I think Im more excited then I would be because the Sox just won it. But overall the Sox championship meant a lot more to me then a Bears would. If the Bears won this year and the Sox won againt, Id take the Bears over the Second championship, but Ive been alive for a Bears superbowl already, I was only 3, but a White Sox world series could be a once in a lifetime thing.

Best of Soxtalk 2006 Nominations
DrunkBomber replied to Rex Kickass's topic in Soxtalk Awards Archive
QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Jan 22, 2007 -> 07:54 PM) I hate to be a critic, but why are there two awards for political views, and one for baseball views? I mean, afterall, this IS a White Sox message board. Good point, I didnt even notice that. -
You guys are lame, my dog drinks vodka.

Rex should retire from NFL football.
DrunkBomber replied to crazyman26's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Rex made it to the Super Bowl his first full year as a starter. He also did it with a better defense, but significantly less offensive weapons then someone like Manning...either one actually. -
A Kruetz jersey would be nice

My dad and brother live is LA and they were telling me about some bus lane they added a few years ago and are counting the days till theres a high speed chase on tv down one.

Are we really out of contention this coming season?
DrunkBomber replied to Jenksismyhero's topic in Pale Hose Talk
There are so many variables that are gonna determine how well the Sox do next year. First off, I dont see any way people can rule us out of contention already. If our starting pitchers 1-4 pitch to their capabilities and our offense is near where it was at last year we can easily be in contention for a playoff run. Of course, if we get stung by the injury bug it could hurt us. The thing I like about this year is that we wont have a bullseye on our back like we did last year and hopefully we can play well and fly under the radar. -
QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Jan 16, 2007 -> 05:41 AM) Why? And no, there is roughly no chance KW pulls the trigger on such a deal, especially when KW has a respectable SS on the bench. And JFC, don't hate on KW's trades so much. I love McCarthy, and he didn't get s*** for value for Garcia, but SOB, the Sox have more good young pitching close to the majors than any team in the AL Central. Unles Aybar pitches, don't f***ing worry, jesus s***. God I hate people who hate KW. I hate the McCarthy move, but have faith in him until he shows that we don't have to show faith in him (and God I sound like such a KW homer right now, but I'm not) I never said I hated KW, I just wouldnt wanna see my favorite Sox player get shipped off in a deal like this. I realize hes more then likely gonna be gone soon, I just hope we can get something of value for him. This trade just didnt seem to make sense to me.

I used to look at these trade rumors and think nothing of them, but after this offseason I always get worried when I look at these threads. I cant bleieve KW would pull the trigger on a trade like this.

QUOTE(BobDylan @ Jan 13, 2007 -> 01:19 AM) Paula Abdul drunk in the morning. http://www.break.com/index/paula_abdul_sto...r_retarded.html Wow, if thats really her Im suprised her people let her go on tv like that.

Ill have to third and fourth Freaks and Geeks. I never saw it until a recent ex had the whole set on DVD and it was real good. I dont think I even heard of it when it was on tv. What channel was it on.

Everyone in my family were Cubs fans and they were the most annoying people in the world. My dads company got him tickets to a game when I was a little kid and Thomas hit a grand slam, it must of been 93 or 94

If Manning can put up these numbers in the playoffs and win, why cant Rex??
-
Vinateiri is as advertised.

Not to mention they havent been playing their base cover two for the past 5 or so weeks. Had a lot of injuries and havent been under pressure to win games because of their weak schedule. I agree that Baltimores defesne is better. At the same time we have a much better offense. Were in about the same league talent wise, what we lack in experience we make up with youth as well.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 13, 2007 -> 04:27 PM) The Ravens are what the Bears should want to be. They have a slightly better defense and a slightly worse offense. If anything theyre more like the Bears of last year with a better qb who is past his prime.

Ive concluded both these teams suck

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jan 13, 2007 -> 04:02 PM) f***ing Coors Lite commercials have ruined the Mora rant. they might have overused it. But it will always be great.

Indy moved the ball down the field pretty esily their first drive and come away with a field goal

Sox like Dye, but at what cost?..... Goodbye Buerhle ?
DrunkBomber replied to spiderman's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Because of JDs age, this is the best time for HIM to make money. I doubt he'll be able to duplicate his numbers from a year ago so his value is highest now. We should wait to see how he keeps up in the beginning of next season before making a decision on him. -
I agree with a lot of the ones already posted. First off, Paris Hilton for sure. Kirsten Dunst and Lindsey Lohan also. The Olsen Twins. Theyre hideous.

Id go with the Tigers at this point. However, Id say theyre more poised for a let down year where we might be looking at better performances.
