  1. In both of his stints with Winston-Salem he has pretty much owned hitters at the High A level. I hope he's moved up to Birmingham soon.
  2. C'mon Sox, let's do an Arnie Muñoz on this guy!
  3. I love that it's getting close to June and Konerko's batting .381!
  4. QUOTE (kapzk @ May 23, 2012 -> 05:58 PM) So another rookie is owning us thus far Who's owning who?
  5. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ May 23, 2012 -> 11:22 AM) Hawk is one of my idols. He is the reason I do play-by-play now. I love him to death, however, I will acknowledge he is an awful, awful broadcaster. And even with that said, I want him in the booth until he is dead. I like Hawk. I loved the pairing of Wimpy and Hawk. I liked them even more than Harry and Jimmy. I agree however that he is pretty awful and becoming increasingly worse with advancing age. It's much like how awful Harry became. I just wish Hawk would decide to "hang 'em up". He's just like the athlete that keeps playing even though he's obviously not good any more. And you can't blame him, he loves what he's doing.
  6. QUOTE (Andrew @ May 22, 2012 -> 09:22 AM) I'm gettin' all choked up.
  7. Bob Boozer, former Bulls all-star forward. Boozer was also an Olympic gold medalist. He was 75.
  8. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ May 18, 2012 -> 04:49 PM) I didn't get to see the game but why are we freaking out if PK was hit by a high 80's splitter? I think really only Greg is freaking out. But are you insinuating that it's no big deal to be hit in the FACE with an 80-something mph pitch? Watch it if you didn't see it. It sounded terrible. Another inch or so and it's maybe a Tony Conigliaro-type injury, ie., a career ending injury.
  9. QUOTE (Brian @ May 18, 2012 -> 09:03 AM) Seeing some Cub fans on FB and Twitter call Wood GREAT is making me nauseous. Here's a funny one. "Bummer. Woody was on of my favorite Cubbies for many years. I wish he could have stayed healthy along with Prior. We could have won atleast one championship".
  10. AJ: 9-14 in his last three games.......pretty good.
  11. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 16, 2012 -> 09:03 PM) Yeah, I just noticed Septimo's numbers too. Wowza. Wowza is right. Great to see because he was absolutely brutal in spring training.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 16, 2012 -> 12:07 PM) See you in 2015
  13. I think the coolest thing about his story is that he grew up a hardcore White Sox fan. It was truly a dream come true for him to pitch for the Sox. I remember when he first came up he talked about how it hadn't been that long ago when he was sitting out in the bleachers with his buddies.
