  1. QUOTE (staxx @ Apr 8, 2014 -> 05:21 PM) It's 7 games into the season, Eaton and Abreu were going to have an adjustment period. Abreu has never played in this country, Eaton has not played an entire season. Enjoy watching them grow. Having very low expectations and knowing that the majority of this group is going to go through growing pains has made the Sox more palatable and fun to watch. I just don't want to see corpeball.
  2. That was a brutal game to watch last night. Hope Q can turn things around.
  3. TEX just tried putting the shift on AJ. He of course went after an outside pitch and poked it thru the hole
  4. Rios is having a nice start to the season.
  5. Trevor Bell has an ERA of 135.00 right now. And Jhonny Peralta may need another round of juice.
  6. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 7, 2014 -> 03:26 PM) Who else do you want batting 4th? Cespedes, Ortiz, Cabrera... Gillaspie hitting 4th is fine
  7. Don't know what they can get out of him. He's done.
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 7, 2014 -> 08:45 AM) Actually the way it was handled by everyone involved was impressive. -Sale knew he had a job to do, and wasn't trying to hurt Infante to do it. He was coming in, and he was going waste high to try to plant one into his waist or back where he probably wouldn't get hurt. -Infante seemed to get that it was his turn, and that because his pitchers had plunked four guys, it was understandable. He didn't freak out, start screaming at the pitcher, etc. He was going to take it like a pro. -The umpire let Sale come after Infante twice, and didn't say anything until he pretty much had to after the 3rd time he came in. The umpire also didn't get pissy about Sale pitching inside after the fact. great point
  9. QUOTE (BaconOnAStick @ Apr 6, 2014 -> 08:27 PM) Steverson! Hell yes. Cut from the same cloth as Mark Parent.
  10. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Apr 6, 2014 -> 03:51 PM) Bunch of nervous Nellie's . Throw sucked end of story. He hasn't looked good there I'll say that but too many good things happening today for it to be worrisome. This team wasn't exactly built for defense . The goal of the offeason was get some bats. They were the worst defensive team in the league. I don't think Hahn's plan was to NOT address that.
  11. Fun team! We're going to take our lumps with Abreu at 1st but given his work ethic, I'm sure he'll be a quick study and improve. Right now he's brutal.
  12. Flowers is red hot, better sit him down.
  13. they hung in there and brought the tying run to the plate. Great game by Eaton.
  14. Sox pitching has enjoyed one 1-2-3 inning this game.
  15. Will Little is a 2nd year ump who has a long way to go
  16. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 4, 2014 -> 03:43 PM) He got busted in 2003, lost his job in 2010. My version's better
  17. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 4, 2014 -> 03:36 PM) Rex Hudler? Yeah, nobody likes him. Lost his job with the Angels when he got busted for having pot in his bag going through the airport in...wait for it...KC
  18. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 4, 2014 -> 03:36 PM) Walk some more if you say so
  19. oh this pen is going to be so much fun this year
  20. QUOTE (Vance Law @ Apr 4, 2014 -> 03:23 PM) Is that 7 straight hits for Flowers? Wonder what would've happened yesterday if Konerko didn't hit for him...
  21. Remember when KC's pen used to blow chunks? I miss that.
  22. On the bright side, Cooper will lose some weight walking to the mound this season.
  23. I hope his demeanor improves. He bounced one of those last balls up there
