Just remember, Garland was headed to Anahiem for Erstad prior to last season. This is one reason i love disney, While Erstad is a great plyer... GARLAND IS GOING TO BE MUCH better... Garland has what it takes... i believe when foulke was traded he said some great things about gar... if you would take note this spring his K's are way up and his walks are almost gone... hes taking the next big step... learning to throw strike one and just trust his stuff.

Because MJ was contributing nothing. His bat just went south and his defensive play was following. And I agree with this assesment. Mark johnson was a much better defensive catcher then JP will ever be. He never would hit more then .240 though... however he got on base fairly well. The one thing i really liked about MJ though was his the way he handled the pitchers... Plus MJ still has a freaking option left.

actually i agree with your selection quite a bit. Hes a great OBP guy and a proven lead-off man.. I think thats about the only area our O is lacking in. And as you said its a far more realistic suggestion then some of the others being bounced around What in the hell are you talking about? Miguel Tejada is a very realisic suggestion! Richardi won't get much at the deadline, Stewart played CF earlier in his career, he could play it again. I dont think he has a arm for it. Also he had some injury concerns that forced the move to DH/LF....

Does he play CF? I thought he only played LF because of his weak arm....I know he DHed a little too. If we could get him for dirt-cheap(like maybe 2 minor prospects)....it might be worth it. He does play LF, and the only reason hes still a blue jay is because Ricardi is asking for a lot in return for the guy....
