QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Sep 14, 2016 -> 04:35 PM) Any context for what "hits" are in this email? Surely I'm not supposed to believe that Fox News including Bill O'Reilly are in the pocket of the DNC. Id imagine it just means the talking points are settled on in advance

QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 14, 2016 -> 04:29 PM) If you can't prove impropriety after hacking the communications of an org and then just saying it's "implied" then that is the most incredible execution I could imagine. A full org, never putting anything to paper, executing a grand strategy to pull wool over the eyes of the country. I'd like to know what people think would happen if they took your work organizations emails with the assumption you did something wrong. And took every out of context phrase or frustration and assigned absolute malice to it. You would be the guiltiest person of all guilty. These are remarkably tame. Im not an expert in this stuff so of course Im not gonna be the one to find a smoking gun, but to act like this stuff isnt relevant is kind of ridiculous. Is it that big of a deal to you that people discuss this because youre a Clinton fan?

http://projectpurge.com/article/updating-n...nsider-trading/ Please dont shoot the messenger with this source, I know its awful and its from a Trump fan but it was easier than trying to copy and paste numerous tweets and at least most of the stuff is in the same place. I admittedly dont know enough about a lot of this stuff to know how good/bad the information is so I am kind of at the mercy of random internet people. Hopefully some of you guys can give us a better idea if there is anything of substance in here. I got a lot of info from a guy breaking it down on periscope last night and he went into a lot more detail than this link but I have no idea how to find that.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 14, 2016 -> 04:20 PM) If you're referring to those emails last night you posted, the "pay to play" was a term of art for the sec financial regulations and not what you're thinking. What's the election fraud reference? I was talking about handing out Ambassador jobs to the highest bidder for pay to play. Ill try to find some stuff about election fraud but unless the media picks it up all that will likely be out there is other people interpretations, which is why I said implied instead of a smoking gun.

Also, Im not trying to make this partisan. I dont for one second think the GOP isnt doing this s*** too. Im just surprised it doesnt bother more people. This system is so rigged and it is only going to get worse. There are some pretty serious claims of insider trading, pay to play and election fraud implied in these leaks and we cant even get the media to investigate it because they are also implicated.

QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 14, 2016 -> 03:42 PM) Most of her slump is dems being demoralized. Typically rebounds when she "fights" back. Not sure you are right. The polls have taken a major shift since she abandoned discussing policy and exclusively goes after Trump. We havent even seen what Assange has yet. Im sure Ill get ridiculed for saying this but unless Trump does something devastating he is gonna win. Hes up 5 in Ohio, 2 in Florida and Nevada and these polls arent even affected by the dnc leaks yet. She's essentially running the exact campaign most people thought Trump would try to run. All of her IT guys pleading the 5th certainly doesnt help either, and Cooper admitted he had full access to her server without clearance. Realistically the only outcome of this election that wouldnt be upsetting is if the dems replace Hillary with Bernie. I loath every aspect of his politics but at least he isnt involved in the mass corruption going on. These hackers need to get GOP emails or something and blow this whole system up.
-
Im not sure if Hillary's strategy today is a good idea. She is accusing Trump of some serious stuff, likely some of it is true, however its all stuff that she has been implicated with too. Going after his charity and saying business deal with foreign entities could become a conflict for him. I know she's slumping pretty bad but shining a larger light on stuff that she is also doing doesnt seem like the best idea to me.
-
I really wish they had the same info from the republicans. Id like to see how much shady s*** they do too. Politics in this country have gotten so bad that most people are just chalking most of this corruption up to business as usual in Washington. The media wont even mention any of the leaked emails except for the Colin Powell ones where he criticized Trump. We need a reset button for American politics because this has gotten way out of control. However I at least got an lol out of this one

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 14, 2016 -> 12:51 PM) Looks like those have FEC filing numbers associated so not really new information? If it's an FEC filing it's been public since it's been filed. Its still ridiculous no mater when it happened

USPS and Treasury department donating to the DNC, likely with tax payer money.

This is gonna be really bad for Obama too.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 14, 2016 -> 12:31 AM) That particular email has Google hits back to July, not really seeing any Google news links with anything all that negative right now? I just got it off twitter. I should probably just wait till tomorrow and Im sure everything will be all over.

There is a lot more. These emails are the worst thing by far that has happened to Hillary.

