QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 9, 2006 -> 10:00 PM) Our starting pitching sucks, as does our LF and CF position. If we can get some improvements from those positions, we're going to play better baseball. Its so disheartening for our 2-6 guys to do their job and get on base. Then to know that the next 4 guys are rallys killers waiting to happen. Once in a blue moon you can get something out of them offensively. At least BA can hold his own in CF usually.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 9, 2006 -> 09:56 PM) The White Sox bullpen has been used less than ANY bullpen in baseball. Leaving Garland in to give up another hit, and then yanking him saves the bullpen exactly NOTHING. They still have to get the same amount of outs. Its time Ozzie stops thinking about saving his underused bullpen, and start thinking about saving the White Sox playoff chances. Would you say that he was playing for the playoffs last night, using Jenks for 2-2/3 innings? I think he does think about it. It just comes down to our starters not performing. We can't expect to score 6-9 runs a game every game.

Out of curiosity, when was the last time Rivera blew two saves in a row? I would have loved to have heard about that tomorrow here in New York radio. Unfortunately, I have to hear about some dramatic, nail biting win by the Yankees.

Bases loaded, nobody out. You need at least one, if not two. AJP had a couple of chances and came up short.

Here's a blast from the past. Not sure who has read Page2 today but they had a link to this old Bo Jackson highlight reel. Forgot about the segment at 7:22. Nice. Bo Knows Happy watching.

QUOTE(Big Hurtin @ Jun 25, 2006 -> 03:30 PM) Does anyone think they'll have both games on Directv, one via one of the alternate ESPN channels? My guide still has "to be announced" on those channels. Apparently, the Sox game is still going to be broadcast nationally on ESPN HD. Not even EastCoastSPN can get HD cameras there that fast.

QUOTE(klaus kinski @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 08:04 PM) Isnt Wiretap just for MAC users? Probably but I'm sure there is something for PC as well.

Thanks guys. Actually, I found a program called Wiretap that I can record the audio from. I can finally burn them and keep them!

Does anybody know of where I could find a copy of the radio calls for the World Series? If it isn't included already, I would think it would be cool if they had included the radio calls as an extra feature on the dvd set. Sort of like listening to the directors commentary except Rooney and Farmer. I apologize if this has been discussed already but I couldn't find it anywhere. Thanks!

So if I am in New York with DirecTV, will I be able to get the games next year on Comcast Sports Net Chicago? I'm a little confused.

QUOTE(RyGuy22 @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 10:38 PM) I know this doesnt really relate to this thread, but I was just wondering if MLB.com members can download games onto there computer. I didnt tape the game tonight and this is one I definately want to have forever. Yep. If you have a PC, its $4 for the whole game.

QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 08:15 PM) and I had had about 4 Jack's on the rocks when freaking Marte walks the bases loaded. I end up listening to the final out in my driveway. Anyone else have good stories about the emotional swing that inning? Not as much an emotional swing but more of a cold sweat and a deep sigh of relief. But I'm glad I wasn't on the road near you on your way home . . . . -
QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Oct 9, 2005 -> 08:53 PM) Great story from a great newspaper. Former, yes. Latter, eh . . . . Thanks for the great story though. Nice read.

QUOTE(Felix @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 02:54 PM) Thats probably better news for the Sox then if this series goes 5 games. Either team that wins would have less rest, and their #1 starter probably wouldnt be starting an early game of the ALCS (although they probably wouldnt anyway) Especially since Colon might start Game 4 tomorrow.

Hey guys, question for any of you with some computer savvy. I just downloaded Game 3 DDS from Mlb.com. I want to be able to burn it to a dvd to play on a regular dvd player but it has that DRM on it. Does anyone know how to convert these files over to MPEG2 or any other burnable format? PM if you have any info. Thanks!

Consistantly during the series, AJ kept our pitchers heads in the games and don't forget: He was the second part of the battery tonight with El Duque and did a great job getting OH to throw some of those huge breaking balls. He had a great offensive series but he easily had the best ALL-AROUND performance of anybody on the team.

whoever gave that link to the bosox forum

QUOTE(Gldfinger5 @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 08:30 PM) This has to be the most amusing thing I have ever read. This bigwow is hilarious with his nonsense. http://forums.espn.go.com/espn/thread?foru...236&sortBy=null Gets real tiring real fast. What a tool. -
Good luck guys. (you guys too) I'll be at the game, look for me at tall foul balls down the third base line. GO GO WHITE SOX!!!!
