QUOTE(JoeCoolMan24 @ Feb 27, 2008 -> 01:51 PM) Updates would be nice. Mother F'ing gameday is stuck on Wasserman vs. Holliday.... >( Day giving it up - BA made a nice catch at the wall with the sun blinding him to put an end to the blood letting. 5-2 Rox now after Day gives up 3.

Detroit Tigers
QUOTE(sircaffey @ Feb 25, 2008 -> 06:52 PM) I think their pitching is going to surprise a bunch of people. if they pitch well, the division is theirs. I just don't see how that lineup can fail to produce, even if a couple have off years. Who knows - they've been following the pattern of the Sox (except for blowing the WS), so maybe they'll all have off years. If they would only trade for Erstad....

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Feb 25, 2008 -> 05:30 PM) I'm picking them to win the division. A lot will have to go wrong for them not to make it to the playoffs. But Cleveland's not going anywhere, either.

good read on the kitties. I think Leyland will do a good job of keeping their feet on the ground, but their pitching remains a question mark to me. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/spring2008/c...&id=3263626

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Feb 22, 2008 -> 01:36 PM) Juan Uribe has hit 25 homers in a season in the majors as many times as I have. He's also only had one above average season in the majors. Until he stops swinging at every piece of garbage thrown at him, he's going to be a terrible hitter. he's hit 23, 16, 21, 20 HR's over the last four seasons. yeah...25's a real stretch.- Spring Training is Officially Here

Before today I would've said signing Uribe. But suddenly i'm actually looking forward to watching Uribe and Ocab work the infield. I don't think Richar will break with the team out of ST - he's not doing himself any favors showing up late, that's for sure. If Uribe can play solid D at 2B and hit 25 dingers, I think the Sox will be a force in the central. something tells me this move to 2B could be a wake-up call for this guy (at least i hope so).- Spring Training is Officially Here

QUOTE(SoxAce @ Feb 19, 2008 -> 09:01 PM) Miguel Cabrera is in reeeeeeeally good shape. Look out AL pitchers. From everything I've read, I believe the Tigers have already been awarded the AL pennant. "Dream Team" is what Renteria is calling it. The commissioners office should intervene and just award them the title now, spare us the tedium of having to watch them win the division by 35 games. - Worst and best offseason signings/trades
