The CENTURY 21 Home Run Derby (ESPN and ESPN Radio, Monday, July 11, 8 p.m. ET) will have an international flavor this year. Hoping to kick off the countdown to next year's World Baseball Classic, the derby will feature players from different nations represented throughout Major League Baseball. Six out of eight participants have confirmed their spots, according to MLB.com. According to the Web site Tuesday, the roster includes: Atlanta slugger and home run leader Andruw Jones, Philadelphia's Bobby Abreu, Milwaukee's Carlos Lee, Pittsburgh's Jason Bay, Detroit's Ivan Rodriguez and Boston's David Ortiz. The Dominican Republic will be represented by Ortiz; Venezuela by Abreu, Puerto Rico by Rodriguez; Curacao by Jones; Panama by Lee; and Canada by Bay. The only two countries not represented yet are the United States and Japan. One player who won't represent the United States will be Chicago Cubs first baseman Derrek Lee, who declined an invitation because of a sore shoulder, MLB.com reported. Seems to me that Konerko willl most likely represent the US. I think thats a really cool idea for the Home Run Derby. Anyone else have any opinions or think who else may be in the Derby?

I'm looking for Freddy to throw another gem tonight. His stuff has been just filthy as of late. His slider/curve i dont know what he calls it is just sick. Hawk is gonna be saying HE GONE quite a bit. GO SOX!!!

Yes Contreras is very iffy to me. I trust McCarthy more than him. If we made a trade i dont think McCarthy will be traded away because i dont think Ozzie and Kenny trust Contreras either. But what to do with him I have no idea.!!!

You guys really could care less if our "ace" loses against the Cubs to decide the series. I don't wanna lose any series at home let alone the the f***ing Cubs. Wow I expected alot more from some of you.

I think today is whwn we found out how much of a stud Garland is. This is probably the biggest game he's pitched for us to date. We need to see how he handles the pressure and shut down this pesky team. Cuck the Fubs!!!!

They stand no chance against Henne, Hart, the phenom Breaston, and the rest of the machine of a team. Too explosive. Oh, and their defense is usually tops in the conference. GO BLUE!!!

Who do you think has a legitamate chance, and who do u think will get snubbed? PErsonally I think Konerko, Garland, and Buerhle are for sure. I think Iguchi deserves a spot as well as Hermanson. IF Frank was healthy all year hed also be a all star.
