  1. QUOTE(Elcaballo45 @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 06:29 PM) Since Carlos left, Uribe is definitly my favorite player now. Although, I may have been on the few to love Uribe back in May/June. Got to stick with your players through the thick and thin. I swear he becomes a better and better fielder. He's become AMAZING.
  2. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 06:27 PM) Sounds from the Booth TIM McCarver: Hey Lou, has the nurse come by to change our catheter bags yet? LOL!! That's about it.
  3. This is lookin' good so far and I have the confidence to actually say it.

  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 06:01 PM) Looked like a good pitch there. It SURE did. Got the K anyway. These announcers oughta shut up, what the hell are they talking about.
  6. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 05:55 PM) In the 2nd inning of a game 3 in a 7 game series where the other team has a damn good bullpen, I'll take a 10 pitch at bat every time even if the guy does make an out. Wear that starter down, get the bullpen in early, and end up coming from behind to win game 5. The Yankees and A's both did it to the Angels a couple times this year. Once you get past Shields, K Rod, Donnely, and maybe Escobar, or even if you get those guys working 3+ days in a row...they really do wear down. That's for darn sure. Real good AB's!!
  7. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 05:47 PM) The rumor is that Big Vlad is injured. He isn't hitting at all and he's running like a girl. LOL!! Oh well, too f***ing bad for LA.
  8. QUOTE(sin city sox fan @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 05:35 PM) Can you say f*** yeah???? If I could read lips, yeah AJ just said that.

  11. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 05:25 PM) GOD DAMN IM PUMPED!!! LETS DO THIS THING!!!!!!!! YEAH!!! LET'S GO WHITE SOX!!!!!
  12. QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 08:25 PM) If you get desperate for people towards the end, I'll join this league too. Otherwise, I'll let someone else take the spot. Likewise. If you guys don't come up with enough teams, I'll play in this one too.
  13. Great post and an outstanding picture! It's now my computer background...THANKS!
  14. QUOTE(Ozzie Montana @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 08:14 PM) They executed - they won. We didn't - we lost. They even said on the pre game that our hitters had to lay off the guy's slider and we didn't. No one can put down a damn bunt. We ran ourselves into outs. Ozzie outmanaged himself. They got the momentum. We lose tomarrow, then that means we are in trouble. Im going to sleep it off now. I agree that Ozzie outmanaged himself. I could not believe that in the 9th inning with LA and everyone in the park expecting Rowand to bunt they didn't cross 'em up and have him swing away, a little hit and run perhaps? That was plain stupid, I was really miffed big-time! It wasn't exactly a horrible bunt but with LA expecting it, it obviously didn't work. And for the one millionth time, Pods has got to stop trying to steal 2nd. With last nights loss, a W tonight is an obvious MUST. GO WHITE SOX!!!
  15. I watched the game on TV and thought the crowd was really into every pitch in the 1st inning, roaring with Jose's strikeout of Figgins to start the game. Anderson's homer really quieted the crowd though. Someone mentioned the crowds at Bulls games back in the Jordan days, i.e., the "sweater people". From the crowd shots that I noticed there certainly were some of those types, they're easy to spot. But, I'm sure that there were still plenty of good Sox fans making plenty of noise. Here's to a better Game 2......
  16. QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 09:02 AM) You want to get the crowd going? Two words: Wayne Messmer. Best. National Anthem Singer. Ever. Agreed. Or Billy Idol.
  17. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 02:08 PM) Yeah man, you f***ed up my entire plan. I looked at some of the beef beyond those in the Top 100, and I figured that I'd have a glorious draft in terms of big men. Those that I drafted in bold: #109 Sam Dalembert #110 Ike Diogu #122 Stromile Swift #133 Joe Przybilla #145 Al Jefferson #153 Nenad Krstic #165 Lorenzen Wright #235 Zaza Pachulia I also wanted Al Jefferson badly. And I ain't gonna lie. Kwame Brown at #280 overall would have been my final pick, but he got snagged right before I had a chance to draft him. I had him in que and what not. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure that he'll suck badly, but there's still that delusional basketball fan in me that sees 18 points and 10 rebounds per game. Hahaha!! So you wanted Kwame too?? Sorry I snagged him, but you took Dalembert right before I was gonna pick him. As for Kwame, he has the potential so I'm hoping under Jackson's wing he may bloom. I understand Jabbar is working with him. Incidently, I wanted Jefferson too. And yes, my team is The Wichitas.
