  1. if anyone here is really good with photoshop and could design something for me if I gave them my ideas it would be greatly appreciated
  2. great reply and nice work representing the white sox on the east coast. I mean I know espn does but it cant hurt to have more help
  3. QUOTE(SouthSidePride05 @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 04:23 PM) I've been reading and hearing a lot of people saying "it will never be the same, the first is always the most special and it loses importance after that".. I don't get why people think like this. To me, if we repeat, it'll even be better than this year. The more, the better! The sense of pride we'll have as Sox fans will be more with each title. I also want to witness a celebration in US Cellular Field. This year, we didn't clinch the division at home, and all the playoff series wins were away. I remember going to the clincher in '93, and I have to say it was louder and crazier than Game 1 of the World Series. After Game 1 of the World Series, the ramps (and the El) were actually quiet and not full of energy. After the '93 clincher, the ramps and parking lots were loud, electric, and chaotic.. i see what youre saying but I really just cant help but to feel like the first one will always be the best. I think the more you win the more fans will take it forgranted. When the Bulls were dominating in the 90s it was great but it doesnt compare to a lifetime thirst of at least A championship being quenched
  4. how much do you guys think the angels and other teams are gonna offer him. It was only espn 1000 but they make it sound like anaheim is gonna offer a lot.
  5. QUOTE(DABearSoX @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 09:05 PM) See the change of the logo thing ain't any problem...cause all sox fans will know who's logo it is. I told my friends that if the sox won the series this year I will finally get a tattoo. I am not a big fan, but I know this would be something I would not mind having on me the rest of my life...... my idea was the sox diagnol logo in the middle of a bears C. no stealing, ok fine but there will be someone else out there.... now i just have to think of where I am gonna get it...... thats funny that you put that, I was thinking about linking a sox and bears tatoo if the bears won the superbowl but I changed my mind. The sox mean way more to me and I want a constant reminder of this season
  6. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 04:03 PM) Heres mine: Don't get a tattoo...and learn how to spell it before you make any rash decisions. i wanted ideas on what the TATTOO should get like. Not your opinion on if I should get one or a spelling lesson.
  7. Im gonna get a sox tatoo on my arm so I can always remember 05. I want to incorporate something with this year and this specific team. any ideas?
  8. no respnse needed. If the situation were reversed a lot of us would be jealous of Cubs fans, maybe not to the point of his stupidity but who cares, nothing or no one can ever take this away from us.
  9. I posted something like this too. I feel EXACTLY the same way. The only difference is I realize even if they were to repeat and win next year it will never be the same. 2005 will always be special to sox fans. Im a huge Bears fan too but even with the little bit of success theyve been having lately, a super bowl couldnt even hold a candle to this.
  10. Im also gonna miss watching the games at bars, just knowing that everyone in there has something in common with you, and when there is a big play high fiving everyone, it was such a great experience.
  11. im glad it ended so now I can get my life back together, but I hate the what now feeling I have, I dont know what to do with myself.
  12. hopefully everything works out ok and you can still see the game. Good luck and GO SOX
  13. if you dont have a ticket for the games you cant go within 2 blocks of the stadium because they are worried about terrorist attacks. Me and my friends were planning on going to the parking lot to tailgate sunday. DOes anyone know if this means we cant , or can we get a parking pass or something

I went to a sold out game during the season against the yankees and was gonna try to scalp tickets but didnt wanna pay too much. We just walked up to the ticket counter and asked for anything and we got tickets that gave you access to any of the seating areas but you didnt have any seats. i think they were like 32 bux. I dont know about the world series though
  15. Im gonna be trying to get tickets tomorrow at noon and I was wondering if anyone had any tips to try and help me get through easier. I got tickets to the alcs through ticketmaster but my friend is the one who got them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  16. QUOTE(lukeman89 @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 09:13 PM) hey guys we still got rally crede he aint lying
  17. maybe just have marte pitch the whole game
  18. they were talking about how steinbrenner is complaining about the alcs not being pushed back and wilbon stated that if the situation were reversed noone would care because it was the white sox and not the yankees or red sox it was happening too
  19. ya, switch it to hsn, chicago and LA wouldnt be a big enough media market for people :puke
  20. some guy posted this on the bears message boards. It seems like he has to be joking but in all of his replies he is trying to defend his post, I figured it would be a way to have a good laugh The Bears haven't been doing very good for the past couple years and they may need to make some changes. The White Sox were the same way but as everyone knows they change everyone on their team and now they have the best record in the National League. Here is what I think that they should do before the season starts so that they can make the playoffs and maybe have the best record like the Sox. Here we go. 1. Trade Thomas Jones and Benson for either Tomlinson or Jamal Lewis. The Bears have a lot of running backs and the Chargers or the Bengals would probably like to have a 1-2 punch like the Bears have. Plus it will save the Bears a ton of Money by only having to pay one guy. 2. Get a vertran Qb. I know that we can't get a lot for Grossman since he's always been hurt but I think there a some teams that would trade for so they can let him heal up and give him some time to mature in their offense. A team like the Jets or the Jaguars might trade us Leftwhich or Pennington for maybe Grossman and one of our Wr's like Ford. 3. Get a new manager. I know that he didn't know that Grossman would get hurt, but Smith should have never let Grossman play more than 1 or 2 plays. He has played with the Bears for long enough where he doesn't really need any practicing that isn't necessary, especially if he could get hurt. Im all for letting him play most of the game in the regular season, but why does he need to play all that time in the pre season? I think that the we should try to get the manager from ND, that used to be on the Patriots. He coached at ND, and that is by Chicago, so Im sure he would pick a NFL team over a college team. 4. Run a different offense. Obviously this one isn't working, we never score any points. Instead of running the I form all the time, run a Shotgun 4 Wr, or the Stong, or Goalline. Anything but the iform. Im so sick of it as Im sure you guys are too. If we could accomplish all these things I am sure that our beloved Bears will be bringing home a championship this year.
  21. QUOTE(GasHeGone @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 06:45 PM) Just vote, dude. I'm sick of us sitting in the shadow of the East Coast Media Bias. How can we not be winning this poll? we gotta worry about the media in our own city let alone worry about the eas coast. either way we shouldnt care
  22. I would never be happy for a rival teams star player to get injured. The best thing for the Sox for the rest of the year is play the hardest, healthiest opponents they can. They need to keep playing their starters and continue to play at the same level they have all season against top calibur opponents to be ready to make a run in the playoffs. I dont think many fans would be happy with a one and done in the playoffs this year, and theyre not gonna be prepeared by playing teams out of contention.
  23. Ill root for the twins, indians, yankees or red sox as long as theyre playing oakland. I wouldnt care who the sox played in the first round if they make the playoffs besides Oakland.
  24. I didnt know that these fair weather fans were being educated on how to fit in. I could just imagine some of the people I know reading this and actually paying attention to it. That mullet comment is a little stereotypical. Those idiots that stormed the field really didnt help the image of the average white sox fan.
