What do you NOT like about your candidate
DrunkBomber replied to southsider2k5's topic in The Filibuster
If people, mainly democrats, arent going to vote for Obama because he is black than that shows a flaw in said democrats. Its nobody that wasnt going to vote for him anyways fault. -
Anyone ever play sumo volleyball on uproar years ago? I was pretty close to the best at that.

I thought this could be interesting. What, if anything, have any of you thought you had become extremely good at? Basically, what in your lives have you become the closest to being the best at the world at something. Ill post mine after a few others. I would assume nobody here is the best in the world at anything, its basically, have you ever been good enough at something that you have always been better than anyone you know at, and even better, maybe taken something online and continued...

Top 10 sites for sports trolls

ESPN is really bad. -
I havent seen this mentioned on here yet. I know this snip it is from a commentator and not a journalist so its biased, but does anyone have anymore insight into Obamas Global Poverty Act? I heard about it on the radio and havent found much on it that isnt one sided. Anyone know whats up?

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 01:47 PM) Do you have an exact quote as to what the Obama campaign told her? Im assuming something like "Are you out of your f***ing mind"

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 05:01 PM) Just started using Chrome today and I freaking love it. So clean. Does it have a home button yet?

QUOTE (rangercal @ Sep 17, 2008 -> 05:36 PM) please share Grossman in, Forte in as 3rd down back, Olsen in, WRs Hester,Bennett,Davis,Bradley,Olsen Harrison in for Dvoracek and Anderson in for brown. Defense- start out the game blitzing, mix it up from where theyre coming from. If he starts getting you with dump off passes, switch to a straight cover 3 (important) and manually alter coverage to curl flats, on ps3 its triangle and down with the left analog stick. then take ogun and shift him over manually to get an outside rush, if he tries to throw a short pass they normally get picked off. The cover three is important because it wont give up a big play. It kind of is a bend but dont break defense but it creates a lot of turnovers and will never give up a big play, the more plays he runs the more likely he will make a mistake, big sack, pick etc. If youre playing a team with a big time WR like TO, always spotlight them, which is L2 and then whatever button that specific guy is on PS3. Offense, feel him out with some runs and safe passes. if he is playing man, obviously try to get hester in single coverage and let grossman pump fake it and launch it to him. That will only work once if at all. Then, see if he is playing man or zone, if its man, run constant outs with Olsen, he will always be open. If its zone, have olsen run go's, just make sure you hold down up and rifle it so its high and over any LBs head. Another great play is the screen to Hester thats in one of the single back formations. Its good for anywhere from 4 yards + at all times unless he is real savy and reads it manually with a safety. Thats some of the better stuff, ive got some other stuff if youre interested. Im on a rampage with this strategy online though. Im like 14-3 and have won 12 in a row. basically the offense is like a west coast, timing routes and always get rid of te ball quickly. Basically have a two man progression where youre reading a defender, and the second you know what hes doing get rid of it.

Anyone play Madden online with the Bears? I think Ive found a strategy that garners consistent success.

QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Sep 17, 2008 -> 12:59 PM) I'm not sure if she is one, but I'm sure she'd shoot one. Are you going to legitimately try to say she isnt a cougar?

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh wikipedia The redheaded slut is a cocktail made of Jaegermeister, peach-flavored schnapps, and cranberry juice. A relatively uncommon variation is to substitute Chambord for the cranberry juice, and possibly to substitute Canadian Whisky and Southern Comfort for the schnapps and Jaegermeister.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Sep 15, 2008 -> 11:36 AM) Haha thats awesome. RHS is a SOCo and Jager shot I think I dont think theres soco in them. I used to them on occasion and if there was soco in them I would have thrown up immediately. Since I didnt throw up till later Im assuming its something else. The jager is correct though.

The undecided voter, what would you say to convince them?

