  1. A part of me is very interested to see how ugly a Hillary vs Trump election would get. But then when you realize one of them is/will end up being the president its a lot less fun. Its pretty frustrating that these are the front runners to be president and that we dont have a better option.
  2. Also, Ted Cruz trying to be a martyr is cute. It was all fun and games when his super pac was posting a nude picture of Trumps wife.
  3. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 24, 2016 -> 05:20 PM) That wasn't the theory behind these polls. Also, I find Trump a "disgusting" human being. Things like his tweet about Ted Cruz' wife are pathetic and take our country backwards not forwards. Is there anything about how he treats people that anyone would want to have there son or daughter exhibit? I certainly don't. When the person running for president can't be someone your kids would look up to, they shouldn't be running for president, let alone be a front-runner. And yes, in my opinion, that statement also relates to Hillary but far less so than it relates to Trump. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/images-worth...-063350172.html I wasnt defending Trump, I actually said I cant stand him and wouldnt vote for him. I just dont think its right for the republicans to pick whatever candidate they want if the votes say otherwise.
  4. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 24, 2016 -> 04:41 PM) Winning a primary is so different than winning an election. Kasich would crush Hillary and every poll out there shows it. In a general election, you win by the swing votes, you don't win because of your base votes, and the swing votes would handily go to Kasich. I don't know whether Cruz wins and I'm most certain that Trump loses or at least I hope he does cause I absolutely am convinced he's the most likely candidate to ruin or country. If Kasich gets the nomination despite being in a distant third in delegates than there will likely be a lot of republicans staying home on election day. Unless Trump runs as an independent in which case Hillary will win in a landslide. I just dont see enough support for Kasich unless for some reason Bernies supporters all jumped on board to spite Hillary. I chose not to vote in the Illinois primary because I cant stand any of the republican candidates, but if the GOP establishment takes the nomination out of the hands of the primary voters Ill probably never vote for a republican again unless there are major changes in the party.
  5. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Mar 24, 2016 -> 03:14 PM) New FOX News poll out today. In hypothetical November matchups, Kasich beats Clinton 51-40, Cruz beats Clinton 47-44, Clinton beats Trump 49-38. All the Trump voters just handing the election right over to Hillary. Kasich and Cruz would be destroyed by Hillary, theyre getting destroyed by Trump ffs.
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 23, 2016 -> 06:23 PM) I have been checking it out. I am curious how much of that stuff really happened, because a couple of those incidents are pretty hard core, especially between Cochran and the AA ADA. Ya, the way the got the prosecution to ask OJ to try on the glove for them was good.
  7. Im really enjoying American Crime Story. Im not thrilled with Travolta or Cuba's performances but overall its very interesting. All of the Cochran/Clark moments the past few episodes have been great.
  8. QUOTE (Reddy @ Mar 19, 2016 -> 02:08 PM) I'll just leave this here... This is incredible lol
  9. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 09:49 PM) @adamschefter Ravens' CB Tray Walker is in critical condition after being involved in a serious motorbike accident in Southeast Florida. Apparently he just passed away.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 18, 2016 -> 02:52 PM) https://mobile.twitter.com/scottmerkin/stat...916143373012992 LaRoche ain't coming back if he already talked to JR. Also probably means they won't allow kids in clubhouse. So now Chris Sale isnt allowed in the clubhouse anymore either?
  11. It would be great if Sale and Eaton handled this as well as LaRoche seemingly is in that letter. Him calling out Kenny is interesting, and if what he is saying is true they absolutely need to get rid of Kenny.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 18, 2016 -> 01:03 PM) Adam Hoge ‏@AdamHoge 6m6 minutes ago Chris Sale: "We have a much bigger problem on our hands than Kenny coming in here and kicking out a kid and LaRoche retiring." Sounds like Sale thinks we need to go after Danks next.
  13. They need to have a press conference and say this story got out of hand and its actually the rapper Drake is now banned from the Raptors locker room.
  14. QUOTE (bighurt574 @ Mar 18, 2016 -> 12:10 PM) That's not really what Eaton said. He said there was an agreement. He didn't say it was in writing, unless I missed it. Obviously, you can have oral contracts too. They're just harder to enforce. If there is a provision in the written contract, I doubt it gives LaRoche unlimited discretion in that regard. That would be sort of foolish for the Sox to agree to. Bob NightengaleVerified account ‏@BNightengale 1h1 hour ago Player rep Adam Eaton said Adam LaRoche had clause in contract to allow son and players union now involved #whitesox Thats sure what it sounds like he is saying to me.