Found this on Reddit

These new Guccifer email leaks are going to be an issue for the democrats.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 13, 2016 -> 12:29 PM) He's doing it the wrong way, offending the military. The military fights to protect his right to protest and lots of military personnel have said they supported Kaepernick. To try and assign offense to the military as a civilian is the most offensive part of your post.

QUOTE (raBBit @ Sep 11, 2016 -> 11:23 PM) You were right greg. Her pneumonia wasn't the bad case where you're on bed rest. My mom had pneumonia once, she ended up in the hospital. Oddly enough, it's how she met my dad. That's a bad case. Hillary's got better quick. Here she is sometime after she left an event after fainting due to pneumonia later: "I feel great." Between stuff like this and Bill Clinton telling people at a rally that Make America Great Again is a racist term even though there are videos of him using it in three different campaigns, she is some how managing to Out-Trump, Trump.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 11, 2016 -> 08:02 AM) I don't see how one remark she quickly apologized for equates to the last 18 months of Trump. That sort of false equivalency is dangerous. My opinion of her isnt just from that. Attacking the women who accused Bill of rape and sexual assault is something I dont think is really forgivable for a politician.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 11, 2016 -> 07:54 AM) So Trump=Clinton, well, just because they've been trying to nail her for 38 years. Must be frustrating. The fact that people are realizing Hillary is just as vile as Donald Trump is quite refreshing actually.

You cant go back from a plus

QUOTE (illinilaw08 @ Sep 10, 2016 -> 10:07 PM) Yep. Because Trump clearly isn't appealing to a white nationalist demographic that is unprecedented in my lifetime. But both side amirite... Nobody is defending Trump though.

Anyone watching The Circus on Showtime? I just found out about it and have binged through most of it. Its like Hard Knocks election edition, its pretty good so far.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 10, 2016 -> 05:32 PM) I don't think anyone is accusing you of supporting Trump, db. You've been pretty clear on that before many times. I don't see anyone attacking you here like that, and I apologize if my post came across like that. And you're probably not wrong about this being a politically damaging thing for her to have said. She's already backed off and apologized likely for that very reason. What I'm saying is that she isn't wrong to say that a sizeable chunk of the support for Trump is for deplorable reasons if not people who are irredeemably deplorable. Watch nyt video of supporters at his rallies, look at the alt right types who support him, look how many of his supporters think Obama is a Kenyan Muslim. It feels like some of the reaction to this is that it's worse to call someone racist than it is to actually be racist. But you're also right that, really, this isn't the thread for that even if those de facto rules have broken down in both threads lately. Fair enough. There are certainly a large portion of his supporters who are pretty s***ty. I dont know why this just really bothered me. As far as I know I dont think Trump has even stooped low enough to criticize Hillary's supporters. The word irredeemable is just such a horrible thing to call people that youre trying to govern. My post probably came off worse than I meant it to. In all honesty I am so enthralled in this election I love discussing it with knowledgeable people, which Soxtalk as a lot of, but it just seems like a lot of people have been posting less because people on both sides (myself obviously included) are quick to jump on others with differing opinions. With how bats*** insane this election is it would be nice if everyone was more comfortable discussing things without fear of backlash. I mean we have 4 of the absolute worst presidential candidates running (5 if you include Evan McMullin lol) and Im hoping as we get closer to the election there is more civil discussion because twitter is making my eyes bleed.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 10, 2016 -> 04:04 PM) It may nor have been politically correct, but look at the poll results for people who support Trump. This is a guy who started off his campaign by calling Mexican immigrants murderers and rapists, and before that he was the leading birther in the country. White nationalism forms a significant core for him. The difference is Im not defending the things Trump says because I agree that theyre wrong. Democrats rallying to defend this is so hypocritical its almost surreal. If these candidates want to call each other every name in the book thats one thing but to say 10s of millions of American citizens are deplorable and say theyre irredeemable is actually a new low for this entire election. Hillary's campaign is now no better than Trump's. Before I get anymore "but but but Trump" you need to realize there is an entire thread of people going at Trump for everything from his alleged mob ties to him being a Russian operative and you dont see people in there trying to defend him, so coming in here and trying to discredit any criticism of Hillary is pretty ridiculous. I dont like Trump and I dont like Hillary and I criticize both of them. But what Hillary said was pretty terrible, extremely hypocritical and is likely going to really sting her in the polls and we should be allowed to discuss it without people treating us like were brain dead Trump supporters.
