  1. We miss Carl's bat in a big, big way. I say let him hit himself out of this funk.
  2. QUOTE(56789 @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 02:01 PM) They have the second most wins in baseball! I picked up the June issue of SI while I was waiting at the dentist office this morning. Plenty of references to the great play of the sox - how scrappy they were and aggressive. I miss those guys.
  3. QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 26, 2005 -> 10:57 PM) I don't think we're gonna win a game in Cleveland. No way. Does anybody out there think we can win a game in Cleveland? After their incredible comeback they will not stop letting us win a game there. Can we still realistically claim the wild card? Momentum is a big thing this time of year. If the sox come stumbling into cleveland....not good.
  4. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 12:49 PM) All 4 teams control their own destiny. Win out and you're in. that's the coolest thing about this week - those that deserve it will move on.
  5. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 08:30 AM) Nate Robertson (6-15, 4.52 ERA). The right-hander has lost five straight starts and is 1-8 in his last 11 outings. Robertson's latest defeat was a 4-2 setback at Kansas City on Tuesday. He allowed four runs and six hits, including two home runs, over seven innings. He has surrendered at least one home run in 12 of his last 13 starts, yielding 21 total during that span. Robertson is 1-2 with a 3.76 ERA in four starts this season against the White Sox. Robertson is a lefty and his ERA is lower than Johnson who held the sox to 3 runs last night.
  6. I say blame the whole team. They scored three lousy runs against a weak ass pitcher. Situations presented themselves but what about those that didn't thanks to terrible AB's? There are now only six games left in the season. It's so disappointing to see this team play such uninspired baseball when a win was so important. This game set the tone for the four games and Detroit just got very excited about playing spoiler. They've won three straight now. I rank this loss right up there with the games in KC. Pathetic.
  7. QUOTE(longshot7 @ Sep 26, 2005 -> 05:34 PM) okay, it's a week early........ but did anyone else get Angels playoff tix, hoping that they'll play the Sox in the ALDS?? I did - if anyone else wants to hang out beforehand or after, let me know. I do, but after this loss tonight... Man, I just don't know. I have a very bad feeling about this week. I worry that the Sox won't even make it to the playoffs, that they've fired up Detroit and will continue to leave men on base and will lose 3 of 4 and be faced with elimination going into Cleveland. God I hope I'm wrong. And if I am, I'd love to meet up with you before a game in Anaheim.
  8. QUOTE(GoRowand33 @ Sep 26, 2005 -> 07:22 PM) some ideas for tomorrow start ozuna over everett rowand bats third manage bullpen better I thought Rowand should hit 3rd as well, but after tonight? Man he looked absolutely pathetic up there against a mediocre pitcher. The offense still blows no matter who hits 3rd. So f'n frustrated right now.
  9. so if we get swept by Detroit...what's our magic number?
  10. sox got what they deserve with a guy like AJ hitting 3rd. FU ozzie
  11. Uribe walks and I think I just saw a pig fly by my window
  12. Cotts could've been more efficient, but I'll take it.
  13. don't think Garland was happy about the hook, but I am
  14. mags is going to hurt us right here, i just have a bad feeling
  15. come on Carl, pull your head out of your ass and get on base
  16. we need more runs, especially with the way the kitties are nailing the ball. MUST WIN THIS GAME
  17. what is the deal with Garland and two outs? Remember years past???
