  1. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 20, 2006 -> 06:44 PM) Liriano is already out for the entire 2007 season after having ligament-replacement surgery on his left elbow. I completely forgot about that, I saw it on the bottem line when I was at a bar a while ago
  2. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Dec 20, 2006 -> 06:24 PM) Napolean Dynamite = Bad Wes Anderson rip-off but without the intelligence or heart. Terrible movie and all of it's "great lines" are complete throw-aways. I don't understand the following it gets. Anchorman has it's moments. I would never call that movie "dry". 40 Year Old Virgin could have been great, but the fact that it's running length makes Lord Of The Rings (yes, the whole trilogy) feel like a friggin' Tom and Jerry short hurts it something terrible. I liked it, but by the time it ended I was really ready for it to end. Talladega is in this category too. I just think its an aquired taste.
  3. We dont wanna turn this guy into Kerry Wood
  4. I dont have season tickets but if I did I probably wouldnt renew them this year. We almost got some last year but didnt think the locations available were worth it for the price.
  5. I think we are really gonna need to look out for Minni as usual. If Liriano can stay healthy and perform to the level hes capable of that one, two punch will always be dangerous.
  6. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 20, 2006 -> 05:26 PM) A birdie told me there is on burn protection. This birdie knows how to save a business a lot of money
  7. For anyone that says movies like Anchorman or Napolean Dynamite arent funny simply dont get the humor. Its a very, very dry type of comedy. They are by no way slapstick. Actually, they get funnier every time you watch them. The 40 year old virgen too.
  8. I dont use it but my brother does and it seems like a pretty good system. Does anyone that have it know if they have any kind of guard so you cant burn them. If not that would be a good way to accumulate a movie library.
  9. Wow, if I was this kid I would move. He shouldnt have to but who would want to live around people like this anyway.
  10. I knew I wasnt watching the show to listen to Daniel Sterns nariation...
  11. Glass is half full huh?
  12. There are a lot of variables to this question. Its definitely possible though, so thats a good start. If some of our pitchers can return to 05 form. If Thome and Crede stay healthy. If Anderson improves the way Garland and Crede have in our system, then absolutely. We will also be set up ok down the road for a few years to come. IMO
  13. I agree with not wanting to overpay for mediocre talent. I guess its just frustrating that there isnt really anything out there that we can get to help us where we need it most.
  14. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Dec 9, 2006 -> 08:52 AM) What ever happened to this man, the ultimate 80's powerhungry dork/a-hole? What ever happened to Roger Rabbit? What ever happened to Pop Rocks Gum? What ever happened to the Transformers(ie why oh why the years of computer generated cartoons where no one moved their mouths? The new movie by Michael Bay better rock.) I saw a traier like a year ago for a mivie coming out about Transformers.

    Rob & Big

Ive seen it but I hate watchin anything on MTV because I always think theyre up to something promotionally. Like that show Cheyanne they had, where they ultimately held the rights to her music then try to make a big hype about her. Same thing with Ashley Parker Angel. Rob and Big kind of seems staged to me though.
  16. I normally wouldnt answer if I didnt recognize the number but I have recently gotten some calles on my cell phone during my peak minutes which I thought was interesting. There was no way I was gonna listen to a word they said at that point.

    Advertising

The commercials that make me the most angry are the hanes underwear commercials. I saw one with a bunch of guys wearing boxer briefs ONLY playing of all things dodgeball. What the hell is going on in Hanes advertising department. I can only imagine some hotshot advertiser sitting in a board room with a bunch of suits and then he stands up and yells "I got it, dodge ball" They all look around at each other awaiting approval then the old man at the head of the table stands up and goes "I like it, lets get the ball rolling" Im assuming that its a similair pitch that was made to the executives that produced that laffy taffy song. No, I will not be buying this product.
  18. He wouldnt of wanted to play here anyway
  19. QUOTE(iamshack @ Dec 7, 2006 -> 10:17 PM) No one will ever care much for owners. I mean, what's to like? Puts all revenues back into the team, has brought 7 world championships to the City...what an ass... Besides that what has he done?
  20. Id rather have him then a couple of our starters but we wouldnt want to pay him in this market when he isnt significantly better then what we got.
  21. This doesnt make any sense. Why would we clear up room for starting pitching by addind worse starting pitching. I hope the money has a lot to do with it and they plan on making a few more decent sized moves.
  22. I heard he was seen out on the town with Merriman.
  23. I would love to watch this. They should put it on pay per view.
  24. I voted for Rex based on similair overall views.
