In some instances Police officers can be some of the most corrupt people out there, especially in big cities like Chicago. I wouldnt be too surprised if this guy didnt get jail time.

Falcons to trade QB Schaub to Texans
DrunkBomber replied to DrunkBomber's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
When I was mentioning Brady I wasnt comparing him to Russell. To be honest I dont think hes gonna be good either. As far as the MSU comeback, they shouldnt of gotten into that position against such a garbage team. -
Falcons to trade QB Schaub to Texans

Quinn also has a knack for disappearing in big games. He was in a pro style offense and played a weak schedule and only feasted on poor teams. Whichever team drafts him is gonna be in for a rude awakening, hes not a pro quarterback...IMO -
Link heres a house in Detroit for $175. The estimated mortgage is $1 per month. It has fire damage but the land alone has to be worth more than that

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 21, 2007 -> 01:15 PM) Except he has a huge contract and is a horrible cover saftey. The Bears only got to pay him 8 million over 3 years. Thats not bad.

http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/story/10078226 By day's end, the Atlanta Falcons will trade backup quarterback Matt Schaub to the Houston Texans, according to NFL sources. The Texans will surrender a second-round draft pick, and there could be other compensation involved. The trade has massive ramifications. The Texans have their quarterback of the future, which David Carr no longer is. The Falcons are reaffirming their faith in Michael Vick, who now also needs a new backup. And the Texans are out of the Brady Quinn derby, leaving the Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns, Minnesota Vikings and Miami Dolphins as possible landing spots. The trade, once officially completed, validates the Falcons' commitment to Vick, whom new Atlanta head coach Bobby Petrino told the first time they met, "You're my guy." Since then, Petrino and Vick have been working together closely on an almost daily basis, prepping for the coming season. The Falcons, who quietly had been entertaining offers for Schaub this offseason, had tendered their backup quarterback a $2 million offer, meaning that any team that signed him to an offer sheet would have to surrender first- and third-round draft choices to the Falcons. Of course, the Falcons also could always trade Schaub, and that is the course of action the team has pursued. The Texans will be acquiring a quarterback that has thrown only 161 career passes, 81 of which were completed, with six touchdown passes and six interceptions. But Schaub long has been considered a quarterback worthy of starting, and he was the top bargaining chip the Falcons have. Now they've decided to cash it in.

The best pitched inning in Sox history/Your thoughts
DrunkBomber replied to StatManDu's topic in Pale Hose Talk
My vote has to go to El Duque as well. If not that then you can look at any of the complete games during the playoffs too. It does seem close minded to assume it had to be from the 05 season but IMO it has to be. -
Thats awesome. I cant wait to see this. Im curious to see what other types of predators they go after.

Some writer from New York reported on Cold Pizza today that he believes the Bears are gonna cut Brown because of this trade. I really hope that isnt the case.
-
Its hard to say what this team is gonna do. Some of our pitchers are coming off of really bad years. Some of our lineup had career highs last year and some had career lows. We also dont know what well get out of our 5th starter. We have the talent there, we need to see how it comes together. This is a hard team to predict without seeing them during the season.

QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ Mar 19, 2007 -> 08:44 PM) Don't look for Felix or me to post that one -- that was for Michigan against Minnesota. Oh, what the hell. Thats what Im talking about.

QUOTE(southsideirish @ Mar 20, 2007 -> 09:36 PM) I am hoping to replace Briggs. We can turn Briggs into a first round pick and have Archuleta play outside linebacker and not miss a beat. That is my opinion anyway. I dont think we needed Archuleta to pull the trigger if somebody offered us a first rounder for Briggs at this point.
-
Do you guys see him playing linebacker to replace Briggs or backup or what? I would only think he would play LB in an emergency.
-
This doesnt mean anything about the Bears parting ways with Brown. Brown controls his own destiny and that means he better not get injured this year. AA was supposedly brought in to be a back up and play special teams but I guarantee that they are gonna have some packages with him and Brown on the field. Brown came into the league as a FS when we had Parrish and those two are the best safeties we got so dont be surprised if theyre on the field at the same time. The linebacker thing is interesting but that may be an idea they have. Im just glad we have a veteran who has been to pro bowls, who already knows the defense added to our roster. This gives us so many more possibilities for the draft.

Theres a lot of casual fans that only watch the tournament because of their pools. The Super Bowl is like someone said, more of an event and a show that almost the whole nation is watching that Sunday and its relatively become a national holiday.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 19, 2007 -> 05:48 PM) Intervention because the ending is always, 3 weeks later she broke out of rehab and is whoring herself for smack. Also paradise hotel. I actually liked Paradise Hotel when it was on which was weird because I normally hate shows like that.

I still think that goal a few years ago where the kid picked up the puck with his stick and wrapped around the goal and flung it in was by far the best Ive ever seen.
