  1. LeBron really wants to dominate here.
  2. It'd be awesome if this game waited til right about when the Bulls game ends to get going!
  3. This team can't finish a quarter.
  4. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 24, 2011 -> 08:43 PM) Technically its from Always Sunny. yes.
  5. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 24, 2011 -> 08:29 PM) Refs going to give the bulls some help here, I think they sense this is close We require ref love to even have a chance. Rose needs to play like an MVP.
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 24, 2011 -> 08:26 PM) I still can't believe the bulls are playing THIS poorly, this sloppy its so uncharacteristic. They also need to abandon the 3 pt field goal.
  7. The Heat are a thousand times better than the Bulls.
  8. This game is over.
  9. Noah has no hands. He'd be as effective with hooks.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ May 24, 2011 -> 08:09 PM) Is it me or has C.J. Watson been horrible this series? He heard you.
  11. This all looks familiar.
  12. Nice moving pick by Bosh.
  13. QUOTE (Bighurt52235 @ May 24, 2011 -> 06:09 PM) Why the hell does anyone care how much guys are making? Or what OPS you're getting for so many million dollars? You and I don't pay the salary, and there is no salary cap in baseball. We're not exactly handcuffed by Rios and Dunn's contracts. Sure, Rios is not exactly tradeable, but his salary doesn't prevent us from working with the 24 other active roster spots. What would be different if he were being paid $3 mil this year? Because every buck wasted on a bad player is one buck not being spent on good players.
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 24, 2011 -> 07:21 PM) In other words , he wasn't run out of town and that's a nearly libelous way to describe it Wow. It was well-documented that Guillen and Cabrera butted heads all season long, and Cabrera had to be reprimanded for b****ing about error calls. "Well, for the very reason that Alexei [Ramirez] is at shortstop and one of the kids will be the second baseman, I don't think Orlando wants to come back on an arbitration offer and be a utility guy," said Williams. I remember the tone of that quote as well. Kenny was telling the All-Star shortstop to take a hike.
  15. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ May 24, 2011 -> 07:02 PM) To be fair, the Cubs and Mets have been pretty awful considering their payrolls too. Atleast the Cubs can point at the Pujols led Cards, and the Mets can blame having to compete vs. the Braves and the lately stellar Phillies. Did you not read to the end of my post? I specifically listed those two teams, as well as the Dodgers.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 24, 2011 -> 07:03 PM) How do you run an unrestricted FA out of town? Wow. Where on Earth were you during the 2008 season?
  17. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 24, 2011 -> 06:47 PM) you lash out like an 8 year old like you always have. Alrighty, if that's how you perceive me, it's all good in my book. I'm trying to find a good acquisition the last three seasons. I really am. KW has made great moves, and I adore the man for his work from 2003-2006. Since we won the World Series, the Danks/Floyd acquisitions were great. The Thome acquisition was great. Those were a long, long time ago. I mean, just look at these rosters since 2006. 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 I mean, feel free to enlighten me on the "good acquisitions" the Chicago White Sox have come up with since the oft-injured, up-and-down Carlos Quentin. Orlando Cabrera? The regime ran him out of town. JJ Putz? Don't you dare say Beckham or Sale, because the jury is very much still out on both players. So I leave it in your hands since you're such a f***ing brilliant know-it-all. Show me these magic great acquisitions. The truth of the matter is, KW is having one of the worst stretches of General Managing, with a huge budget, that I can remember save the situations on the North Side, in New York (Mets), and Los Angeles (Dodgers).
  18. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 24, 2011 -> 05:55 PM) you b**** when win. No. I don't consider a 12-9 stretch to get them within 5 games of .500 "winning", though. I've been to six games already, it's not like I'm some f***ing ship jumper. I just want someone held accountable for the joke I've been supporting.
  19. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 24, 2011 -> 05:49 PM) So in your mind, there are no moves that show his competence, only those which are fireable offenses? This is getting laughable. You really suck at reading comprehension. I'm saying that there have been enough brutal, punt millions upon millions of dollars worth of moves, that it's FINALLY caught up to him after I supported him his entire tenure. Stop being such a troll and read some posts.
  20. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 24, 2011 -> 04:56 PM) Who is forgetting it? Everyone is aware that it was backed. Just because it was backed by the fan base does not mean that Kenny gets away with it since it's turning out to be a bad move. Who cares? Adam Dunn WILL bust out of his funk; I don't think his lack of production over this month and a half should even be considered when we talk about firing Kenny. He's built himself quite the resume of failure, no need to add Dunn to his other very fireable offenses.
  21. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ May 24, 2011 -> 04:50 PM) See, I disagree with that. I supported both moves at the time, but I was a much bigger fan of the Peavy pickup. The value of an ace is significant in the post-season. Getting a guy with ace potential is practically impossible, unless you have a Dan Haren package of prospects available or have $150 million to spend in free agency. So I was glad KW rolled the dice on Peavy, even if there was a reasonable chance it wouldn't work. I'll happily take such a risk if it improves my chance of winning a World Series. A good CF on the otherhand is easier to attain, especially if you're willing to spend $55 million. I was still willing to gamble on Rios due to his immense potential, but I had much more worries about him due to his past struggles. So. Way to go with the creative screen name.
  22. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 24, 2011 -> 04:43 PM) I'll go with Beckham, simply based on the fact that he has to be an 825-850 OPS guy at 2B in the future for this team to have any chance.
