  1. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 18, 2012 -> 11:23 PM) That's like saying people who say they are afraid to travel to Afghanistan or Iraq are scared of people. It's not dogs in general, it's certain breeds of dogs that are more violent than others. I wouldnt compare traveling into a war zone with people being allowed to keep a certain breed of dog in their own home.
  2. This seems pretty ridiculous to me. I didnt know that many people were scared of dogs.
  3. 5 out of the Bears first 10 games were in primetime. I wonder if thats some kind of record. Im not a fan of that many night games personally.
  4. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 15, 2012 -> 11:06 AM) That's a flaw in GTA too, which is why if it becomes more RPG based it'll be more fun. Just doing missions and driving places is fun for a while, but it's not sustainable. My issue with LA Noire was that you did the exact same thing for every case. Walk around, look at clues, push a button, read, walk around, pick up a beer bottle, get angry that the beer bottle meant nothing, blah blah. Occasionally you'd hit a good action sequence but that was about it. Ya it was just easier in LA Noire and GTA than RDR because there were cars instead of horses who you had to monitor their speed before they got too tired.
  5. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 14, 2012 -> 11:10 AM) PPR League Play two. Reece, Morris, Forte Its tougher than it should be but Id go with Morris and Forte, Im assuming Campbell will be dumping off to Forte a lot.
  6. So because I thought the trailer to the new Red Dawn looked interesting I watched the origianl for the first time. The gun fights were understandibly terrible, due to the time of release, but it was pretty entertaining.
  7. I know Im in the minority but I like LA Noire a lot more than RDR. I actually wasnt that big a fan of RDR, too much time spent going from one place to another, it got boring at times.
  8. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 13, 2012 -> 12:38 PM) Yeah, I think I am around 40% too. I just got to New York. I finished the story yesterday but Im still at like 43% because I didnt do any of the side missions while I was going through it. Its my first AC game and I really enjoyed it. Have either of you played the online yet?
  9. There is no chance yahoo is going to do anything, and they shouldnt. It sucks but there is nothing that can be done to fix it. Im a commish in two cash leagues that use yahoo and had 1 person, who I was facing, ask me before kickoff to pick up Dallas' defense and drop SD's and it was actually the difference between me winning and losing. So he would have a legit gripe had I not done it. I had another team start 3 players on bye weeks who I know irl that never even mentioned to me to make a change. Yahoo realizes people have money on the line in their leagues so they are going to let people police them themselves. I probably would have made a few tweaks before kickoff but as the commish theres no way I can go and change my team after the fact and it might cost me in a league or two but it is what it is.
  10. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 12, 2012 -> 02:04 PM) And last week it was HOW DARE TILLMAN EVEN THINK OF WANTING TO ATTEND THE BIRTH OF HIS CHILD OVER A GAME HE GETS PAID XXXX AMOUNT OF DOLLARS AND HE BETTER BE THERE DA BEARS DITKA IS BEST EVER HE WOULD HAVE MADE THE BABY COME IN JULY STUPID PEANUT I know they were covering it on ESPN a decent amount but were many people really saying stuff like that? I interact with a decent amount of Bears fans and not one of them said they would be upset at Peanut for attending the birth of his child. Granted, I didnt listen to much radio this week so Im sure there were some idiots chiming in but Id hope that the vast majority of the fan base didnt have an issue with it.
  11. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Nov 11, 2012 -> 11:22 PM) I read what you said but the fact remains that the offense has been regressing on a weekly basis since Alshon went down. Thats inexcusable, he's just a damn rookie. Hester, Davis, Bennett aren't cutting it. Last week Cutler threw for 230 yards and 3 tds. If the offensive line was better and they had a legit receiving threat at TE then Marshall, Jeffrey, Bennett would be fine. They also have a lot of money tied up in 2 rb's. The first priority is OL and then TE. The window on the defense is closing fast so its not a good time to play chicken with Cutler over a contract. If someone like Peyton Manning becomes available again and the Bears could afford to sign him then great. Until then Ive seen enough of the Kyle Ortons, Caleb Hanies, Craig Krenzels, Rex Grossmans etc, Cutler is fine and has had some success despite his lack of weapons and blocking that he has had since hes been here.
  12. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Nov 11, 2012 -> 11:18 PM) I don't like that one injury to a rookie WR has the ability to completely destroy our passing offense. It shouldn't be this way. Who shall I blame? Did you even read what I said? I mean I get that you think its fun to troll and everything but I said get a new TE and upgrade the offensive line.
  13. If Marshall goes down youre f***ed anyway. Marshall, Jeffrey, Bennett, a NEW capable receiving TE and Hester to spread the defense from time to time would be very potent behind a good offensive line.
