  1. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 09:23 PM) Cadel Evans will beat him in 09. Cadel Evans couldnt hold his single testicle jockstrap in a suitcase.

    What do i do?

QUOTE (Sonik22 @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 07:31 PM) So now i basically f***ed everything up. I hooked up with a girl last night, and i just told her about it. I guess that was pretty wrong to do, but if she didnt really have the feelings i had for her why should she feel so upset about it? But she's just told me that everything is over between us. Wow, just f***. I think in the long run telling her will be a good thing. Younger girls are so into playing games that if she starts thinking about you with other chicks that if she has any feelings for you it will really affect her. Its a much different feeling for her than knowing you are sitting there waiting for her. Id be willing to bet you will hear from her in the near future and the next time you see her you will get a lot of playful, "What about that other girl." If she thinks youve moved on and wants anything to do with you she will reach out to you. Dont sweat it, and either way, its Carbondale, its the best time of your life you should just enjoy it.
  3. QUOTE (JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 06:32 PM) wanna bet he rushes for over 1300 yards again? (assuming he doesn't miss time with an injury then all bets are off) No, I think he will rush for over 1300 yards if he stays healthy. Youre taking what Im saying the wrong way. All Im saying is its harder to rush with no passing game, thats it. Move on already
  4. QUOTE (JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 06:41 PM) yea and the bears would be super bowl contenders if they had peyton manning, whats your point? I'm just saying that even if you know the Vikings have no passing game it is still VERY tough to shut down AP. Heck, all of last year everyone knew the Vikes had no passing game and he still ran for over 1300 yards while missing 2 games due to injury and he did it as a ROOKIE. Ya, he also slowed down towards the end of the year. Im not saying AP isnt great, Im just saying the secret is out now, so things like no passing game are going to effect his production more now that he has a bulls eye on his back as opposed to being a rookie who had a few good games. teams werent loading the box AS much the beginning of last season because AP was still new, now teams are going to force Jackson to beat them. This isnt hard to follow, its football 101 and comparing it to something like Manning being on the Bears is stupid.
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 04:35 PM) No, you only thought that because all of the competitors tested positive for banned substances, so the winner was actually this guy: They have hanging chads in France?
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 05:33 PM) "Sarah Palin is not worse than Blagojevich!" If Illinois wasn't already Obama country for a few other reasons...that's the kind of slogan that I'd love to see the RNC run with. To be honest, is anyone worse than Blagojevich?
  7. QUOTE (Cknolls @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 02:34 PM) Still waiting for Obama to cite when he went against the Dems and fought for something his party was against, or reached across the aisle. Why would he have had to? Theres no corruption in Illinois politics.
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 08:52 AM) I take it you don't remember the stink over Nancy Pelosi doing the samething with her family? Or Blagojevich taking charter jets to Springfield every day because he didnt want to stay in the governers mansion.
  9. I thought they stopped running that after he retired
  10. QUOTE (SoxFanForever @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 12:32 PM) And just who are you picking to win the North? Bears!
  11. QUOTE (JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 05:02 AM) don't tell that to the bears who gave up 224 rushing yards to AP in a game last year that tavaris threw for only 136 yards while completing 9 of 23 passes (i.e. no passing game). Im not saying its not impressive to shut him down, Im saying its easier to shut him down when you know they cant pass. Obviously there are exceptions to the rule.
  12. QUOTE (JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Sep 8, 2008 -> 10:08 PM) yea but the pack shut down AP in the second half (10 for 30 yards), gotta give them credit there because that's no easy task Its easier to shut down AP when they cant pass the ball to save your life and have a lead. Also, Minnys pass defense has actually gotten worse.
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 8, 2008 -> 10:46 PM) Sweet. I actually got sold by marketing for once and ran to NFL.com when I saw there was a promotion for tonight only. It's 20% off customized stuff. The customization is really cool, you can choose your shirt color, main logo and add stuff to the sleeves as well. I got myself a navy blue shirt with the orange C centered on the front and OLSEN 82 on the back, as well as an 82 on the left sleeve. Can't wait for that f***in' thing to arrive. And yes, I probably should have gone with Forte, but you know everyone and their f***ing mother is ordering a Forte at this very moment. Olsen needs some love, and Orton's going to use him lots this season. I got that exact same shirt customized except I got the orange Bears face logo on the sleeve. The big logos fade off after a few washings but theyre worth the price for sure.
  14. QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Sep 8, 2008 -> 09:30 PM) Big win for the Packers, looked solid. Rodgers I thought did a really nice job. GB is still getting penalized a lot like last year, frustrating. GB looked solid but Jackson gift wrapped that game. He would be third string on the Bears, and thats saying something.
  15. QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 8, 2008 -> 09:13 PM) How's the conference overrated? Nobody really thinks highly of it. Or do you mean the teams expected to contend (Vikings, Packers) themselves are overrated? Cuz there, I'd agree. Ya, basically that. I think Minny and Green Bay got too many media HJ's during the off season.
  16. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Sep 8, 2008 -> 04:10 PM) According to CNBC, it is estimated $150 million of fantasy prize money that would have been won, will be lost by owners who drafted Tom Brady. I liked the numbers last year on how much money was won or lost by Westrbrook falling on the 1 yard line at the end of last season.
  17. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Sep 8, 2008 -> 06:56 PM) Watching this Monday night game makes me feel a lot better about the Bears chances in the NFL north this year. There is about 11 penalties already, and its the 2nd quarter with 10:27 left I think the North is one of the most overrated conferences in the NFL. Anyone can win it, except the Lions. Im on record predicting the Bears to win it and Im sticking to it.