  15. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 18, 2016 -> 11:58 AM) See what Hahn and Robin say. They have been awfully quiet. Doesn't Hahn negotiate contracts? It's funny you are trying to nail me into a wall. What if it is in his contract? Are you going to admit KW was out of bounds? What does it matter what they say? Eaton, the player rep and vocal defender of LaRoche said LaRoche told him its written in the contract. If it is, get rid of KW and admit they made a mistake, if it isnt LaRoche is caught lying and his credibility is gone. KW has already stated its not in his contract. One of them is lying and we have a way to find out who when the details of the contract are eventually exposed. LaRoches camp may have made a grave mistake by saying it was written in his contract instead of sticking to the hand shake deal that could never be proven. And yes, if it is in the contract not only is KW out of bounds he needs to be fired and held accountable for whatever laws he violated.
  16. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 18, 2016 -> 11:53 AM) If it isn't in the contract, and there was no handshake agreement, absolutely. Well Eaton said he was told by LaRoche that it was in the contract so there would be no need for a hand shake deal. If it isnt in the contract that means either Eaton or LaRoche is lying(likely LaRoche) so why should we believe him if he said there was a handshake deal after that?
  17. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 18, 2016 -> 11:45 AM) I don't think he should be fired for that, but if it is in LaRoche's contract, IMO, that is an offense where he needs to go. Messing with obligations with player contracts, whether financial or otherwise, would be a gigantic problem. If it turns out it isnt in his contract, since Eaton now claims it is, are you going to admit LaRoche is wrong here?
  18. When the Sox meet the Cubs in the World Series this year it will all have been worth it. Well played White Sox.
  19. Maybe its about time we hired Nolan Ryan as a consultant to toughen Robin up.
  20. This is a lose/lose situation for the front office when they address the media. They have to decide whether theyre going to: Admit they promised Drake access and say the front office decided independently it was too much. Which will make them look like assholes. They can say unnamed players requested KW to talk to Adam about bringing the kid around less. Which is going to make Drake feel worse than he already does, knowing that he wasnt wanted around the clubhouse by other players. Or they can just tell the truth and say x and y player came to me and said they didnt feel the clubhouse was an environment for a kid to be around 100% of the time. Just telling the truth would have the same results with letting Drake publicly and officially know he wasnt wanted around all the time by multiple players and coaches, and would make the front office look like theyre rolling on the players to save their own ass. Its not hard to understand why the front office hasnt commented further when you figure that just telling the truth will probably have the worst repercussions and will leave pretty much everyone involved looking absolutely terrible.
  21. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 18, 2016 -> 09:25 AM) We can go through this all day again, but a deal is a deal. Ask JR with Horace Grant. Horace made a verbal deal with him and "things changed". JR questioned his character. A deal is a deal, even if it's a bad deal. If Hahn and Robin gave their word, KW needs to honor that, not succumb to the wishes of some guy here on a minor league contract. Heres that if that youve been using as the base for your whole argument for 2 days that still hasnt been even remotely confirmed by anyone credible. At this point, if this isnt WRITTEN in his contract he needs to stfu and good riddance.
  22. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 07:12 PM) Rosenthal mentioned Kaplan and said 2 other sources said there was a verbal agreement. The only credible sources are likely KW, LaRoche and probably LaRoches agent. People making assumptions is why this is such a mess in the first place.
  23. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 07:06 PM) I think the guys dad an ex big leaguer and coach is a pretty reliable source.and the report that Hahn and Ventura didn't agree with KW lines up with that as well. Unless his dad was there when the contract was signed on what planet is that a reliable source? Wtf is his dad gonna say?
  24. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 06:54 PM) I wouldn't go running to Kenny. And If someone did complain to Kenny, he should have said as a condition of him signing, the GM and manager green lighted his access. There is nothing he can do now, he can change the rules next year. The kid is a good kid, just deal with it, and do your job.i You keep using this as an argument when its been stated time and time again that nobody credible has confirmed if this kid was guaranteed 100% access at all times as a condition of LaRoche signing here. Youre making an enormous assumption because it fits your narrative but in reality if it isnt in the contract or if LaRoche doesnt publicly state that this was guaranteed to him and by whom your argument is pretty much useless. Hell, even if LaRoche tries to make the claim and Kenny denies it then we will never know the truth, but if it isnt in the contract (which I severely doubt it is) then its not gonna matter anyway.
  25. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 01:07 PM) LaRoche's father, and whoever Kaplan talked to, which could be the same source. So no
