I would respect Wise more as player if he asked to be sent down. There is clearly something wrong since he returned. Before his injury he actually put together a few good games. However, since his return, he has played worse than any player in the bigs. Just man up, asked to be sent down (or put on the DL), work on your issues, and try to fight your way back. Others have done it.

Didn't the card companies saturate the market around that time? I remember when it was Topps, Fleer, and Donruss, or something like that, and there was one normal card and maybe an All-Star card of a player. Then Upper Deck came in and all of a sudden you had all these new types of cards. I stopped collecting around 1990-91. The only good thing is if you are a collector or looking to get back into it, you should be able to get some nice vintage cards pretty cheap.