    What do i do?

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 8, 2008 -> 12:48 PM) Oh, you will. he aint lying
  19. QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 8, 2008 -> 04:27 PM) That really wasn't necessary True, I should have used naive. My apologies.
  20. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 8, 2008 -> 11:47 AM) An overwhelmingly large proportion of America could care less about capital gains. That's for the elitists. And Obama is proposing an elimination of income tax for seniors making less than $50K. Anyone that doesnt cares about capitol gains tax is an idiot. If it doesnt affect you in some aspect of your life somehow you are doing something wrong.
  21. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 08:09 PM) I'm not even dignifying that with a response. Come up with legit numbers and we'll talk. I'm trying to be nice here. I know, I was just kidding.
  22. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 07:05 PM) I'd be curious to see the online numbers. I havent seen them. no, these numbers: Take the original asking price of Obamas new house, subtract what he paid for it. Then take that number and add it to the difference in the amount per square foot that Tony Rezco paid for the adjacent lot and how much he sold the strip of land to Obama for. Take the sum of those two numbers and compare it to the amounts of money that other politicians bribed Rezco with in order to have "business associates" placed on numerous boards and receive other random favors done.
  23. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 07:59 PM) relatively speaking, internet numbers are WAY easier to gather and much more accurate than TV boxes and pencil and paper diaries. Are you going to crunch those numbers for me? I think the people would like those numbers more than if the reason why so many people watched McCains speech was because of the NFL.
  24. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 07:47 PM) If you have math that might be pertinent to Obama, i'd be glad to work the numbers over. PS: Dont ask me to crunch tax numbers and such. Too many variables. Sure, I think I can find some interesting numbers that may have been overlooked. Take the original asking price of Obamas new house, subtract what he paid for it.
  25. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 03:05 PM) No kidding. GWB has been in control for 8 years and our economy is for s*** but Obama is more of the same!?!?! WTF? I don't think 5% of Obama's policy stances resemble Bush's. What delusional world are they living in? It's laughable at this point. Ya, and congress being taken over by the dems in 06 has really done a lot to help. I didnt realize how much BETTER things have gotten since the switch. Apparently congress has nothing to do with the economy.
