crazy dead guy on the post game show.

QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Dec 14, 2011 -> 03:14 PM) So if I buy something for $4.30 and give the cashier a $20 I'll get 3 fives 2 quarters and 4 nickels. That's 1 extra bill and 2 extra coins than what I would get now. Use your debit card, hippy.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports that Orlando is ending trade talks involving Dwight Howard. No surprise.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 14, 2011 -> 02:33 PM) I have the 2nd one, very good. I still like Batman better though. Finished up Arkham City over the weekend. The game was tons of fun, though.

It's unfair to compare Russell's game to those of players playing today. The fact of the matter is, he rose above the competition. In a world of advanced metrics, I'd think people would be all about this. Bill Russell was one of the best of his era, of this there is zero doubt. He was not privy to sports medicine and science today, and he was only able to play against the competition... which he dominated.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 14, 2011 -> 01:57 PM) Rose isn't in Dirk's league either. That was also a way better team than the Bulls have. Drugs + You = Bad

Getting pissed at Derrick Rose for not recruiting is just silly. The kid is all about working hard and being the best. I know he's not on that level, but do you believe Jordan would have recruited players? s*** no. Recruiting is not part of Rose. If players want to come try to win a championship, he will receive them with open arms, but begging an enemy (and trust me, this is how D-Rose views these guys, especially a guy he's had run-ins with in the past on the court) to come play with him isn't in his blood. Everything that has made D-Rose so great so quickly is that he has that MJ-esque competitive nature. I'd rather have Rose than some joker like LeBron or Howard who care more about sandy beaches than about winning. Also, Derrick Rose is not shy. Someone said that. That is not the case. He's young, and really came into his own with the media starting at media day last year.

QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 14, 2011 -> 11:04 AM) Poor Gerald Wallace. I still doubt it happens. I firmly believe the Magic have zero desire to trade Dwight, and are just placating his peeps. There really is no reason to move him right now.