Tell them to become Hannitized. -
I wear a t shirt that says Sarah Palin is a cougar to the bar on weekends.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Sep 13, 2008 -> 07:08 PM) There was a blockage at Salem and Schaumburg rd, and another on Salem rd behind Hellen Keller school. There were two blockages on Bode road as well. You must live right by where one of my friends lives, he lives on Sagamore about 2 blocks west of Salem.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 15, 2008 -> 06:27 PM) I believe that, for the most part, higher black turnout or people voting for him based on his race is mitigated by the honest-to-god racists, with a slightly larger "voting against" crowd. Ya, the whole situation will more than likely be canceled out by the exactly what you just said. Its all coming down to swing states anyway.

I was in a fraternity and played football. As far as football goes, I cant say Ive even heard of anything like this. Its hard to fathom ANYONE sitting there and taking this without a fight. Its rape for gods sakes. As far as the fraternities, I can see how someone who wasnt in one would jump to the stereotypical conclusions but I also dont think they understand the whole spectrum of whats involved. Its not just parties and half ass community service. Its basically running a business, managing people, governing yourselves, learning to cope with different kinds of people etc. Im not the type to claim I made the life long bonds from it, but it was an experience in my life I would never give back or trade anything for.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 15, 2008 -> 05:11 PM) Ok, I'll bite. I'm about to oversimplify this, but we're already in that territory so I guess I have no choice. I'm black (mixed race actually but for the sake of this discussion I'll be black). Odds are about 95% that I'll be voting for Obama come November with the remaining 5% split between McCain and a third party candidate. Has nothing to do with his race - it's a conclusion I came to on my own. You're white (I'm assuming), virtually no chance you'll be voting for Obama and it also has nothing to do with his race, it's because you're a Republican and there's no reason for you to vote for a liberal. Of the two of us, who has brought up race more often? (By the way, the only time I can recall doing it was in the Jeremiah Wright thread when that's what the conversation was about, the one time I got into it with Drunk Bomber, and to disagree at times when you say "race card is being played for X reason".) Ya, ive only brought it up when it was relevant. I dont think it has anything to do with the election at this point. I can see how people bring race up for obvious reasons but I think the actual amount of people that arent going to vote for Obama strictly because he is black shouldnt be too high and vice versa. I do think that there might be a few independent women willing to vote for McCain strictly because of Palin, its just the world we live in.

QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 14, 2008 -> 09:10 AM) If the Bears can keep their running game going and play similar to what they did vs. Indy, they can win today. I think they should win today. When did Carolina become some powerhouse? I think we match up well against them, especially without Smith. They dont have any receivers that our corners cant handle one on one so we can focus on stopping the run. -
Ya, lets start talking about some things that the candidates churches do again. "God damn America"

QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Sep 12, 2008 -> 08:58 AM) I have been and still am 100% in favor of punishing business that knowingly hire illegals. A lot of the time politicians will use the excuse that they cant go around and round up all of the illegal immigrants which is true, but if you punish the enablers severely than it will be harder for them to stay here. I think if an employer is caught employing illegals he should be harshly fined and on an escalated scale. I also think housing should require proof of citizenship. Then, for fun, maybe go to the illegal immigrant rallies and arrest them all. Im sure if drug dealers held a rally that cops would go there to arrest them.

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 09:27 AM) Russell Brand certainly thinks so. He also thought it was funny and cool in an edgy comedian kind of way to show up in public dressed as Bin Laden on Sept 12th 2001.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 09:49 PM) So you know mathematically somehow that life begins at conception? No, thats one topic that I dont really touch. I just think however if youre running for president you should answer questions even if SOME people may not like the answer. The question came to "In your opinion when does life begin?" Considering the nature of where they were I think its a question that should be answered. My point was that its hypocritical to criticize McCain for not answering a question when Obama does the same thing.
-
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 12:00 PM) It'll be interesting to see McCain at the debates. He won't have "thanks, but no thanks" to hide behind. He will actually have to tell us what he thinks about actual issues. as opposed to this question is below my pay grade?

I know the bassist for the Plain White Tees and a kid thats on X games all the time. Both are on my high schools wikipedia and I know on a personal level. My brother is a starving artist in LA and is friends with a guy that had a recurring role on the OC and the guy from the Burger King commercials that used to say "Im spicy"
