QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Aug 29, 2006 -> 12:31 AM) No, dog's kind of a bbq thing. They stick with the Dixies for that. Im pretty sure I saw dog on a menu in a chinese restaurant.

Dont they eat dogs on China?

I hate how HBO spreads out their series so people who have dishes keep their subscriptions. I love this show though, I wish it was longer then a half hour.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 11:18 AM) Walkers solution for Santana Just pitch a shutout. Pretty much he has given up on scoring a lot of runs on him. We can put up runs against the best closers in the league, the best pitchers in the league, but our management has just given up on cracking Johan. Nice, maybe we can bring Charlotte up and see if they can beat him. Johan is good, but he is not a god. He can be beat. If the Royals and their offense can put a 4 spot up on him we can. I cant believe I just read that

Super troopers was a damned funny movie, the part where they meow at the car they pull over makes me need to see this movie alone. My love of beer doesnt hurt though.

At least they didnt bring up mullett night.

I liked a lot of his older movies like cocktail and Jerry MaGuire but he has flipped out and is reall making scientoligy look worse then it already is.

2 of 3 would be a big step right now for us. They do have the pitching match ups lined up for them perfectly however. I hope the Dye batting third experiment keeps looking the way it did today and they should be in every game.

QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Aug 24, 2006 -> 05:32 PM) For so long people have tried to ship Garland out of town. Even after last year, he was the first person people wanted to see gone this off-season. Perhaps the greatest break the Sox got this year was when they signed Garland there was a no trade clause for this year. Because basically without Garland the Sox would be around 5 games out of the WC, let alone challanging for a division. This is exactly what I was thinking. I didnt think there was anyway we would give keep him around but combine his recent success with his age and we got pretty luck that well have him around for a while.

I agree that a lot of Thomes success or lack there if is very cotingent of how Pods and Iguchi are doing.

The Ozzie Guillen Battleground Thread
DrunkBomber replied to whitesoxfan101's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I think its a combination of many things. things that were overlooked last year due to the success, especially of the pitching. I dont think there would be as much dismay for Ozzie if he didnt have the media circus he has this year or if they were winning a little better. Most years we would be happy being in contention for the playoffs late in the year but the fact remains that this team is built to win now and it might not be Ozzies fault the starters have dropped off but there are many other things that have been fumbled with his in game management. -
The most recent was the rubber match against the Yanks and then the three against the Tigers but that was stopped at 4. Theyre gonna need to string some together down the stretch though.
-
i heard about this kid too. I suppose it is possible he is 13 but I severely doubt it. But do you think a team would dumb enough to have a kid that big if he was lying about his age? They knew it would draw attention.

First, is the merging onto 290 going both ways at Austin and Harlem. I dont know whos idea it was to have cars merge on the left but it is the main cause for backups on 290. On top of the people who think they are taking a shortcut by riding that long Manheim exit and then getting back on and actually causing more traffic. Finally, for now, driving on the Elgin-O'Hare at Thorndale where people get in the left lane even though it says for over a mile that its closing and then trying to merge and then looking at you like you did something wrong by not letting them in.

Ozzie confronts the cheating allegations...
DrunkBomber replied to RX Bandits's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Like always I dont really disagree with Ozzie but these are things that dont really need to be addressed in these tyrades. I could understand him getting frustrated by being accused of cheating by a few people. -
Nice catch by Iguchi, big play

It will be good having one of our starters in the pen for extended relief. Remember what El Duque did last year. Maybe Javier will be rejuvinated and be the most dominate extended relief man in post season history.

The more I think about it I think its probably much better to have Detroit win but I think I would like Boston to win 2 and Detroit to win 1, if we can win at least 3. If not switch the wins for them.

ST Poll: Who's the most clutch player on the Sox?
DrunkBomber replied to greasywheels121's topic in Pale Hose Talk
IMO its absolutely Joe Crede, he comes up big on offense and defense when the game is on the line. He seems to have alighator blood. This team does have a few players that come up big in the clutch though. -
Dye is having a career year where I think Maggs is past his prime. He is still good, but his dominating days are gone IMO.
-
I think that the Sawx and the Yanks are legit but besides that they are overhyped. Every year they try to throw another team in the contention mix, Baltimore the past few and Toronto this year. It never pans out. I dont think many people will disagree the AL central is the best division this year.

Top 3 web gems in White Sox history
DrunkBomber replied to WhiteSoxfan1986's topic in Pale Hose Talk
does anybody have links to videos of these plays ecept the iguchi play? That play was eceptional. I dont care if it was luck or not, the high risk of that ball going in the stands compared to the way it ended up working out should make it a lock, then the uribe diving in the stands play(who doesnt remember where they were when that happened)I think the last one is kind of a toss up. -
