  1. I just can't see how Hawkins staying in High A and striking out at such a ridiculously high rate is a what's best for him. His K rate is absurd.
  2. QUOTE (MuckFinnesota @ Jun 16, 2013 -> 01:57 PM) Carlos Torres also pitched for the Mets today...I'd rather see him out there than Nate Jones. The Cubs swept a bad team, and the Sox may get swept by an even worse team. What's wrong with this picture? Nothing. The Sox have become that "worse team".
  3. QUOTE (mike89128 @ Jun 16, 2013 -> 01:54 PM) Remember the last few years when AAA pitchers and rookie pitchers made the Sox look bad? Probably no other team is as consistently bad against such, as are the White Sox.
  4. I see Aardsma pitched for the Mets todsy. I didn't kinow he was still around.
  5. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 16, 2013 -> 01:35 PM) Sox one hit thru 5 against worst team in AL. This pleases me at least in that I picked up Dallas Keuchel on a couple of fantasy teams. Not a bad strategy to pick up probable starters who are facing the White Sox.
  6. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 16, 2013 -> 12:29 PM) Dunn's BABIP trending upward some more. And with another hot streak he could get up to .190 too.
  7. QUOTE (mike89128 @ Jun 16, 2013 -> 12:23 PM) Getting the Astros feed again.Announcers said the talk about the Sox is they beat themselves with poor play and mistakes that don't appear in the box score.Referenced Danks pickoff last night. They're right. Ain't that the truth. It's the old "finding ways to lose" way of playing.
  8. Yes. But fire Greg Walker. Seriously, this mess isn't Robin's fault, well maybe a little bit here and there. It's on the players, all but for a few I hope are gone next year. Hahn deserves a little bit more time but this is much more on who put this crap team together than who's making in-game decisions. Right now I'd like to see more fire out of Robin; show us, show his team that he's as pissed off as we are.
  9. We've turned into the Mariners and Sale is Felix Hernandez.
  10. Come on White Sox. Let's not waste a fine effort from Sale. Let's get some runs!!!!
  11. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 13, 2013 -> 10:59 PM) The competitive difference between low A and high A doesn't make up for the likely psychological damage done by demoting a young guy 30-some games into his first full season of professional baseball. Striking out at an insanely alarming rate and batting under .200 is likely causing psychological damage though.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 13, 2013 -> 12:06 PM) Back in 1995, I went to this game and remembered being upset that a no-name pitcher with a high ERA completely dominated the White Sox. http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CH...199507040.shtml Holy crap. I don't even remember Rivera starting games. And little did you know there were 2 future Sox managers in the lineup. Dave Martinez, anyone?
  13. The worst game for me was probably the 1970 home opener. Sox and Tommy John lost to the Twins 12-0. Home openers are so cool because excitement of a new season is so high. Starting anew after a dreadful 1969 season, I had high hopes for the White Sox. Meh, same old sh*t. At least I got to see the major league debut of the one and only John "Pineapple" Matias.
  14. Trey Michalczewski ‏@T_Michalczewski 3m It's official!! Can't wait to start my professional career! #whitesoxnation
  15. Conor Gillaspie is very bad at baseball.
  16. Jesse "F***ing" Crain! Man what an incredible year he's having.
