  1. Keep Langford and lose a 15th rounder or Brandon Marshall and lose a 5th rounder in a ppr?
  2. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 4, 2016 -> 10:52 AM) Comparing Harry S. Truman's financial situation in 1952 to the extremely complicated, globalized financial world of today is equally irrelevant imo. Obviously you have an axe to grind on this issue like Greg with Hillary. Good luck finding a receptive audience. There's 40-45% of the US who hate the Clintons and another 50-60% who hate Trump. Nobody's going tonchange their mind on that family with 35+ years of public information to sift through. Hopefully you can find someone else to debate Harry Truman with you.
  3. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 4, 2016 -> 10:32 AM) But how many former presidents have ever run a worldwide charity after leaving office? Carter never ran Habitat for Humanity. Harry Truman was a farmer who never cared about the trappings of office, so the pension was a lifesaver. Certainly the Founding Fathers never conceived of the dollar figures of today...or even projecting from the standard of living in the 1950's compared to today. Same for Nixon as well, although that's another debate. Every single post youve made is completely irrelevant to what Im talking about. I know you want to move the conversation to something you can argue about but Im not interested.
  4. This is what Im talking about, as I posted this in my first post about this topic.
  5. Theyre using tax dollars from a fund designed to "keep former presidents out of the poor house" to pay part of the salaries of the foundations employees despite that they are dealing in hundreds of millions of dollars annually and are already using the majority of the foundations money to pay salaries and travel. If you think that is appropriate, fine. I dont.
  6. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 4, 2016 -> 08:47 AM) Once again, where is this "billions" of dollars coming from? I hope you're not adding in Gates and Buffett because they have cooperated/collaborated with the Clinton Global Heath Initiative in the past...because the total endowment is significant but only in the hundreds of millions. Uber is theoretically worth $39 billion. For what it's worth, I actually read two of the anti-Clinton Foundation books and I'm not a huge fan of Hillary, but there's a key difference between illegal and unseemly. Both of them are lawyers, they've always managed to straddle the line for 35+ years. You need to read what I said for the third time. Im not trying to argue semantics. Its about using tax payer money to help pay employees. Why is that so hard for you to understand?
  7. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 3, 2016 -> 11:38 PM) Billions? C'mon, it's a drop in the bucket compared to Apple's tax bill. https://www.glassdoor.com/Salary/Clinton-Fo...ies-E230271.htm What top execs are making over $500,000 per year? There's also no way you can come close to substantiating that 90%. You'd be better off targeting DiCaprio's charity. https://www.theguardian.com/film/2016/aug/3...harity-malaysia QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Sep 1, 2016 -> 04:12 PM) I dont have any interest in arguing semantics on whether or not you think paying for first class travel accommodations should count as going towards charitable work. My point is, considering all of the controversy involved with this charity, is that its irresponsible to use tax payer money to pay the salaries of a not for profit organization that is dealing in billions of dollars.
  8. Per @RapSheet, the Bears are signing Kyle Long to a 4-year extension worth $40 million with $30 million guaranteed.
  9. You dont have to support him but its wrong to not support his right to protest.
  10. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Sep 1, 2016 -> 04:21 PM) It's certainly his right to protest, but it's going to accomplish nothing. At this point, this move really isn't going to add much awareness to the underlying issue. Would be nice to see more celebrities invest their time & money in their communities and attempt to drive some actual change, no matter how small that may be. I'll give credits to guys like Snoop Dogg & Game for at least trying something tangible when it comes to citizen-police relations rather than just stating the obvious. Ya I agree. Im certainly not giving him any credit for doing it, its a pretty empty gesture for someone with his money. I just think its wrong for people to claim he shouldnt have the right to do it, not that that was what you personally were saying.
  11. QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Sep 1, 2016 -> 03:45 PM) According to CharityWatch, the foundation spends 88% of its money on programs and only 12% on overhead. Where are you getting 90% from? http://nypost.com/2015/04/26/charity-watch...n-a-slush-fund/ I dont have any interest in arguing semantics on whether or not you think paying for first class travel accommodations should count as going towards charitable work. My point is, considering all of the controversy involved with this charity, is that its irresponsible to use tax payer money to pay the salaries of a not for profit organization that is dealing in billions of dollars.
  12. I probably shouldnt be surprised but I think a lot of people are making too big a deal about this. Clearly nothing will change because he refuses to stand for the national anthem but its certainly his right to protest.
  13. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 1, 2016 -> 01:14 PM) It's money made available to former presidents and he's using it on his charity foundation. It's not a scandal. I never said it was a scandal. I just stated my opinion that it looks bad for a former president, who also happens to be a multimillionaire, to use tax dollars to help pay salaries of employees of a not for profit that brings in billions of dollars and uses 90% of it on expenses, salaries and travel. The top executives of the Clinton Foundation make over 500k per year and we need to use tax dollars to help pay for it?
  14. Sorry, I dont think its a good idea for multimillionaires to use tax dollars to supplement the salaries of the executives at the Clinton Foundation who are already making hundreds of thousands of dollars.
  15. Bill Clinton used tax dollars to subsidize foundation, private email support Program for ex-presidents paid salaries and benefits to Clinton aides at the center of controversies.
  16. What if I got crazy and tried to say The Night of?
  17. Anthony Weiner got out of his cage again.
  18. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Aug 19, 2016 -> 08:15 AM) Anyone else watching this walking thing? lol They've been speed walking for 2 hours! Didnt watch it but saw on twitter that the leader had s*** himself and was still going and was using a sponge to clean it up as he was going. Theres videos of it if youre into that kind of stuff, not that theres anything wrong with that.
  19. Madden early release is out. Seems pretty similar to last year except with some new control over moves when running with the ball. Kevin White is rated lower than Eddie Royal
  20. He probably just meant he was gonna use his 2nd amendment right and not vote for her
  21. Im pretty pumped for Mafia 3 in 2 months.
  22. QUOTE (raBBit @ Aug 14, 2016 -> 08:13 PM) I'm going to Denver with the lady the week after this. Unfortunately, the Rockies are out of town but were there for four days. We're staying in a AirBnB house in the Indian Creek neighborhood. I know we'll hit up at least one brewery and go hiking another day but any other suggestions or shared experiences would be appreciated. Denver Biscuit Company is a great spot for breakfast. At night it turns into a new york style pizza place/bar that is pretty good too.
  23. Ya I just saw a banner ad for it on my fire stick homescreen so I guess I can use at least test it out with the stick. Thanks for the info everyone.
