doubt the cubune would trade wood to the sox.... bad for them... some of the bums may become sox fans... and with the rotation we have... i dont think the cubune will risk the sox winning the WS.... because they allowed us to have wood as our 3rd-4th starter...

Beckett is by far my favorite of the Marlins pitchers. Beckett puts up 9 k's per 9 IP and he doesn't do it by throwing 100, he is 93, 94, he just pitches so damn well at such a young age...If only those damn blisters on his fingers would go away. I think the White Sox should trade Stewart, Paul, Glover, Almonte for Beckett and Ramon Castro. Then have Castro be the starting catcher for everyone but Colon--let Alomar catch Colon. Castro is a guy that could hit 20 HR in full season of work, his defense is good to, but apparently Florida is not big on him because they didn't play him much last year--even with CJ's struggles--and because they got I-Rod, Castro will be sitting on the bench as a 3rd stringer this year, so I say trade for him Imagine Buehrle Colon Garland Beckett Wright there is no way we get beckett for those stiffs. We would need to offer, Malone gar and rauch... u gotta remember the guy was a #1 pick....

Yea mine seem to wait till this week since the drop deadline was on friday... so they dont have to grade papers for those that drop... and "this way you can study over SB" yea right like anyone cracks a book during sb... at a florida school no less.. christ the beach is a 30 min drive from campus.

AJ Burnett would take a LOT more then rauch... AJ is the real deal. AJ was injured at the end of last year....and is sore again this spring(I believe....I know he has been hurt a little). His opening day start is in question, I know that. I don't want to trade for AJ just yet....with Torberg and his past mishandling of pitchers in the season....it scares me. I just don't really want to trade for any of the Marlins's pitchers, in all reality, except maybe Josh Beckett is that chance ever came up. If we got Josh Beckett cheap....pigs would be flying LOL, Pigs, cows, hippos.... AJ has had lots of questions about his health in the past... but hes worked thru them... with that said hes taken quite a workload over the last 3-4 years...

From all i have read... Stewart throws 4 pitches for strikes. He moves the ball around well, and changes speeds... much like buehrle... Although calling him the second coming of buehlre is going a bit far... If you want to make a $10M donation to the Sox, I'm sure JR and KW would be MORE than happy to apply those funds to the payroll and obtaining another player or 2. Just make it out to Jerry Reinsdorf. jr gets a nice sized donation from me each and every year i purchase my season tickets........trust me if i sent him a 10 mil donation i would also put a string on it so i get to choose who he buys with that money.........i wanna make sure its well spent not just tossed away on a kw pipe dream.......... Agreed, If i were to give him that kinda cash, it would be used for Buehrle... and maggs. Thats about it. No more paying a half season 1bman that cant run or play D 8 mill for his leadership.

Also, Glover is a little to valuable to this team right now... Granted hes not done to well this ST. However hes a very good long man, and can perhaps turn into a pretty damn good setup guy. With White having troubles... if we trade away Glover we are forced to place ginter into the bullpen (granted hes earned it). But that costs us vaulable depth in the pitching staff. ITs one of our strong points right now. And considering how injuries to pitchers can come outta no where i'd rather take my chances with paul, alomar and olivio then weaken the pitching staff.

Glover and someone else perhaps... not paul.. cause it puts them in the same predicament... send him down and lose him for nuthing...

You are probaly right about them wanting Stewart over Glover but remember they have a lot of talent at the Catcher postion and like us have a guy who is out of options who they would probaly lose on waivers. I think they would be willing to take a guy like Glover just so they don't lose Castro for nothing.(which would happen if they tried to send him down to AAA). Thats why I think we could get him for Glover and Paul. No way the do that trade... cause then they would lose paul on waivers... ITs pointless for them... they wouldnt ask for glover who has had a rather poor spring. They would want guys like ginter, Stewart, Sanders... Stewart is a great security blanket incase someone gets hurt....
