QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 13, 2011 -> 03:24 PM) Well then this should make you unhappy, as well. http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/21748...andez_From_Mavs edit: Also, I'm willing to give Rip a chance. I thought Shawn Marion was deader than a doornail, and then he re-emerged last year as his scrappy self. Sometimes these players will find their youth on a competitive team. Rudy. Good old Rudy. I used to love Rudy. I think Thibs would eat Rudy alive. Good point on Marion; I just hate Rip.

Anyone have a Kindle Fire? The wife wants one for X-Mas, and I want to ensure they aren't piles of trash.

QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 13, 2011 -> 02:42 PM) It's done, we're getting rip. edit: not officially done, but there's been no other words except assured confidence that rip will sign tomorrow. And no, i don't want crawford for 3/15. Crawford @ 3/15 is better than the corpse of Rip Hamilton for this roster, imo.
-
That Crawford deal isn't done, is it? The Bulls would be smart to swoop in and offer 3 years at the MLE ($15 guaranteed, vs $5+$5). He could be our Jason Terry lite. The Bulls had better take the Rip Hamilton blinders off and f***ing make that offer to a player in his prime who greatly matches what we need, vs another guy who needs an entire team to set screens to be effective.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 13, 2011 -> 12:51 PM) If the Magic are smart, they read this, and realize...none of those teams will be under the cap far enough to offer anything close to a max contract next year...Except Maybe the Nets, and it would be really pushing it for them to do so. Thus, if Dwight Howard wants to play for any of those teams other than Orlando, it's going to be really hard for him to have a team around him, and it's going to cost him $30-$40 million, and that's in NJ (depending of course on what the Nets do this year in order to fill out their roster and get to the salary floor). Great point. And really, how attractive would the Nets be? At that point Deron will be whoring himself out to the league trying to land in the best possible spot. Really, couldn't the Magic have as much a case as the Nets to sign both players? If they are serious about winning, they could rock a buyout to make enough room for both.

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Dec 13, 2011 -> 12:43 PM) Still dumb. Most flops don't make nearly as much money as Kwame has. Kwame didn't play too terribly last year. You reckon he'd get about $4 million in a normal situation, while GSW needed to find a way to hit the salary floor so he got a free $3 million out of it. Sure, that inherently sounds stupid, but I guess paying Kwame extra on one year is better than signing another player you can't play and have to pay insurance, expenses, etc on.

QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Dec 13, 2011 -> 12:43 PM) I'm probably the only Sox fan that looks back on Borchard fondly. I would certainly hope there aren't any more out there.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 13, 2011 -> 11:46 AM) I just want to know about the part JGL is going to play. Because I know he isnt some sidebar/minor character, and his character was created for this movie I've already posted that I believe he's going to take over as Batman after Bruce Wayne gets proper f***ed.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 13, 2011 -> 11:37 AM) Like with Ryan Braun's MVP, we will now have to add an asterisk to each of your last two championships in that league. Don't forget about the draft tonight.

QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Dec 13, 2011 -> 11:35 AM) Warriors just paid 7M for a year of Kwame Brown. 7M Kwame Brown. Kwame is lucky. The Warriors needed to sign someone for exactly that amount to reach the salary floor.

Oh, what could have been. Zach Zaidman @ZachZaidman 2 mins Reply Retweet Favorite · Open Since Week 6, #Bears defense has allowed just 80.5 rush yards per game and limited opposing QBs to 66.0 rating (ranked 2nd in NFL in both). -
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 13, 2011 -> 11:12 AM) I dont understand how this is now the norm in the NBA. Cleveland, Miami, and now Orlando. I'm not noticing too many rings in recent memory for the teams letting their players be GM. Kobe wanted out. Smart moves in LA brought Gasol in and that shut him up. The only time Kobe played GM in getting Shaq out, Shaq won the next title with Miami. Great move, guy. These are just more reasons Derrick Rose was sent to us straight from heaven.

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Dec 13, 2011 -> 09:37 AM) All the Tebow hype is sickening, there is no come from behind win if the Bears had a competant QB or don't self destruct late in the game, it was way more the Bears losing the game than Tebow winning it for Denver. Having a kicker who's hit from 59 multiple times in his career is a fantastic weapon. I have to give some credit there. -
Can some kind mod move this latest DKR convo to that thread so it gets hopping? Start, I guess, with the post of mine with Bane and Bats in the Batcave. Thanks, kindly.

QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 13, 2011 -> 10:05 AM) I think those are just lights. There are lights in the hoover dam... If Batman and Bane are having a blowout battle at the Hoover Dam, I will find you and phellate you.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 13, 2011 -> 10:00 AM) Let's not forget that the "Bat Cave" as shown in Batman Begins was likely to be at least partially reconstructed in the process of strengthening the foundation of Wayne Manor during its reconstruction. Plus, he's had 10 years to perfect it.
