  1. Just yesterday morning they let me know you were gone Don't it always seem to go That you don't know what you've got Till its gone One day you're up and the next day you're down, you can't face the world with your head to the ground. You can do anything, but lay off of my blue suede shoes Ohmigod, shoes. Rather than I want to hold your hand, I wanna swallow you whole. I wanna give birth to your baby, baby Scream all night long. Seven screaming diz-busters should go the route and die. Just to let you know, you blow my mind. You've blown it all sky-high by telling me goodbye And I'll be high as a kite by then. I went to a party the other night. I wanted to fill my brain with light. And yeah, I told her that she smells like Kurt Loder. I can dig it, he can dig it, She can dig it, we can dig it,They can dig it, you can dig it, Oh, let's dig it, Can you dig it, baby Shake it; shake, shake it; shake it; shake, shake it; shake it; shake, shake it; shake it like a polaroid picture. As long as you're wearin' clothes that fit ya. In worn out shoes with silver hair, a ragged shirt, and baggy pants, the old soft shoe.

  3. I really liked that awesome halftime show. Too bad there's no sound. In the last few seconds of the clip, where is that? Is that The Urinal?

  7. Yep. In fact, they won the 1932 championship before 11,198 fans at the Stadium.

  9. Rare video of the Bears vs. the Cardinals (1929!). http://sports.aol.com/fanhouse/2007/06/21/...-bears-in-1929/
  10. QUOTE(StatManDu @ Oct 20, 2007 -> 11:05 AM) Borowski went to spring training with the Sox the following season and was traded to Baltimore for infielder Pete Rose Jr. on March 31, 1991. Oddly enough, Pete Rose Jr. is still playing. He's become a fixture in the minor leagues. This past season he batted .342 for the Long Island Ducks.
  11. Phoenix won 3-2. Getz (.286): 2-3, R, RBI, 2 BB, Sweeney (.280): 1-4, RBI, K Lucy (.067): 0-4, 2 K Mochis (8-1) wins again, 8-2. Bourgeois (.326): 2-5, R Waikiki is underway and Inouye isn't in the lineup.
  12. Phoenix won today 3-1. Russell and Day got holds and Fernando Hernandez got a Save. Day's hold was once again of the ugly variety. Russell: 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 2 K Day: 1 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 1 K Hernandez .2 IP, 1 K Getz: 1-3 Sweeney had the day off. Waikiki hasn't started yet. Inouye isn't in the lineup. Mochis is in progress, tied 1-1 in the 6th. Bourgeois: 1-3.
  13. Phoenix won 7-5. Sweeney: 1-4, R, BB, 2 K Mochis is up 5-1 in the 5th. Bourgeois: 1-3, R, SB, K
  14. Mochis won 5-0. Bourgeois(.345): 3-4, 2 R, 3B, 2 RBI, BB I was interested to know where Mochis is so I googled it. Los Mochis is a coastal city in northern Sinaloa, Mexico. Today the Pacífico Norte irrigation region (Sinaloa-Sonora) in which the "Valle del Fuerte" is the largest district and is the principal agricultural area of Mexico, containing over 70% of all irrigated land and producing sugar cane, cotton, rice, flowers, and many types of vegetables. The valley is one of the largest producers of mangoes in Mexico. A popular activity among youth in Los Mochis is the "Leyvazo", wherein people park their cars or cruise along Leyva Boulevard in downtown Los Mochis ,and the "Riazo" that is even more popular than the "Leyvazo" where the people park their car to listen to music , talk , eat in the restaurants that are near there , or drink some kind of drink , some people just pass the street in their car with friends they call it " Dar el roll". People also gather for a drink or barbecue under "Los Álamos" which are poplar trees that line the highway to Topolobampo Bay. As well as these activities, many residents of the city enjoy visiting the nearby beach of El Maviri. Many people visit this semi-desert island to spend a day at the beach or enjoy the seafood delicacies. Teddy Higuera, former Brewer pitcher is from Los Mochis.
  15. Mochis lost their first game last night in 11 innings. Phillips pitched well but ran into trouble in the 6th. Phillips: 5.1 IP, 7 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 4 K, 1 HR. He left the game with the lead. Bourgeois: 0-4
  16. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Oct 13, 2007 -> 04:08 PM) I'm say his "we finally have some good SS prospects" quote is misguided when none of the guys mentioned are close to the prospect Valido was 2 years ago... It sells the Sox system of a couple years ago short, while simultaneously overstating what kind of SS prospects we have now. I haven't forgotten that a couple of years ago Valido looked like a can't miss prospect (if there is such a thing). I was excited about the possibility that at 20, or whatever he was at the time, he looked like he was the SS of the future. Well, he sure struggled in 2006 and and seemed to have a so-so season (at best) this year. At 22, which is what I believe he is now, he's still pretty young and from the way I see it, can't be totally dismissed yet. That said, at this time I'm more excited about Miranda, Paiml and Silveiro as a whole and think it's a pretty good thing to have, from what I can tell, a surplus of pretty decent SS prospects, hopefully one of which will work out as a good major league SS. If this is overstating things, oh well, then overstated it is.
  17. Bourgeois scored the winning run in a 14 inning game today. He went 2-5 again and walked twice. He scored twice and stole his 5th base. The game in Hawaii has started and Inouye isn't in the lineup.
  18. Between this kid, Miranda and Paiml (I know, I know...he's "old"), I think we have some pretty good SS prospects finally.
  19. Here's a link for Hawaii Winter League coverage. http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/events/winterleagues/?league=hwb
  20. Phoenix won 7-5. Adam Russell threw 2 scoreless innings, allowing 1 hit, 1 walk and fanning 1. Ryan Sweeney went 1-4, scored 1 with 1 rbi. He fanned twice. In the Mexican League, Bourgeois went 2-4 (singles) with 1 R, 2 RBI. In a Hawaiin League game still in progress, Matt Inouye has gone 0-3 with 1 rbi.
  21. Waikiki won, Inouye DNP. Phoenix won 7-2. Fernando Hernandez pitched 1 inning, walked 1 and struck out the side. Day...did the same (Go White Sox!). Sweeney, batting third in the order, went 2-4 with a BB. Getz and Lucy DNP.
  22. Put me in coach! I just made it as the 12th team. Rock 'n roll.
  23. Matt Inouye was 1-4, 2B, R, RBI for the Waikiki BeachBoys. Egbert started for Phoenix and went 2 innings, allowing 1 H, 1 BB and fanning 1. Seven pitchers combined for a 1-0 win. Each team only managed 3 hits. Getz was 0-3 with 2 Ks. Sweeney pinch hit and fanned on a foul tip. Lucy was also 0-3 with 2 Ks. Note: The box score has Sweeney pinch-hitting but with no official AB. The game wrap says he fanned.
  24. Matt Inouye batted .309 in 40 games for Great Falls this year. He had a .400 OBP. He's currently on the roster of the Waikiki BeachBoys in the Hawaii Winter League (not a bad gig). So far he's played in just 1 game, going 2-3. I believe he's the lone representative of the White Sox playing in Hawaii.
  25. QUOTE(forrestg @ Oct 7, 2007 -> 11:03 PM) me too... I was trying to imitate KW's logic. However; I think Kw will resign Uribe We can be angry when that happens. His september was good. Isn't his September always good? Problem is April, May, June, July and August.
