Last year i moved in most of my stuff 2 days early because i was down there anyway for a bears preseason game - good excuse to get there before everyone else. If you ever have this option, i highly recommend it. Sunday i barely had anything to move in but it still sucked because the wait for elevators and parking spots is ridiculous.

Harris academically ineligible; Jones likely replacement -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Associated Press WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Purdue running back Joey Harris was ruled academically ineligible for his senior season. Harris, the Boilermakers' leading rusher with more than 1,100 yards last season, needed to average a B in three summer school classes to remain eligible, Purdue sports information director Tom Schott said Thursday. Sophomore Brandon Jones, who rushed for nearly 700 yards last year, will likely replace Harris. "We just heard the news last night, so I think that not everybody is over the initial disappointment," Jones said. "Obviously, we'd love to have Joey back this year, but things didn't happen that way. We just have to get over it and move on." Harris did not attend the team's media day event Thursday.

Main stands and balconies, 33 Horseshoe, 17 I wish the prices would be at least double for opposing teams fans coming into our house.

It's amazing how much a seatbelt can do. Why people don't wear them is a mystery to me.

Well then someone f***ed up (doubtless the same person that traded Foulke for Koch). The Sox front office has limited baseball knowledge, as far as I can tell. And there is the separation. I don't think the bigwigs behind the scenes for the Sox really have any idea what they're doing (at least they're playing Crede regularly). You, apparently, like to think they're clued in on baseball. To each his own. And this little "rant" has absoletuly nothing to do with Cotts' MLB debut. Unless he threw a perfect game, I'd still say he should be in AA getting more seasoning. :fthecubs Works for me! Maybe he should get more seasoning. Ideally, you'd love to have that. But you have to try something, and if he's your next best option (another argument completely), you have to try it out instead of trotting out Wright every time if he keeps struggling. The Sox braintrust isn't the greatest, but all i'm saying is that they know things we both don't know and have seen him pitch many more times than both you and I (i'm assuming on your part)

No, but 35 walks in 65 innings apparently is I'd love to know how you think you know when a guy is ready for the majors. It's not an exact science. If it was you'd never, ever see guys have bad first outings would you. I also didn't know one start is enough to determine whether or not he's ready Man, you're just not listening. The guy's just not ready. How anyone could have thought he was ready with all those walks is ridiculous. I don't know where you recall me saying Dan Wright is anything special, all I've said is he's better than Neal Cotts right now. You're the one that's been throwing around words like "phenomenal," etc. Wright is nothing. Cotts is less than nothing (as an MLB pitcher right now). Get it yet? Why must everyone make stuff that's so easy into quantum physics? And you said "how "anyone" could have thought he was ready with all those walks.........." Well, looks like you know more than KW and the entire minor league coaching staff. Obvioiusly, someone thought he was ready, which means more than both yours and my opinion

Why must everyone make stuff that's so easy into quantum physics? So he has some walks. So does Danny Wright. After last night, he may not be ready. But how in the hell would you know that unless you let him pitch here? Like i already said, it's not a science. He freaked out yesterday, anyone could see that. When looking at Cotts for the 5 job you have to look at Wright, because that's the alternative. If Wright sucks, you have to try to find some sort of answer for the 5th starter.

Dan Wright? #1 starter? Your words, not mine. Wright > Cotts... Anyone could have told you that well before Cotts' SIX WALK-MLB debut. Why is that such a hard concept to beat into your skull? I never said I love Wright, just if I had to pick between him an a AA starter not ready for the bigs, the choice should obvious. If i had to choose between Wright, who i've seen all year, and a AA guy with phenomenal numbers, i think i'd at least give the AA guy, who started the futures game (for a reason), a chance "not being ready for mlb" has been said about many a guys, and many times it's been wrong.

I'm sorry, but I didn't make that thread. So don't get on me. For someone else's poor work. by the way, if you couldn't tell, I was joking with the walks thing. You didn't make it but you have sure been defending it You are so wrong in that. I'm not at all defending the title, I do disagree with some of the points he made. I do think that alot of people have been acting like the guy threw a shutout though. I have no problem with Neal, AT ALL. All I'm saying is he had a bad game, yesterday. Period. Soemone try and tell me he did not. People who said he had a good start are wrong Criticize him all you want But to start a "f*** you neal cotts" thread, or anyone for that matter, whether they post here or not, is just wrong IMO I agree with you on this. Why are you bustin' my balls on it. I didn't create, nor have I ever said it. I guess i don't agree with you calling CLEE a dumbass or calling players bastards either And maybe Cotts should have a "double standard" because it was indeed his first major league start It just seemed to me that in your earlier posts, you didn't have a problem with the thread title. If you do, then fine

Good point. I hate to start something.. but I do absolutely positively hate that little guy.. Which is why I brought along this one --> :finger and had it added to the smileys. A lot less threatening, IMO. Just my $0.02... Agreed You could just do this also :fyou

Oh yeah, and Danny Wright is the answer? Hindsight is 20/20 Um, if you watched the game, you may have noticed Danny Wright pitched about 1000x better than Neal. And I've been on the "Don't bring Cotts up" bandwagon for a while now. The guy's a nothing right now, needs to work in the minors... No sense in rushing a kid who could have a bright future when Dan Wright can't pitch any more miserably than he did. Um, if you would have watched the game you would have noticed he came in in relief And if you've watched sox baseball all season (or even just recently) you'd notice how danny wright has gotten smacked around as a starter...and got his first friggin win last night for crying out loud Should we make Wright our number 1 starter now too?

I'm sorry but you are completely and utterly wrong You don't start threads that say "f*** so and so" SS2k3 is right when he says criticize them all you want, but if you want to start threads like that with stupid insults, go find the espn boards or something That, and grow up

Lay off him he's mine I can share... Ok, but I don't want Koch This's sloppy seconds! Hmmm.. a 4 some. Me and 3 girls, yes Anything else, no

That's not a bad score I disagree with the 7th inning stretch, esp when he compares it to Wrigley's, which is a joke and a half.

Basically the kid freaked out and s*** his pants especially in the 3rd inning. Oh well, it happens. It's certainly not unexpected. I did see some signs i liked, which is what you look for when you are seeing a pitcher for the first time, which many of us were. He had some life, some movement on that fastball. His breaking stuff was pretty consistent. He didn't go at hitters as much as i would have liked...probly didn't want too make too many mistakes and give up gophers balls. Didn't trust his stuff enough probably. So instead of laying balls in he was nibbling and hoping batters took some bad swings. He realized most mlb guys don't do that, and he'll learn from the experience. I also think it was good that the Sox won, taking the weight off of Cotts' back and not making him feel like he cost the Sox a game while chasing down the Royals. Anyone who gives up on this kid, or says "f*** neal cotts" is ridiculous IMO. You can't say he had a great start last night, but one start does not a career make

Ha, i meant to go find this thread and sign up, thanks for posting it here That being said, i'll read the thread and sign up later Just to warn ya that Champ and I are gonna be the JR and TA of the league... Let's talk about picnic in the park with blah blah blah Why do the stations obsess with showing the interviews? I can hear what the hell they are saying, which is what matters. I don't care to look at them. On the other hand, you have to see the baseball game to know what's going on (considering we are listening to an interview and crowd noise). Pisses me off for sure