  14. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Nov 11, 2012 -> 11:09 PM) I didn't say let Cutler go, I said let him play out next year before deciding to extend him. If hes still putting up a 1:1 TD/int ratio and a completion percentage thats near the bottom of the league...Why keep rolling with a guy on the wrong side of 30, who's never been elite, who's had 3 concussions and poor mechanics and questionable decision making? and replace him with who????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
  15. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Nov 11, 2012 -> 11:07 PM) The O line is not a quick fix. I doubt its just a matter of plugging in one guy. And using the draft is not a guaranteed success, look at Gabe Carimi. Is he lighting the world on fire? no. We need better Olinemen, we need better TE's, we need another 1 or two WR's even. One draft is not gonna fix this. I havent even gotten to the coaching yet. I'm losing faith in Tice. They dont need any more WRs when Jeffrey is back. They definitely need a TE, but that can probably be addressed in FA. O line can be a quick fix if its done right. Remember when the Bears revamped their line with Tait, Brown and Miller and all of a sudden had one of the better O lines in the league? Get a legit LT and all of a sudden your LG is better, then your center is better etc. Any upgrade on the line can make a difference.
  16. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Nov 11, 2012 -> 10:58 PM) I'm a bears fan but there is no more obnoxious or stupid fanbase in sports than the Chicago Bears'. Listening to the radio right now just makes me sad. It really is pretty bad. To anyone who thinks we should let Cutler walk, are you out of your mind? He might not be a top 5 QB but if he had a capable line hed be absolutely fine for what were trying to do. Think of the s*** show at QB the Bears have had since most of us have been alive. I even think just getting Jeffrey back will do wonders for the offense. I dont like Tice as a playcaller and the O line for the most part has been beyond terrible this season but were 7-2. People need to relax and realize we just played a top 5 offense and defense in the rain with our backup qb for the entire 2nd half before we start talking about letting Cutler go.
  17. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 5, 2012 -> 02:25 PM) Was Janikowski a first round pick? He actually went in the 4th or 5th round. I picked up Greg the leg in FA before week 1 and he has been a monster. He had 46 points one week.
  18. I figured this thread would be a good place to vent about this. So my friend joined a league with people he plays cards with. Its $205 entry, 10 teams and $2 for each transaction. I drafted and run the team and get half of anything we win. Its actually the team in the picture I posted with the dumb scoring. Anyway, these guys all know each other, I dont know any of them, they had a live draft and my friend communicated with me on the phone for our picks. So were off to a good start. Were 6-2-1 and have by far the most points. We also have had the high score 2 weeks which is worth $15 each time. When looking through some other teams to see about offering a trade I noticed two teams have the same owner, so I called my friend and asked what that was about. He said that a guy drafted a team and never paid so the commish, who already owns a team, paid an additional $205 and took control of the other team. Neither of us liked it but figured a 9 team league wouldnt work and one of the teams is bad so who cares. Fast forward to this week, the commish manually puts through a trade sending Brandon Marshall and Jared Cook from his bad team to his good team in exchange for Lance Moore and James Jones. Since he did it manually it didnt show up in our transactions feed. So another team notices it and calls him out on it. He desperately tries to defend the trade and said only one team had a problem with it, once everyone else sees it they all agree his two teams should not be trading with each other. His reasoning was the two players he traded score the same amount as Marshall combined so its fair. Note, this is a 60 year old man and yes he really said this. So a few more people politely explain that his two teams should not be trading with each other and as the commish he manually locks his two teams, says he is quitting and is letting the league run on autopilot, not even letting someone else run it. He also switched it from 6/10 teams making the playoffs to all 8 teams make the playoffs. Granted this isnt my money, but I do get half of anything we win, last year we finished third, but is this not the most ridiculous thing youve ever heard lol. http://puu.sh/1mOL4 theres a screen shot of his farewell message
  19. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 5, 2012 -> 09:35 AM) Jeez, what kind of point system do you use? Point per carry? 1 point for every 4 carries and length of touchdown bonus. 3 of Martins TDs were from 60 yards plus. The scoring is stupid in this league though, FGs of 50+ are worth anything from 12 to 24 points depending on the length.
  20. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Nov 4, 2012 -> 12:56 PM) I don't watch a whole lot of NFL, I don't think I've even watched more than 30 minutes of 1 Bears game- but I've been saying since week 3 that this is a Super Bowl team. Their offense needs to make some strides before Id say that, but they certainly have the potential.
  21. Peanut is just unreal. I cant believe how good he is at stripping the ball.
  22. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Oct 28, 2012 -> 11:56 PM) If Fitz can get me 10 points tomorrow in a PPR and Mario Manningham doesnt get 27 points against me Ill go 5-0 for the 2nd week in a row Well, it doesnt look like Im going to get 10 points from Larry Fitzgerald. Im posting this now in hopes that I will be wrong and he can get 8 more points.
