QUOTE(T R U @ Jan 8, 2007 -> 08:16 PM) This game is over, Ohio States confidence has to just be getting crushed with the way Florida is sticking it to them.. Weve seen crazy things in sports so who knows if its over. It certainly seems that way though. -

OSU is getting dominated overall -
Between this, a question mark with Anderson and Pods we need to do something to bolster the offense a little. Especially if the starting pitching doesnt rebound as much as were hoping.

1. Ive never taken a drag of a ciggarette in my life. 2. I shattered my ankle and severed my achilles tendon in a car accident. 3. Im the only person in my high school to get ejected from a football game and volleyball game in the same year. 4. My dad started at middle linebacker for Nebraska in the 60s and won a bowl game before going to Vietnam 5. Im 24 and Ive been to Vegas about 15 times at least 8 of which were planned the night prior at the bar and didnt include luggage.

QUOTE(heirdog @ Jan 2, 2007 -> 02:06 PM) No way Mets give up Pelfry and Milledge or Pelfrey and anyone for Buehrle, Garland or Vasquez. So we might as well plug Buehrle into the rotation, get his solid performance over 2007 (contract year) giving us the best shot at WS title and let him walk (and get the draft picks). I know we want to plan for the short and long-term but its one thing to ask Floyd et al to carry the small load as a 5th starter and a whole other to ask Vaquez to be a 3rd starter, Floyd 4th, Haeger/Broadway/Danks/Gio to be a 5th. So unless we get a viable upside MLB-experienced starter and a stud prospect back (Heilman/Milledge?? Personally, I would turn this down), I think the White Sox are closed for business in terms of trading another SP. The only other starter I would want to dump at this point would be Vasquez. MB is all but gone after this year but Id rather get a solid season out of him while preparing these young guys in the minors then trade him for less then hes worth. It could be different at the trade deadline though.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 2, 2007 -> 10:06 AM) I just dont understand when it becomes necessary to elevate a verbal squabble to involved guns and drive by's. Maybe its my upbringing, but I cant see the reason to kick it up to that. Thats my thinking too. Im not sure if this is the entire story, but what justifies shooting at a group of people and htting 3 and killing one because of a verbal squabble? -
QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Jan 2, 2007 -> 12:22 AM) "Pursuit of Happyness" is really depressing. Something bad happens to Will Smith (who's really quite good) in every scene for 2 hours, but there is a 5 minute long happy ending. I couldn't wait for the movie to end. It was really overhyped as being a warm and fuzzy type movie. I found it depressing too.

This is a sad story. He was so young and had a very promising future. RIP -
What kind of town is Chicago?

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Dec 22, 2006 -> 01:54 AM) How many people showed up at the Sox parade? Like 2 million, right? Well, let's just say the Bears had a championship parade that same day. The Sox parade would have had about as many people as the Cell does when the Royals come to town in April. Chicago belongs to the Bears. That would be terrible planning -
Lose my cellphone in a drunken rampage on NYE for the second consecuitive year. Now that I got that out of the way Ill probably just relax.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Dec 30, 2006 -> 02:32 AM) Oh my God, it's Billy Frick! Please, someone better recognize this. Rookie of the year?

I talked to my friend that watched it and he said Liddel won easily but I forgot to ask if it was by knockout.
-
Im still waiting for the results. Im assuming its over. I think Liddel will win.

QUOTE(Brian @ Dec 28, 2006 -> 04:26 PM) from rotoworld.com Tony Romo was forced to change his cellphone number after it was posted on the Philadelphia Eagles' team website. Romo told the Dallas Morning News that several Eagles fans had been leaving him messages. His number was posted on a "fan forum" section. Sounds like Drew Bledsoes work to me for sure.

2k7 Im very superstitous. If you were only planning on keeping for a year then thats all it should be. Then, when they win it again next you can keep it for another year.

Unless you know them you more than likely wont get an attorney for cheaper then the ticket, and youre right, the non moving violation wont effect your supervision. Without counsel the only way really to beat it is if the lawyer shows up. I would just pay it online if you can and get it out of the way. For something that small its not worth missing work over.

QUOTE(spiderman @ Dec 24, 2006 -> 10:37 PM) I think the Bears would scoop him up in a second! Theyd get into a bidding war with the Bengals to pick him up

Im still not completely sold on this trade but the more I hear and read about it the less insane it gets. It does seem, however that it will hinder us next year but we will be stacked after that. SOmeone else on this thread posted about how it would be irrelevant if our 1-4 dont play well anyway. I just wish we would of done more to improve the everyday players like an outfielder or shortstop.
-
What happens if he couldnt play? Cintron?
-
Unless this is a trade to set something else up I really dont like it. We havent done anything to improve our everyday players and traded Garcia for prospects and our biggest prospect who was ready to move into the rotation for more prospects. It seems very Marlinesque to me. What happens when these guys are ready to play, do we trade them for prospects?
